No soy un experto en el cine y mucho menos redactando reseñas. Mi punto siempre ha sido dar solo mi punto de vista y si es necesario invitarlos a que disfruten de la serie o película del que esté hablando. En este caso, hablaremos un poco de la serie de la gran N roja titulada ¨El Rastro¨ con esta serie tuvimos mi esposa y yo una gran anécdota y es que la habíamos empezado a ver hace meses pero justo al empezarla se nos canceló la suscripción lo que por supuesto no lo esperábamos pero si no se paga, simplemente se cancela ja ja ja.. Así es la vida.

I am not an expert in movies and much less in writing reviews. My point has always been to give only my point of view and if necessary invite you to enjoy the series or movie I'm talking about. In this case, we will talk a little about the series of the big red N titled ¨El Rastro¨ with this series my wife and I had a great anecdote and that is that we had started watching it months ago but just when we started it our subscription was canceled which of course we did not expect but if you do not pay, simply cancel it ha ha ha. That's life.

Pasamos un mes sin tener activa dicha suscripción y hace unos meses es que pudimos reactivarla y este pasado fin de semana de mera casualidad nos tropezamos con ¨El Rastro¨ Nos quedamos viéndonos las caras y nos respondimos mutuamente ¨Sí, esta es la serie que no terminamos de ver¨ Así que nos tomamos un tiempo para nosotros y decidimos empezarla a ver para refrescarnos un poco sobre la serie hasta encontrarnos por donde la dejamos en aquel primer intento. Fue ayer que pudimos terminar de verla y la verdad, es que me parezca una estupenda e intensa producción aun así, les puedo garantizar que no está nada mal.

We spent a month without having this subscription active and a few months ago we were able to reactivate it and this past weekend by mere chance we stumbled upon ¨El Rastro¨ We kept looking at each other's faces and we answered each other ¨Yes, this is the series we didn't finish watching¨ So we took some time for ourselves and decided to start watching it to refresh ourselves a little about the series until we found ourselves where we left off in that first attempt. It was yesterday that we were able to finish watching it and the truth is that I think it is a great and intense production, even so, I can guarantee you that it is not bad at all.

Como ya les he mencionado soy fanático de las series policiacas (suspenso) y sobre todo aún más cuando la historia es un hecho real. El Rastro nos relata una investigación de un doble asesinato que ocurrió en 2.004 en la localidad de Linköping y que conmovió al país en su momento. Me agradó como recrearon la historia sabiendo diferenciarse a series similares reflejándonos el reaccionar de las familias en duelo y el compromiso y la frustración de los investigadores por un largo periodo de 16 años. Una larga investigación que nunca llegó a nada hasta que utilizan la novedosa y curiosa técnica de la Genealogía genética. Algo que sinceramente no sabía que existía. De tantas series que he observado en los años de mi vida nunca la había escuchado. Es una técnica que realmente es interesante pues recrean todo un árbol genealógico con tan solo una perfecta muestra de ADN.

As I have already mentioned, I am a fan of crime series (suspense) and even more so when the story is a true story. El Rastro tells the story of an investigation of a double murder that occurred in 2004 in the town of Linköping and that shocked the country at the time. I liked how they recreated the story knowing how to differentiate themselves from similar series reflecting the reaction of the grieving families and the commitment and frustration of the investigators for a long period of 16 years. A long investigation that never came to anything until they used the novel and curious technique of Genetic Genealogy. Something I honestly did not know existed. Of so many series that I have observed in the years of my life I had never heard of it. It is a technique that is really interesting because they recreate a whole family tree with just a perfect ADN sample.

La serie sin duda nos adentra al duelo de las familias logrando entender el clima de tristeza y desolación que invade a los familiares, como un punto y aparte en sus vidas donde ya nunca volverán a ser las mismas. Las actuaciones no las considero extremadamente buenas, creo que cada uno de los presentes lograron resaltar sus papeles. Uno de esos personajes es el detective a cargo (Jonh) quien fue representado por el actor Peter Eggers, el detective se ve totalmente implicado emocionalmente con las historias de los familiares convirtiendo el caso en un tema muy personal ocasionándole grandes problemas en su propia vida personal. Tantos años de investigación están muy concentrados en apenas cuatro capítulos donde el final me resultó muy directo y rápido. Entonces mejor lo dejamos hasta aquí porque considero que se me va a salir algún spoiler ja ja ja…

The series undoubtedly takes us into the grief of the families, making us understand the climate of sadness and desolation that invades the families, as a point and apart in their lives where they will never be the same again. I don't consider the performances to be extremely good, I think that each of the characters in the film managed to highlight their roles. One of those characters is the detective in charge (John) who was portrayed by actor Peter Eggers, the detective is totally emotionally involved with the stories of the family members turning the case into a very personal issue causing him big problems in his own personal life. So many years of investigation are very concentrated in just four chapters where the end was very direct and fast for me. So we'd better leave it here because I think I'm going to get some spoilers ha ha ha...

No sé si muchos de ustedes la han visto, pero por si acaso, mi intención no es hacerle algún tipo de espóiler. Esta es solo mi humilde opinión. Los invito a que disfruten de esta otra gran serie en la gran cadena de la N roja.

I don't know if many of you have seen it, but just in case, my intention is not to give you some kind of spoiler. This is just my humble opinion. I invite you to enjoy this other great series on the big red N network.
