Did I say realistic?
Well, yes, to a certain extent; and since we have just gone through the Covid-19 pandemic, in this film we can see reflected many of the situations we have already lived through, many mistakes that led to the death of many people...
But in this film you laugh like crazy, it is true; but it is also scary to think, if in addition to Covid-19, another more complicated situation like the one they present could happen.
It is about the discovery of an asteroid, of a comet coming straight towards the Earth, with a 99.98% certainty that it will hit our home.
And we are not going to say, as the politicians in the movie say: "Well, it is not 100%, there is a percentage that it will not happen..."!
The truth is that we see how difficult it is to communicate such an important and shocking fact in the modern world.
This film travels thousands of roads without achieving that modern man, with the technology of communications and social networks, as well as with the non-print media of the world, can give an apocalyptic news.
The president of the United States herself - a very personal portrayal by actress Meryl Streep of Donald Trump - in the film said, upon hearing the news, that, let's calm down and assess the situation. We don't have time to work on that. Or, it's not 100% certainty that a comet is coming to destroy us, it's only 98.89%.... In politics we don't talk with so much certainty, let's put the event at 70, yes, only 70% that it will hit, that doesn't scare and leaves us time to think about what we will do...
Watching this, we have feelings of dread; and I think the movie has great moments for all of us to reflect, inwardly, on who we elect as our politicians, directors or rulers.
But equally, on how we are taking things on earth about the environment and morality.
The fact that scientists go through so many humiliating difficulties in order to express to the leaders of the planet that action must be taken immediately to avoid the destruction of the Earth, and how they are taken for crazy alarmists, makes us wonder:
How many mistakes did we make during the Covid-19 pandemic, under the same circumstances, to have had such a mortality outcome as we have today?
Is this fiction film really fiction?
We live in a point that floats in space and from there we can inexorably receive the frontal visit of a comet -it has already happened before, as it happened with the extinction of the dinosaurs-.
Are we united enough on Earth to face such a difficult event without putting personal, political, philosophical and religious interests first, even though it could mean a mistake or the end in reality?
I feel that this film crushes at times the ability we have to think, because there are jokes that make us laugh and be ashamed, at the same time, to be laughing.
More, in spite of everything, my close friends, colleagues and cousins, who write, like me, on platforms and blogs; we have come to the conclusion that such an intelligent comedy must be seen, and that you will never be happy if you don't see this movie; because you have to be sensitized to the irony of living in a time like this .
And we would add, that we believe that, if you don't like it -as it happened to many, many people- or you don't understand it, which is foolish; start studying more and work on becoming strongly assertive and resilient.
This is my introduction to the @cinetv or C/CineTV community and represents what I believe and appreciate about the film in question; it does not contain scientific concepts nor do I intend to affect, in any way, anyone's religious or political interests.
I know that starting to write in a community can be quite difficult, because there are many people who do not know you and do not read you, which can be a risky way to create your space.
But this #Hive community has caught my attention, because I have seen publications about movies, criticized from the inside and from the tools that each one has, without pretensions of looking like film or art critics.
This tribe and community for blogging and chatting about film and television, as described, seems to be a community where you will find human and unpretentious reviews to understand films as they are.
I wish you all the best of luck, and I would love to keep posting here, hoping to interact a lot with the users who are already an inescapable part of it.

