Dulces sueños en el "País de los Sueños"// Sweet dreams in "Dreamland" (es/en)

Aunque perezcan pequeñas fracciones de nuestras vidas, en las que deseamos tantas cosas, algunas lo bastante locas, los sueños a veces pueden suceder. Dicen que cuando se sueña lo suficiente termina cumpliéndose, o materializándose, aunque en realidad siempre viene acompañado con una gran cuota de sacrificio. La película escogida para esta ocasión, de la cual disfrute recientemente, trata precisamente de los sueños, pero no de ese tipo de sueños al que estamos acostumbrados, así que prepara el equipaje, que esta vez nos vamos de viaje al País de los Sueños.

Although they may perish small fractions of our lives, in which we wish for so many things, some of them crazy enough, dreams can sometimes happen. They say that when you dream enough, they end up coming true, or materializing, although in reality they always come with a great deal of sacrifice. The movie chosen for this occasion, which I enjoyed recently, is precisely about dreams, but not the kind of dreams we are used to, so get your luggage ready, this time we are going on a trip to the Dreamland.

De seguro vives en un lugar espectacular, o quizás añoras con vivir en uno tan especial como te lo puedas imaginar, puedes ser muy exigente en cuanto ha pedido, o ser lo bastante conforme como la pequeña de esta película. Nemo vivía muy feliz con su padre en este apartado lugar, nada más que en un Faro, hermoso paraje de costa bañado de brisa de mar, con oleaje contante y el sueño de un día ser como su papá. Todo parecía de ensueño para esta amiguita, hasta que un día su padre, el cuidador del Faro, en una de sus misiones al mar, se pierde quedando huérfana.

Surely you live in a spectacular place, or maybe you long to live in one as special as you can imagine, you can be very demanding in terms of requests, or you can be as compliant as the little girl in this movie. Nemo lived very happily with his father in this secluded place, nothing more than a lighthouse, a beautiful coastal spot bathed in sea breeze, with constant waves and the dream of one day being like his father. Everything seemed like a dream for this little friend, until one day her father, the keeper of the lighthouse, on one of his missions to the sea, gets lost and becomes an orphan.

Acompañada de su peluche "Puerco", se ve obligada a abandonar su hogar, quedando a custodia de su tío, raro personaje este, al que le puse: "el señor no toques nada". De un hogar tan extremo como apartado, fue llevada hasta la mismísima civilización de la ciudad, en casa de su nuevo tutor. Lugar este en el que comienza el derroche la fantasía, al encontrarse con cierto personaje algo extravagante.

Accompanied by her stuffed animal "Pig", she is forced to leave her home, and is left in the custody of her uncle, a strange character, to whom I put: "Mr. don't touch anything". From a home as extreme as remote, she was taken to the very civilization of the city, in the house of her new guardian. This is the place where fantasy begins to waste, when she meets a certain extravagant character.

En este filme reconoceremos a un actor que hemos conocido de otros trabajos de más acción, por su rudeza y talento de interpretación para este género en particular. Jason Momoa esta vez apuesta por trabajar para un público mucho más crítico, quien si no que los más pequeños de casa, con su personaje Flip, este es el extravagante del que les hablaba.

In this film we will recognize an actor that we have known from other works of more action, for his rudeness and acting talent for this particular genre. Jason Momoa this time bets to work for a much more critical audience, who else but the little ones at home, with his character Flip, this is the extravagant one I was talking about.

También nos encontraremos en la cinta a Kyle Chandler en el personaje de Peter, el papá de Nemo, quien aunque con una corta aparición en la película, logra agradar al espectador de buena manera. El largometraje, de 1 hora con 57 minutos, fue estrenado el 18 de noviembre del año 2022, en la plataforma de streaming Netflix. Dirigida por Francis Lawrence, a quien conocemos por trabajos llamativos como Los juegos del hambre, o series como *See que imagino hayas tenido la oportunidad de ver.

We will also find in the film Kyle Chandler in the character of Peter, Nemo's father, who although with a short appearance in the film, manages to please the viewer in a good way. The feature film, of 1 hour and 57 minutes, was released on November 18, 2022, on the Netflix streaming platform. Directed by Francis Lawrence, who we know for striking works such as The Hunger Games, or series like See that I imagine you have had the opportunity to see.

Su título original es Slumberland, una película lo bastante entretenida, apta para todas las edades, aunque no me confiaría mucho en esta parte por tratarse de Netflix. Si eres seguidor de la aventura, certera fantasía con una buena historia familiar detrás, pues serán los ingredientes necesarios para la degustación. Aunque la crítica no se comportara muy cariñosa con el filme, como este autor, en mi opinión no tan exigente, a la hora de escoger una película para entretener, El país de los sueños es esa película especial para confraternizar en un ambiente familiar.

Its original title is Slumberland, a fairly entertaining film, suitable for all ages, although I would not trust much in this part because it is Netflix. If you are a follower of adventure, accurate fantasy with a good family story behind it, then it will be the necessary ingredients for tasting. Even if the critics were not very fond of the film, as this author, in my opinion not so demanding, when it comes to choosing a film to entertain, Dreamland is that special film to fraternize in a family environment.

Tiene momentos bien equilibrados donde la risa, así como esa lágrima que llega en ese instante sentimental, que pudieran ser desconcertantes por esa marcada creatividad con la que se trabajó el filme. Aunque gran parte del éxito, por supuesto, reposa en los hombros de su elenco actoral. Nos enseña que nunca debemos dejar de ser soñadores, que ni la edad o la frustración, serán limitantes para desear que sucedan cosas buenas en nuestras vidas. It has well-balanced moments where laughter, as well as that tear that arrives in that sentimental moment, could be disconcerting due to the marked creativity with which the film was worked. Although much of the success, of course, rests on the shoulders of its cast. It teaches us that we should never stop being dreamers, that neither age nor frustration will limit us from wanting good things to happen in our lives.
