My Thoughts on Can't Hardly Wait - A Fun Teen Movie

Hi everyone, it's me again and I’ve just seen another awesome old movie titled “Can’t hardly Wait,” and it’s really okay.

Let me tell you about it.

Well it was released in 1998 so it's a bit old school.

The plot is about a group of high school students who have just completed their studies and decides to attend a big party in the home of one rich kid. It has all types of kids from jocks to nerds, each with his own story

One of the main characters is Preston, who is this kind of artistic guy. He loves Amanda for like ever now, after which he finally decides to tell her at the party what he thinks about her. I thought Preston was so brave!

Then there’s William who has been bullied by Mike for a long time.

During the party, Willam comes up with this plan that could get back to Mike and it’s quite hilarious how he does it.

There is also Kenny who has ambitions of becoming a rapper. He finds himself locked up in a room with this girl named Denise where they have some hilarious dialogues. It’s gratifying to witness the two protagonists changing from enemies to friends.

I particularly enjoyed how the film depicted these various high school stereotypes before showing that everyone is more than what they are labeled as.

I mean, Preston appears as an artistic guy but he is also courageous. On the other hand, Denise seems like just any snarky girl but she’s really bright and even funny.

The parties were so much fun to me when watching them taking place. For a moment there, I felt like I was actually dancing and mingling with them.

And it had great music too! Consequently, it built up the movie’s atmosphere alongside other factors.

The film had some sweet moments too, like when Preston eventually tells Amanda about his feelings or William stands up to Mike. It is good to discover such moments in a comedy.

In general, “Can’t Hardly Wait” is a fun movie for a night out with your friends. There are good laughs, love stories and some very relatable characters.

If you want something light and entertaining to watch then I definitely suggest this movie.
