Due to multiple engagement I have not been able to see as much movie as I use to, but that notwithstanding, I am still a lover of movies. Over the years, I have never payed much attention on movie settings, all I look out for is a movie with captivating actions and good storyline. Thinking of it now, I think I would prefer the village style of movie over the city style.

I definitely cannot recall every movie I have ever come across, but coming to think of it now, I probably might have seen movies with village setting the more. For some reasons, movies that interest me the most are movies with village setting, and it's quite shocking that I am just getting to know about it.

When it comes to movies, I can be very selective. Funny enough, the fact that my selective nature [when it comes to movies] have led me to fancy movies with village setting the more is crossing my mind for the first time. Right from my early days, I considered movies like [the popular] Melin and Legend of the Seeker my favourite. Growing up, I have come to love the likes of Vikings, See, Witcher, the popular Game of thrones and so many others. As a matter of fact, I am currently waiting for the release of the famous House of Dragons season two.

I certainly have seen so many city style kind of movie, as a matter of fact, I cannot really say that I consider the setting of movies before seeing them. Over the years, I have seen movies like Suite, Last Ship, Black list, The Originals and so many others. In truth these movies are hyper interesting, but for some reasons, they are never my favourites. There are definitely so many movies with village setting out there that will not interest me [due to what I look out for in a movie], but as for the ones I have seen, I prefer most of the movies with village setting over the ones with city setting.

The most captivating thing about movies with village setting is the fact that they tell stories that are not contemporary, the fact that they are mythical in nature. Naturally I am a bit inquisitive, and that explains why I prefer what I prefer [when it comes to movie]. I want to imagine things that could have been in the past, I want to hear stories of ancient peoples and cities, I want to hear stories of creature that might have been; In short, I simply love it when a movie tells an ancient story.

Another thing that interests me so much about movies with village setting is the costume. The fact that these movies are produced with costumes that are not part of our everyday wears interest me alot. When it comes to ancient movies, different ancient history and times come to play even in there costume. As a matter of fact, we get to see what a people wear at a particular point in time. For somebody like me who pay very close attention to every detail of a movie while watching, even the costume is very important. Having said all of these, I would love to end my speech the old secondary school debate way; I believe that I have been able to convince you with these few points of mine that village movies are better than City movies, thank you 😂😜!

This is one of the most interesting topic that I have encountered here on @hivenaija. Having said that, I appreciate @hivenaija in a very special way for bringing this to us this week. Thank you guys for reading through, I sincerely appreciate.

The peculiarity of culture, tradition, good, and attires or custumes in village settings indeed provide one with sensational experiences that sometimes endear itself to many than with city films—as long as they are of great quality and effort.. It reminds me of a series I was ravished by, See.

Thank you for participating!