¿Dije realista?
Pues, bueno, sí, hasta cierto punto; y ya que acabamos de pasar la pandemia por el Covid-19, en esta obra cinematográfica podemos ver reflejadas muchas de las situaciones que ya vivimos, muchos desaciertos que llevaron a la muerte a mucha gente…
Pero en esta película te ríes como loco, es cierto; pero también da miedo pensar, si además del Covid-19, pudiera sobrevenir otra situación más complicada como la que plantean.
Se trata del descubrimiento de un asteroide, de un cometa que viene directo hacia la Tierra, con un porcentaje de certeza de que choque contra nuestro hogar del 99.98%.
Y no vamos a decir, como dicen los políticos de la película: ¡“Bueno, no es el 100%, hay un porcentaje de que no pase…”!
Lo cierto es que vemos la dificultad de comunicar que hay en el mundo moderno, un hecho tan importante e impactante.
Esta película recorre miles de caminos sin lograr que el hombre moderno, con la tecnología de las comunicaciones y las redes sociales, así como con los medios de comunicación no impresos del mundo, pueda dar una noticia apocalíptica.
La misma presidenta de los Estados Unidos -Una representación muy personal hecha por la actriz Meryl Streep sobre Donald Trump- en la película decía, al conocer la noticia, que, vamos a calmarnos y a evaluar la situación. No tenemos tiempo para trabajar en eso. O, es que tampoco es un 100% de certeza de que venga un cometa a destruirnos, es solo el 98,89%... En política no hablamos con tanta certeza, pongámosle al evento un 70, sí, solo 70% de que choque, eso no asusta y nos deja tiempo para pensar qué haremos…
Viendo esto, tenemos sensaciones de terror; y yo pienso que la película tiene momentos geniales para que todos podamos reflexionar, interiormente, sobre quiénes elegimos como nuestros políticos, directores o gobernantes.
Pero igual, en cómo estamos tomando las cosas en la tierra sobre el medio ambiente y la moralidad.
El hecho de que unos científicos pasen en forma tan humillante, por tantas dificultades para poder expresarle a los líderes del planeta que hay que tomar acciones inmediatamente para evitar la destrucción de la Tierra, y de cómo son tomados por locos alarmistas; hace que nos preguntemos:
¿Cuántos errores cometimos durante la pandemia del Covid-19, en iguales circunstancias, para haber tenido un resultado de mortalidad como el que tenemos hoy en día?
¿Es esta película de ficción realmente de ficción?
Vivimos en un punto que flota en el espacio y desde allí podemos recibir, inexorablemente, la visita frontal de un cometa -ya ha sucedido antes, como pasó con la extinción de los dinosaurios-.
¿Estamos lo suficientemente unidos en la Tierra, como para hacerle frente a un evento tan difícil, sin anteponer los intereses personales, políticos, filosóficos y religiosos; a pesar de que pueda significar un error o el fin en realidad?
Siento que esta película aplasta por momentos la capacidad que tenemos de pensar, pues, hay chistes que nos hacen reír y avergonzarnos, al mismo tiempo, de estarnos riendo.
Más, a pesar de todo, mis amigos cercanos, colegas y primos, que escriben, al igual que yo, en plataformas y blogs; hemos llegado a la conclusión de que una comedia tan inteligente debe verse, y que nunca serás feliz si no ves esta película; porque hay que sensibilizarse ante la ironía de vivir en una época como esta .
Y agregaríamos, que creemos que, si no te gusta -como le ocurrió a muchísima gente- o no la entiendes, lo cual es insensato; comienza a estudiar más y trabaja por volverte fuertemente asertivo y resiliente.
Esta es mi introducción a la comunidad de @cinetv o C/CineTV y representa lo que creo y aprecio de la película referida; no contiene conceptos científicos ni pretendo afectar, de alguna manera, intereses religiosos ni políticos en nadie.
Sé, que comenzar a escribir en una comunidad puede ser bastante difícil, pues hay mucha gente que no te conoce y no te lee, lo que puede ser un camino, un poquito arriesgado para ir creando tu espacio.
Pero me ha llamado mucho la atención, esta comunidad de #Hive, porque he visto publicaciones sobre películas, criticadas desde la interioridad y desde las herramientas que cada uno tiene, sin pretensiones de parecer críticos de cine o de arte.
Esta tribu y comunidad para bloguear y charlar sobre cine y televisión, como se describe, parece ser una comunidad en la que encontrarás reseñas humanas y sin pretensiones para entender las películas tal y como son.
Les deseo mucha suerte, y me encantaría seguir publicando por acá, esperando interaccionar mucho con los usuarios que ya forman parte ineludible de ella.

That's so true I have seen the movie and i was quite scared about the future of life on earth, at the end I think it happened cause there was a space ship that took some of them to a new planet... Lol
In the end, even though they arrived to a habitable planet, it shows idiocy and selfishness in all its splendor... No, there will be no race that will survive if the individual is superimposed on the collective.

Aún no he visto esta pelicula, pero me siento muy intrigada por tu reseña y apreciación de la misma, últimamente nos hemos topado con situaciones que como humanidad no estamos preparados, como lo que vivimos con el Covid-19, imaginate una colisión con un asteroide, lamentablemente dependemos de lo que nuestros gobernantes decidan informarnos y las medidas que tomen,esperando que sean las mejores por el bien del mundo, de nuestra parte lo que nos queda es escoger mejor nuestros lideres, saludos y bienvenido a la comunidad.

Interesante propuesta la que nos traes. Temas que dejan mucho que pensar pq la trama pude que sea solo un 70% de probable pero en analogía con la realidad del mundo hoy y como se manejan los sectores de poder....Ummm, mejor me retiro silenciosamente 🙊🙉🙈
