No vamos a caer en la tentación de hablar de una biografía del actor, ni de sus éxitos en la saga de Star Wars; ni la archiconocida Indiana Jones con todas sus alusiones históricas que nos hacen creer, por ejemplo; mucho de la existencia del Arca de la Alianza que hoy día tiene mucho de misterio al igual que el cáliz de la última cena del cual durante muchos años no se sabe nada.
En un avión presidencial, Ford ofrece una talentosa y emotiva presentación, se siente la presencia del presidente de los Estados Unidos y la seguridad de un avión presidencial supone un mecanismo de protección sobre el cual ningún mortal tiene acceso ni información. Por razones de estado, no podemos saber nada para preservar la vida del presidente o jefe de estado.
Estas razones justificadas en sí mismas por los agentes protectores de una figura como el primer mandatario de cualquier país, llevan a Hollywood a recrear sus propias formas de protegerlo, sin menoscabo de hacer esas referencias verosímiles para entrar en historia con el personaje en cuestión.

Hasta el protagonismo de la mujer en un cargo de tan alto nivel, se vaticinaba acá y es donde el cine de alguna manera, a modo de premonición; predice y acierta con el paso del tiempo.
No queremos hacer spoilers pero la narrativa está llena de mucha aventura, peligro y suspenso. Dentro de los giros y el enfrentamiento tradicional de dos supuestos enemigos de la guerra fría, hay una lucha de sobrevivencia del personaje principal, no precisamente por quienes lo cuidan; sino, por él mismo. Y lo que si no es spoilers es que los estadounidenses, al final; siempre alcanzan la victoria.
Este largometraje, casi vintage por la época en la cual se produjo. Tiene buena trama, muchos diálogos acertados, tremendos efectos visuales y efectos sonoros muy acertados. Y en ese transcurso de presentación, nudo y desenlace, las transiciones son muy interesantes, por lo que le daríamos un 10 de 10. Nada tiene que envidiarle esta película a otra, incluso de esta época con todos y sus adelantos tecnológicos. No es una casualidad que costando más de ochenta millones de dólares haya recaudado más de trescientos millones de dólares… Esto es solo una apreciación personal, al final, quien la vea tendrá sus propias valoraciones.
