Una noche de horror en el cine que no terminó bien 😭😖// A night of horror at the Cinema that didn't end well 😭😖 [ES/EN]

Buenas noches, como les va en el día de hoy? Espero que estén muy bien.
Hoy les quiero contar sobre una noche terrorífica que pasé hace ya un tiempo.

Good evening, how are you all doing today? I hope you're all doing very well. Today I want to tell you about a terrifying night I experienced some time ago.

Todo comenzó porque mi novia y yo somos fanáticas de las películas de terror. Siempre preferimos las que tratan sobre fantasmas, entidades demoníacas, misterios, desapariciones, asesinatos, cultos .. las de ese estilo. Para nosotras, son las mejores. Por lo que ese día, nos enteramos a través de las redes sociales que en el cine que se encuentra cerca de nuestra casa, iban a hacer un festival de películas de terror. Así que ambas al mismo tiempo luego de leer eso, dijimos TENEMOS QUE IR.
Al llegar, vimos que estaba decorado con figuras fantasmagóricas por todos lados y fue algo que nos encantó porque no lo esperábamos para nada. Además, de que no es algo que hayan hecho en otros cines así que tener esta ambientación estuvo muy bueno y mejoró la experiencia.

It all started because my girlfriend and I are big fans of horror movies. We always prefer those that deal with ghosts, demonic entities, mysteries, disappearances, murders, cults... those kinds of things. For us, they're the best. So, that day, we found out through social media that the cinema near our house was going to have a horror movie festival. So, both of us at the same time after reading that, said WE HAVE TO GO.
Upon arrival, we saw that it was decorated with ghostly figures everywhere, which was something we loved because we didn't expect it at all. Also, it's not something that other cinemas have done, so having this setup was really cool and improved the experience.

No estábamos muy seguras sobre qué película ver porque la verdad es que había una oferta muy buena. Eran en total unas 8 películas en cartelera, algunas ya habían sido estrenadas tiempo atrás pero por motivos de este festival, las volvieron a lanzar para aquellos que no llegaron a verla en estreno en la pantalla grande.
Así que terminamos eligiendo ver "Cuando acecha la maldad". Esta película a decir verdad no me pareció tan de terror porque no tiene que ver con mis gustos, los que describí anteriormente.
Está ambientada en una familia que vive en el campo, en Argentina, y se sabe que allí rondan las leyendas urbanas en donde se cuenta que en el campo a la noche se ven distintos monstruos y que si vos los mirás o tenés contacto con ellos, te pueden hacer daño. Bueno, esta película transcurre bajo ese contexto. No quiero hacer spoiler porque la realidad es que está buena y entretiene, pero les aclaro esto porque si buscan ver demonios y espectros, no lo van a conseguir. Aún así, reitero, está muy buena y tiene escenas super gráficas que te dejarán en shock pero también lindas imágenes respecto del paisaje.

We weren't very sure about which movie to watch because there was actually a very good selection. There were a total of about 8 movies on the bill, some of which had been released some time ago but were re-released for this festival for those who didn't get to see them on the big screen when they first came out.
So, we ended up choosing to watch "Cuando acecha la maldad". To be honest, this movie didn't seem so much like a horror to me because it doesn't align with my tastes, as I described earlier. It's set in a family living in the countryside in Argentina, and it's known that there are urban legends there where it's said that in the countryside at night, different monsters can be seen, and if you look at them or have contact with them, they can harm you. Well, this movie unfolds under that context.
I don't want to give spoilers because it's actually good and entertaining, but I clarify this because if you're looking to see demons and specters, you won't find them here. Still, I reiterate, it's very good and has some very graphic scenes that will leave you in shock, but also beautiful images of the argentinian landscape.

Al salir, quedamos tan emocionadas por la película que habíamos visto, que no queríamos volver a casa porque queríamos seguir mirando películas. Habíamos ido alrededor de las ocho de la noche al cine y cuando salimos, eran casi las diez. Teníamos tiempo de ver una película más hasta que el cine cerrara. Así que sin saber de qué trataba, elegimos la película Evil dead Rise, solo porque vimos la portada y creímos que iba a tener estos elementos terroríficos que describí al principio del post.
Fue tal cual lo pensamos, les cuento brevemente que trata sobre
dos hermanas que estuvieron mucho tiempo distanciadas y una de ellas, Beth, vuelve junto a la otra, Ellie, tras enterarse de que estaba embarazada. En un proceso de restablecer su relación, surge un terremoto en donde los hijos de Ellie terminan en un lugar que parecía ser una bóveda de un banco y allí encuentran un libro que después notarían que estaba endemoniado ya que pertenecía a un culto. A partir de ahí comienzan a pasar muchas cosas espeluznantes, que vale la pena mirar.

Upon leaving, we were so thrilled by the movie we had just seen that we didn't want to go straight home because we wanted to keep watching movies. We had gone to the cinema around eight in the evening, and when we left, it was almost ten. We had time to watch one more movie before the cinema closed. So, without knowing what it was about, we chose the movie "Evil Dead Rise," just because we saw the cover and thought it would have those terrifying elements I described at the beginning of the post.

Al salir de esta última película, mi novia quedó tan pertubada que tuvimos que dormir con las luces prendidas 🤣

After watching this last movie, my girlfriend was so disturbed that we had to sleep with the lights on 🤣
