Si las estrellas hablaran 2025 (REVIEW) [ENG/ESP]

Hello community! It's been a long time since I've seen anything from the great Lee Minho and this year I finally got to see something new from him, so in this post I will tell you all about If the Stars Could Talk.

Gong Ryong (Lee Minho) is an obstetrician-gynecologist who lives his life congratulating women when they become mothers, he also dates the daughter of the president of MZ Group, one of the biggest companies in Korea. Their relationship is not well liked by the president, so to get his blessing, Gong Ryeong agrees to go into space as a tourist on a secret mission. On the other hand, Eve Kim is the commander of the space mission, she is a woman with a lot of experience in her job, she is a perfectionist and always follows the rules.

For starters, the cast is well known, Gong Hyo-jin, the actress who plays Eve Kim is known for roles such as Seo Yoo-kyung in Pasta or Ji Hae Soo in It's Okay, That's Love.

Lee Min-ho has starred in Boys Over Flowers, The Heirs and The King: Eternal Monarch. Also several actors in this series are quite well known, which is why I was more disappointed.

Honestly from the beginning I didn't have much faith in the series but just because Lee Minho is the main character I wanted to give it a chance, although the premise of the drama seems very good the way it was developed didn't convince me at all.

It has boring chapters, I don't like the main character, and the ending seems a bit unfair and cruel to me. To put it in context (in case you don't want to watch the series) the president of the MZ group had two children, a woman (Gong Ryong's fiancée) and a man (Na Min-jung's deceased husband) this last couple couldn't have children, but after the man's death they still kept his sperm so the secret plan (and the real reason why Gong Ryong goes to space as a tourist) is to fertilize Na Min-ji's eggs along with that and thus be able to create human life in space. However; the moment Commander Eve Kim finds out she does her best to destroy the experiment, later we find out that the experiment was a success for the second time with eggs left over and upon arriving on earth when they were about to perform the artificial insemination the space team that sent Gong Ryeong into space stopped it and destroyed everything again.

I understand why they did what they did, they said there could be consequences to the baby or the mother due to being created in space, plus it was an unauthorized secret mission so it is considered illegal. But, astronauts are not supposed to have sex in space let alone get pregnant because of these exact same risks, yet it happens (unplanned, but it happens) and Eve Kim gets pregnant, this time as she is the commander the rest of the crew does everything they can to keep her and the baby safe just because she wants to (which I thought was a bit unfair). It's a pretty touchy subject due to the fact that it's talking about human life and more specifically about future innocent babies. But beyond that, what I'm trying to make clear is how people are treated depending on the position and acquaintances you have. Yes Na Minju is part of a chaebol family, but even with all the money and support of the president she could not at least try to have her baby, while in the case of Eve Kim it was something that just happened and because she was loved by her peers and was the “Commander” there were people who immediately helped her. Both acts were illegal but they were treated differently.

Despite all this it still saddens me to remember that Eve could only spend one day with her daughter as she died shortly after giving birth, and in this same way the end of the drama gives me to understand that the girl did not live many years either and Gong Ryong did live a little longer but with side effects that were left from having been so long in space.

The story of Eve and Gong Ryong I don't like either, I don't know if it's something about the characters or the couple but I was bored every time I saw them and I didn't see much sense in their relationship. Other than that there were characters with unfinished endings and others that I didn't like. The story reminded me a bit of the movie The Space Between Us with the difference that I liked that one.

I know that the drama has had several negative comments, I don't know if it's for the same reasons as mine but I'm just here to leave my opinion. I also want to make it clear that it is easier for me to give my opinion as this is a fictional story, the plot involves messages about the importance of life and let me tell you that every life matters, those who do not wish to have children are in their right not to have them and those who do deserve a chance.

Honestly I don't think it would surprise you if I said it's a drama that I don't recommend but I don't deny that it has an interesting story, still I would have liked to see it approached in a different way.

Hola comunidad! hace mucho tiempo que no veo nada del gran Lee Minho y este año por fin pude ver algo nuevo de él, así que en este post les contaré todo sobre Si las estrellas hablaran

Gong Ryong (Lee Minho) es un obstetra-ginecólogo que vive su vida felicitando a mujeres al momento de ser madres, además sale con la hija del presidente del Grupo MZ, una de las empresas más grandes de corea. Su relación no es muy querida por el presidente, así que para conseguir su bendición Gong Ryeong acepta ir al espacio como turista con una misión secreta. Por otro lado, Eve Kim es la comandante de la misión espacial, es una mujer con mucha experiencia en su trabajo, es perfeccionista y siempre sigue las reglas.

