Gato con botas: El último deseo [2022] | Review, spoiler alert⚠️

A few days ago I had the opportunity to take a break and watch a movie, among so many that there were, I realized that I had not seen the latest Puss in Boots movie. I have always liked children's movies and Shreck is no exception.

Hace unos días tuve la oportunidad de tomarme un descanso y ver una película, entre tantas que había, me percaté de que no había visto la última película del gato con botas. Siempre me han gustado las películas infantiles y Shreck no es la excepción.

The film begins as always with its main character on an adventure, “laughing at death” as he himself quotes, remember that Puss in Boots is a nomadic, adventurous and somewhat crazy character with an air of greatness, who is not afraid of anything. for his 9 lives. Until an event makes him realize that he only has 1 of his 9 lives left and death stalks him.
We can see this in life outside the screens, people who do not settle down until they age or in this case a doctor tells you enough is enough or you will die!

La película empieza como siempre con su personaje principal en una aventura, “riéndose de la muerte” como el mismo cita, recordemos que el gato con botas es un personaje nómada, aventurero y algo alocado con aires de grandeza, que no le teme a nada por sus 9 vidas. Hasta que un acontecer lo hace darse cuenta de que solo le queda 1 de sus 9 vidas y la muerte le asecha.
¡Esto lo podemos ver en la vida fuera de las pantallas, personas que no sientan cabeza hasta que la edad o en este caso un médico te dice ya basta o morirás!

En aquél asilo, tiene que convivir como otro gato común y corriente, comiendo alimento para gatos, durmiendo todo el día, yo lo resumiría en actividades para adultos mayores, sin acción ni diversión, lo veo como la etapa de la depresión en ese duelo interno que lleva consigo, hasta que conoce a "perrito", que lo hace salir de su profunda depresión y le pregunta -¡cual es tu historia? y empieza a recordar quien era.

Hasta que Ricitos de Oro, irrumpe en aquél pensar para buscar a la Leyenda "El gato con botas", en todo el caos ocasionado no lo reconocen y se van, hasta que escucha que entre los osos y ella dicen "La Leyenda murió" y hablan de un mapa que conlleva a una estrella que cumple cualquier deseo, y eso despierta su interés y decide ir en busca de dicho mapa para recuperar sus 9 vidas.

When he ventures in search of that map that would take him his long-awaited wish, the dog accompanies him, and on the way he runs into his former lover "Kitty, soft paws", who is also looking for the wish star in Jack's trophy room. Horner. They all meet and decide to escape with the map, the three of them, together on an adventure into the dark forest.

Al aventurarse en búsqueda de aquél mapa que lo llevaría su tan anhelado deseo, perrito lo acompaña, y en el camino se topa con su antigua amada "Kitty, patitas suaves", quién tambien busca la estrella del deseo en la sala de trofeos de Jack Horner. Todos se encuentran y deciden escapar con el mapa, los tres, juntos en una aventura hacia el bosque oscuro.

Upon entering the dark forest, each one touches the map and the forest transforms according to the desires of the heart of each one of them and what they need to go through to reach their desire. The easiest path is for Perrito, who had a tragic story of abandonment and mistreatment, but who clearly shows us that overcoming the past and living in the now without expecting or wishing for anything is the easiest way to be happy, as well as taking life's disappointments as lessons to move forward and find the joke in our misfortunes.

Al entrar al bosque oscuro, cada uno toca el mapa y el bosque se transforma de acuerdo a los deseos del corazón de cada uno de ellos y lo que necesitan atravesar para alcanzar su deseo. El camino más fácil lo tiene perrito, quién tuvo una trágica historia de abandono y maltrato, pero que claramente nos muestra que superar el pasado y vivir en el ahora sin esperar o desear nada es la forma más fácil de ser feliz, así como también tomar las decepciones de la vida como enseñanzas para avanzar y encontrarle el chiste a nuestras desgracias.

Throughout the search, the 3 bears also enter the forest along with Curly and Jack. At one point in the movie they all get separated and Puss in Boots looks at his 8 past lives, falls into mourning for fear of dying, and flees with the map when he sees death determined to take him with him.

A lo largo de la búsqueda, al bosque también ingresan los 3 osos junto a Ricitos y Jack. En un momento de la pelicula todos se separan y Gato con Botas mira sus 8 vidas pasadas, recae en el duelo por el miedo a morir, y huye con el mapa al ver a la muerte decidida a llevarselo consigo.

Something that I find interesting to highlight is the moment when Curly has the map in her hands, the map tells her that her wish is right in front of her eyes, and she looks at her hut, the bear house. Her wish was to have a real family because she is not a bear. This speaks of how many times we don't realize that we have everything we need right in front of our eyes but with another appearance and we don't value it until we are aware of it.

Algo que me parece interesante de resaltar es el momento en el que Ricitos tiene el mapa en sus manos, el mapa le indica que su deseo lo tiene frente a sus ojos, y ella mira su choza, la casa de los osos. Su deseo era tener una familia real porque ella no es un oso. Esto habla de las muchas veces que no nos damos cuenta que tenemos todo lo que necesitamos frente a nuestros ojos pero con otra apariencia y no lo valoramos hasta que somos conciente de ello.

Another point to touch on is the incognita of goodness, when the cricket tries to look deep inside Jack for some goodness and only realizes that he seeks control of all the magic. We must be aware that as much as our heart wants to see goodness in the world there is good and evil, and there are completely evil people.

Otro punto a tocar es la incognita de la bondad, cuando el grillo trata de buscar en lo más interno de Jack algo de bondad y solo se da cuenta que el busca el control de toda la magía. Debemos ser conciente que por más que nuestro corazón quiera ver bondad en el mundo existe el bien y el mal, y hay personas completamente malvadas.

Returning to the final part of the film, between the fight for the map, Puss in Boots faces death head on, and gives up his desire to regain their lives, the past is gone and now he will only fight for his last life and the one he wishes to live to the end, a life with Kitty and Perrito.

Volviendo a la parte final de la película, entre la lucha por el mapa, el gato con botas enfrenta a la muerte de frente, y desiste de su deseo de recuperar sus vidas, el pasado ya pasó y ahora solo luchará por su última vida y la que desea vivir hasta el final, una vida con Kitty y Perrito.

The film ends with the 3 of them on a stolen boat, in search of new adventures as a team, a team that is named, no longer the lonely "Puss in Boots", he found his peace and his sense of life next to people he loves and learned to love in hardship. It ends with a sentence that leaves much to be desired and hoped for, -"Let's go visit some old friends!

♥️Esta película desde mi punto de vista es una joya, tiene muchos mensajes, enseñanzas, moralejas además de que me sorprendió la animación al estilo japonés, algo que no se veía en las antiguas películas de Dreamworks, pero que calzó de maravilla.
