IT: Chapter Two (2019) - Was It a Fittingly Frightful Conclusion

Good morning, amazing people, it's a beautiful week, and I would like to give a review on the movie I watched during the weekend, but before I do, I would like you all to know I watched a lot of movies, and most of them were recommendations from the Cinetv community. The first was "Love in every word," and the review was written by @jhymi, while the other was "The Electric state," but I forgot who wrote it.

I love these two films because exactly what I read about was what I saw in the films. It was an amazing watch, and this is why people need to be truthful in their reviews, so they don't end up watching a movie that would make them sad.

During the weekend, I watched the part two of a film I saw in 2017, and the title is "IT"

You see, IT: Chapter Two is a masterclass in horror storytelling, it was a continuation to the 2017 original that will leave you screaming, laughing, and maybe even crying. The reason why I love the first part is because I was a lover of horror movies but the chapter two of the film didn't do justice to what the first part did. Probably because I was much younger then and now I am older.

Storyline.

The story picks up 27 years after the events of the first film, with the Losers' Club now grown up and scattered across the country. However, when a series of gruesome and supernatural events start occurring in Derry, Maine, the gang is forced to reunite and face their childhood fears once again.

I love that they have all grown, and there are things they have seen while they were younger that shouldn't freak them out it did in the second part. To me, it felt like it followed more of a comedy sequence than the horror sequence it did in the first part.

But what truly sets IT: Chapter Two apart is its expertly balanced tone. The film makes it easy to shift from heart-pumping horror scenes to laugh-out-loud and humorous scenes. Many people who watched the first part know how scary it was, and that is probably why the producers had to use another approach for the second part, making it scary yet funny. I had a good laugh while I was watching it. It's a film that the family should watch together because I believe it is a great way to bond when the family has a shared fear and laughs.

Of course, no IT film would be complete without its fair share of jump scares and creepy visuals. I love the use of their music, CGI, graphics, sound effects, and the town setting. It made the film look more original than the first part, and this is something viewers love, when the second part follows the same pattern as the first, not doing something totally different from the original, like a recent film adaptation, which I will be talking about some other time.

If I have any criticisms, it's that the film's pacing can be a bit uneven at times, and some of the supporting characters feel slightly underdeveloped. However, these are minor issues in what is otherwise a masterful horror film.

If I were rating the film, I would give it a 7.5/10, trust me, that is what it deserves. If you enjoyed the first IT film or are a fan of horror movies like The Shining or The Conjuring, IT: Chapter Two is a must-see. Just be prepared for some intense scares and a few laughs along the way!

Thanks for reading. My name is Fashtioluwa.

It's been a while a saw me a horror film. It's like they are no longer as scary; I mean giving you scare jumps, as they used to be. But the plot of this one seems fascinating so I might just check it out.

Well, our heart has been so strong that we don't get scared easily anymore.
But there are still some scary-ass movies out there. Also, the mood and time you watch it matters too..hehehehe

Sadly, I'm not a fan of horror films, and I won't be seeing this one either, lol. But I'm glad you got to see the film I talked about. Should I be expecting a review?

You should try it or other horror movies I can recommend for you if you want.

For the review, you did justice to it. I just felt there is no need to write another. Let's talk about movies that no one has written a review on or written a bad review on.
Yours was amazing.

I don't know if it's just me or if horror movies have lost their touch. Gone are the days when I watch horror movies and have trouble sleeping but it's no more like that

Heehe
Yeah
Everything has been watered down and most producer don’t want their film to be ban
