Hello cinematographic lover, it's another beautiful day to talk about movies. It is noticeable and amazing how new movies are released monthly and those movies are the talk of the town that we forget some movies that are also the talk of the town. I present you

"The Scorpion King" is a movie released in 2002, it is an electrifying action-adventure film that will leave you breathless and yearning for more. Directed by Chuck Russell, this prequel to "The Mummy Returns" The Scorpion King is a very popular movie from 2002 till 2003, if you were born in the 90s and you haven't watched this movie, I think you should do it on time.

The storyline (spoiler alert)

The film is set in ancient Egypt, where a powerful and ruthless warlord named Memnon lives and has enslaved many of the tribes in the area. Then there came the starboy of the movie, Mathayus (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson), a young Akkadian warrior who is hired by the king of a rival tribe to assassinate Memnon. One thing about the scorpion king is that it has the potential to keep you on your feet.

After sneaking into Memnon's camp, it was then Mathayus discovered Memnon was using a powerful witch to find out his enemy's movement to ensure he always wins his battle. Mathayus forms an alliance with Cassandra, who begins to question her loyalty to Memnon. You know how this thing goes "The Mc falls in love with someone from the villain side and then betrays her master or has a change of heart, yeah that stuff. Together, they hatch a plan to bring down the ruthless warlord and free the enslaved tribes.

Then Mathayus fought his way to Memnon's hideout to defeat him to become the prophesied scorpion king.

My Review

The movie is an action-packed movie, adventurous movie. It was one of my favorite movies that has fantasy and slice of life in it. The film's production design is a feast for the eyes, transporting viewers to a richly detailed ancient world of pyramids, temples, and bustling marketplaces. The special effects are impressive, with good use of CGI and effects that bring the film's epic battles and action sequences to life.

It is a clever and engaging tale of revenge, redemption, and the rise of a legendary hero. "The Scorpion King" is a thrill ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Like I said, if you are born in the 90s and you haven't watched it, you should do so on time.

Will I recommend this movie to anyone outside of the 90s? My answer is YES. This is the early year of one of our favorite actor "The Rock" on set. You get to see him at the early prime of his acting career.

In conclusion.

I am rating this movie 8.5/10 depending on the year the movie was released. It's one very good movie where you see the act of renowned actors now.

Thanks for reading.
