Qui-Gon Jinn’s Role in the Jedi Order’s Downfall
The Jedi Order was almost universally opposed to the idea of allowing Anakin in, and if Qui Gon had not died, they probably would not have felt obligated to fulfill his wishes. I agree that Anakin leaving his mother was wrong, any analysis of prequel Anakin shows IMMENSE attachment issues and trauma rooted in abandonment which is a very relatable, common thing in our world, but is rarely taken to the extreme of what Anakin had to go through
But I also think it's a total contrivance on George's part to not just have Obi Wan and Anakin go to Tatooine, free her, neutralize the Tusken Raider threat and resolve the issue while Anakin was still a teenager and a padawan
People blaming Obi Wan's actions as being insufficient to "help" Anakin, but he was a teenager put in charge of a child he absolutely did not want and the one man he loved and trusted in his life ordered him to train Anakin
I think it's strange how all of this gets chalked up as "The Jedi are Wrong" and mavericks like Qui Gon could've fixed the Order, when it was literally Qui Gon's obsession with prophecy that ruined the lives of Anakin, Obi Wan, eventually Padme and then destroyed the Order
The Order was right the entire time, and a more dogmatic enforcement of its judgments would have prevented the misery Qui Gon was absolutely responsible for.
George and Dave can show anything they want, but if it isn't believable or in character, then its just gonna seem contrived

I don't blame the politicians themselves, politicians are politicians and I'm sure allying with Palpatine was great political expedience for many
but at some point people needed to recognize that their society was being hollowed out, corrupted and twisted in a way it had never been in its history
by a man who they had not elected. Whether the Jedi are a formal or informal check for potential dictators in the Senate is never really mentioned
but either way, that's on the body politic. Anakin is more the Jedi's responsibility though the consequences of Anakin were laid directly on the Jedi the consequences of Palpatine were laid on the Jedi too even if it wasn't their role to prevent him.