Para empezar el cast es bantante conocido, Gong Hyo-jin, la actriz que hace de Eve Kim es conocida por papeles como Seo Yoo-kyung en Pasta o Ji Hae Soo en It's Okay, That's Love.

Lee Min-ho ha sido protagonista de Boys Over Flowers, The Heirs y The King: Eternal Monarch. Así mismo varios actores de esta serie son bastante conocidos, Razón por la cual me decepcioné más.

Honestamente desde un principio no le tenía mucha fé a la serie pero solo por ser Lee Minho el protagonista quise darle una oportunidad, aunque la premisa del drama me parece muy buena la forma en la que se desarrolló no me convenció del todo.

Tiene capítulos aburridos, la protagonista no me cae bien, y el final me parece algo injusto y cruel. Para ponerlos en contexto (por si no quieren ver la serie) el presidente del grupo MZ tuvo dos hijos, una mujer (la prometida de Gong Ryong) y un hombre (el esposo difunto de Na Min-jung) esta última pareja no podía tener hijos, pero después de la muerte del hombre aún conservaban su esperma por lo que el plan secreto (y la verdadera razón por la que Gong Ryong va al espacio como turista) es fecundar los óvulos de Na Min-ji junto con eso y así poder crear vida humana en el espacio. Sin embargo; al momento de la comandante Eve Kim enterarse hace todo lo posible por destruir el experimento, más adelante descubrimos que el experimento fue un éxito por segunda vez con óvulos que quedaban y al llegar a la tierra cuando estaban a punto de realizar la inseminación artificial el equipo espacial que envió a Gong Ryeong al espacio lo detuvo y destruyó todo nuevamente.

Comprendo el por qué hicieron lo que hicieron, dijeron que podrían haber consecuencias en el bebé o la madre debido a ser creado en el espacio, además de que fue una misión secreta no autorizada por lo se considera ilegal. Pero, se supone que los astronautas no pueden tener relaciones en el espacio y mucho menos embarazarce por exactamente estos mismos riesgos, aún así eso pasa (sin ser planeado, pero pasa) y Eve Kim queda en estado, esta vez como se trata de la comandante el resto de la tripulación hace todo lo posible por mantenerla a ella y al bebé a salvo sólo porque ella así lo desea (lo cual me pareció un algo injusto). Es un tema bastante delicado debido a que se habla sobre vida humana y siendo más específicos sobre futuros bebes inocentes. Pero más allá de eso lo que intento dejar en claro es el trato que reciben las personas según la posición y conocidos que tengas. Si Na Minju es parte de una familia chaebol, pero ni con todo el dinero y el apoyo del presidente pudo al menos intentar tener a su bebé, mientras que en el caso de Eve Kim fue algo que sólo pasó y por ser alguien querida por sus compañeros y ser la ¨Comandante¨ de inmediato hubieron personas que la ayudaron. Ambos actos fueron ilegales pero tuvieron tratos diferentes.

A pesar de todo esto me sigue entristeciendo el recordar que Eve sólo pudo pasar un día con su hija ya que murió al poco de dar a luz, y de esta misma manera el final del drama me da a entender que la niña tampoco vivió muchos años y Gong Ryong si vivió un poco más pero con efectos secundarios que le quedaron de haber estado tanto tiempo en el espacio.

La historia de Eve y Gong Ryong tampoco me gusta, no sé si es algo de los personajes en si o de la pareja pero me aburría cada vez que los veía y no le veía mucho sentido a su relación. Fuera de eso hubieron personajes con finales inconclusos y otros que no me gustaron. La historia me recordó un poco a la pelicula The Space Between Us con la diferencia de que esa si me gustó.

Sé que el drama ha tenido varios comentarios negativos, no sé si será por las mismas razones que las mías pero sólo estoy aquí para dejar mi opinión. También quiero dejar en claro que se me da más fácil opinar al ser esto una historia ficticia, la trama involucra mensajes sobre la importancia de la vida y déjenme decirles que cada vida importa, aquellos que no deseen tener hijos están en todo su derecho no tenerlos y quienes si lo deseen merecen una oportunidad.

Honestamente creo que no les sorprendería si dijera que es un drama que no recomiendo pero no niego que tiene una historia interesante, aún así me hubiera gustado que la abordaran de otra manera.
