El Sueño de Valentín - Reseña [ESP-ENG]

Hablemos del cine Argentino, hablemos de la Película "El sueño de Valentín" una película basada en la Argentina de los años 60, pero que se remonta en la historia actual por su drama familiar y por ser una lamentable realidad de algunas familias.

Desde que inicia la película, con la narración del mismo Valentín que es el actor Rodrigo Noya, quien representa a un niño de 8 años, que cuenta su historia. El pequeño vive una vida dura, rodeada de adultos que tienen ya de por sí bastantes problemas, donde la falta de afecto y la figura de sus padres le ha afectado mucho, ya que el vive solo con su abuela, una señora que se queja por todo y bueno, en fin, está vieja, como diría Valentín (puedo recordar su voz tierna con acento argentino mientras escribo).

Para la edad que Valentín tiene, es muy maduro, me gustan cosas que dice al inicio de la película cuando está en la escuela, "hay gente que vive solo por vivir" y que no hace nada más, sin duda nos deja reflexionando. En medio del drama, el sueño del niño que quiere ser astronauta y el deseo incansable de volver ver a su madre o tan solo recibir afecto por parte de su padre, quien se muestra frío y bastante ausente, Valentín muestra una gran madurez para su edad.

Let's talk about Argentinean cinema, let's talk about the film "Valentin's dream", a film based in Argentina in the 60's, but that goes back in the present history because of its family drama and because it is a lamentable reality of some families.

From the beginning of the film, with the narration of Valentin himself, who is the actor Rodrigo Noya, who represents an 8 year old boy, who tells his story. The little boy lives a hard life, surrounded by adults who already have enough problems, where the lack of affection and the figure of his parents has affected him a lot, as he lives alone with his grandmother, a lady who complains about everything and well, she is old, as Valentín would say (I can remember his tender voice with an Argentinean accent as I write).

For Valentin age, he is very mature, I like the things he says at the beginning of the film when he is at school, "there are people who live just for the sake of living" and who don't do anything else, he certainly leaves us reflecting. In the midst of the drama, the dream of the boy who wants to be an astronaut and the tireless desire to see his mother again or just to receive affection from his father, who is cold and rather absent, Valentin shows great maturity for his age.

Está película deja un nudo grueso en la garganta, cuando ves más allá de lo que se dice y se muestra, cuando aprendes a leer entre líneas y te enseña que todo empieza desde la raíz y que como adultos a veces solemos ser muy, pero muy egoístas, porque olvidamos que una vez también fuimos niños, también tuvimos sueños, necesidades, vimos más soluciones que problemas, pero al crecer cambiamos y olvidamos que lo que hacemos y cómo actuamos también puede afectar a nuestros hijos y por ende su futuro.

Valentín nos enseñará que no está mal cambiar de sueños, "más aún si son peligroso" y que en medio de una vida dura, cualquiera puede contar su propia historia con chistes a través de la inocencia misma que embargan los fragmentos donde tan solo no entendimos el por qué de lo que nos pasaba. Valentín consigue a dos personas que pueden cumplir ese sueño, una familia, pero ahora le tocará luchar para lograrlo.

This film leaves a thick lump in your throat, when you see beyond what is said and shown, when you learn to read between the lines and it teaches you that everything starts from the root and that as adults sometimes we tend to be very, very selfish, because we forget that once we were also children, we also had dreams, needs, we saw more solutions than problems, but as we grow up we change and forget that what we do and how we act can also affect our children and therefore their future.

Valentin will teach us that it is not wrong to change our dreams, "even more so if they are dangerous" and that in the midst of a hard life, anyone can tell their own story with jokes through the innocence of the fragments where we just didn't understand why what was happening to us was happening. Valentín gets two people who can fulfil that dream, a family, but now he will have to fight to achieve it.
