Me he encontrado con otra gran serie que sin duda alguna tiene que ofrecer. La elaboración de toda la producción es impecable y no cabe duda que esa pulcritud del director le dieron un toque muy especial y artístico desde sus locaciones, los planos, la música, la decisión de que sea en blanco y negro lo cual fue algo muy curioso, pero sin duda necesario para recrear perfectamente el ambiente de aquellos años 60. Las actuaciones y principalmente el guion son de gran altura. Se nota el cuidado de la producción hasta en los más mínimos detalles de las miradas, el arte mostrado en cada capítulo.

I have come across another great series that undoubtedly has to offer. The elaboration of the whole production is impeccable and there is no doubt that the neatness of the director gave it a very special and artistic touch from its locations, the shots, the music, the decision to be in black and white which was something very curious, but certainly necessary to perfectly recreate the atmosphere of those 60s. The performances and mainly the script are of great height. The care of the production is noticeable even in the smallest details of the looks, the art shown in each chapter.

Para algunos la serie podrá parecer algo lenta y eso debido a que alargan muchas escenas que pudieron ser reducidas fácilmente pero acá es donde juega la intriga, la angustia y el terror psicológico. La verdad es que la serie me dio una gran sorpresa y no me deja de impresionar cuando menciono que hoy en 2025 hayan producido una serie en blanco y negro pero hay que destacar que la idea de rodarla en blanco y negro le otorga a cada escena una estética que semeja a una obra de arte más de las tantas que se pueden ver durante la trama que nos lleva a visitar Atrani, Nápoles, San Remo y Roma.

For some the series may seem a little slow and that because they lengthen many scenes that could easily be reduced but this is where the intrigue, anguish and psychological terror play. The truth is that the series gave me a great surprise and I am still impressed when I mention that today in 2025 they have produced a series in black and white but it should be noted that the idea of shooting it in black and white gives each scene an aesthetic that resembles a work of art more of the many that can be seen during the plot that takes us to visit Atrani, Naples, San Remo and Rome.

La serie es una adaptación de la serie de novelas de Patricia Highsmith y por supuesto que para que este arte haya sido de la gran magnitud de arte tenía que estar el cerebro de Steven Zaillian quien lo podríamos recordar por Hannibal y ese merecido oscar que se llevó. "Ripley" ofrece una mirada fascinante a la vida de un personaje que constantemente desafía las convenciones sociales y legales necesarios para conservar la vida que tanto desea, Tom quien será nuestro personaje principal. Tom tendrá que tejer una red de mentiras en donde nosotros mismo nos veremos involucrados.

The series is an adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's series of novels and of course for this art to have been of the great magnitude of art there had to be the brains of Steven Zaillian who we might remember for Hannibal and that well deserved Oscar he took home. “Ripley” offers a fascinating look into the life of a character who constantly defies the social and legal conventions necessary to preserve the life he so desires, Tom who will be our main character. Tom will have to weave a web of lies in which we ourselves will become involved.

Tom Ripley es estafador que le llegó la oportunidad de su vida. El mismo solo se encargaba de estafar y robar cuentas pequeñas digamos para sobrevivir sin lujos pero eso cambiaria para Tom y encuentra en su oportunidad la manera de estar en la cima tal como él lo soñaba pero la mismo tiempo Tom estaría adentrándose en una vida mucho más complicada que a la que estaba acostumbrada, en la cual el engaño, las mentiras, los fraudes y los asesinatos están a la orden del día.

Tom Ripley is a con man who got the opportunity of a lifetime. He was only in charge of swindling and stealing small accounts to survive without luxuries but that would change for Tom and finds in his opportunity the way to be at the top as he dreamed but at the same time Tom would be getting into a much more complicated life than the one he was used to, in which deception, lies, fraud and murder are the order of the day.

Este curioso personaje es interpretado por Andrew Scott quien sinceramente me atrapó con su gran actuación. Hubo alguien quien me supo sorprender que aunque no aparezca mucho en escena cumple un gran papel importante en toda la historia. Hablo de Dakota Fanning quien definitivamente sigue demostrando su gran talento. La verdad es que todo el reparto de actores estuvo a la altura de las circunstancias. Al final, Ripley es arte puro.

This curious character is played by Andrew Scott who honestly caught me with his great performance. There was someone who surprised me and although she doesn't appear much in the scene, she plays an important role in the whole story. I'm talking about Dakota Fanning who definitely continues to demonstrate her great talent. The truth is that the entire cast of actors rose to the occasion. In the end, Ripley is pure art.

No sé si muchos de ustedes la han visto, pero por si acaso, mi intención no es hacerle algún tipo de espóiler. Esta es solo mi humilde opinión. Los invito a que disfruten de esta explosión de arte en la gran cadena de la N roja.
