Managing the distance can be easier said than done, but takes a lot of commitment to deal with. Constant communication and faithfulness on both sides is one way to handle it.
Yeah , it depends on both partners if they can pay the price for distance relationship which includes time, trust, and commitment.
If I were in a distance relationship, what I'd do is I'd make sure the gap doesn't exist for two long. We should get to see atleast once in 6 months in order to cut the distance. If it isn't possible, then constant communication via voice/video call should suffice. Technology is one way to handle it.
You get the point, once there's effective communication I believe you have been able to solve the problems that comes with distance relationship.
I'm not a fan of distance relationships. But if it turns out that I'm in one, I'd have someone as an extra that will help keep me company till my partner is available. Distant relationships aren't realistic for me.
Not everyone is a fan though, but having someone to share your emotions with can actually affect your relationship.
Having relationships with someone too far away makes partners grow apart. They'd begin to lose interest in each other regardless of whatever means they try to make things work. The best thing to do is to cut the distance totally.
To cut off the distance depends on what actually brought about the distance, which might be work, school or vacation.
Coincidentally, I have an entire content on this topic. Here it is. Coping with the distance. About 10 months ago.
Permit me to quote some of my words from the referenced article/video linked above.
The activities done together is something that makes relationships enjoyable, and this is something that cannot be gotten over the distance regardless of technology which allows for constant communication via face-time and texts, which sometimes leads to the case of doubt and infidelity since each partner may begin to receive attention from someone within their reach.
In the end, a lasting relationship amidst the distance boils down to both partners having a certain level of understanding and trust while developing a top-tier communication which will allow them work things out regardless of the distance.
Appreciating the distance or not It's an individual thing which is solely based on preparing ones mindset for the unplanned situations while developing mechanisms to cope with it.
The above is my opinion.
Wow! You nailed it all thanks for sharing your opinion.
I wouldn't know what to do in a situation like the one you raise in your video-post. The last time I had to go through something similar was when I was 16/17 years old. And that was a long time ago. Anyway, I congratulate you for the choice of topic and how you have developed it. Excellent work, my friend.
