My Roommate is a Cat

Este anime está conformado por pequeñas historias de la vida cotidiana en las que Subaru y Haru luchan y aprenden a vivir juntos. Subaru es un escritor bastante tímido y se le dificultan las relaciones sociales. Subaru en su día a día da por sentadas todas las pequeñas cosas que ha hecho pero, a lo largo de la serie, un gato en su vida lo obliga a reevaluar todas esas cosas. De hecho, en este anime hay mucho arrepentimiento, y el desarrollo como persona de Subaru es bastante bueno. Al principio, su comprensión sobre sí mismo era muy pobre, pero hacia el final comienza a comprender quién es. Tal vez sea un poco insoportable al principio pero para mí el viaje de Subaru de principio a fin es extremadamente conmovedor.

No solo Subaru me parece un buen personaje, también tenemos al otro protagonista: Haru, el gato que acompaña a Subaru en todas las aventuras vividas y que ocupa gran parte del de lo que se narra en el anime; Aproximadamente la mitad de cada episodio estaremos en la cabeza de Haru, en su pensamientos pero una de las cosas que más me gusta de este anime es que lo que ve Subaru y lo que ve Haru son muy diferentes y la forma en que ambos se interpretan le da un toque cómico que me parece excelente, pero al ir poco a poco conociendo la dura vida e historia detrás de Haru, le da a la historia buena increíble explosión de emociones. Para mí, la forma en que la historia invita a la audiencia a considerar lo que está pasando en la cabeza de sus personajes; es una forma muy elegante de generar empatía y es lo mejor que he visto en un anime de este estilo.

Haru

A lo largo del anime, las interacciones entre Subaru y Haru provocan que se establezca una conexión especial entre ambos. Subaru se vuelve mucho más cercano a su editor, que es un amigo de su infancia, también a la persona de atención al cliente de la tienda de mascotas, entre otras personas, además de que comprende más a profundidad los intentos de sus padres fallecidos por hacerlo crecer como persona. Haru también conoce e interactúa con otros personajes y forma nuevos vínculos con los animales de la zona. Uno de los mejores alivios cómicos es el perro de al lado, muy buenas las intervenciones que tiene.

Este anime está estructurado en episodios muy emotivos y que se centran en el desarrollo de personaje de Subaru. Pero eso juega un poco en contra, ya que la serie se vuelve algo predecible. Sin embargo, el viaje de Subaru hacia una persona más expresiva y empática es una historia bastante conmovedora. Es un anime que recomiendo mucho ya que son historias cortas, simples con una alta carga emotiva y cómica, perfecto para pasar un rato agradable mientras reímos y lloramos.

This anime is made up of small stories of everyday life in which Subaru and Haru fight and learn to live together. Subaru is a rather shy writer and has difficulty in social relationships. Subaru in his day-to-day life takes for granted all the little things he has done but, throughout the series, a cat in his life forces him to reevaluate all those things. In fact, there is a lot of regret in this anime, and Subaru's development as a person is quite good. At first, his understanding of himself was very poor, but towards the end he begins to understand who he is. Maybe he's a little unbearable at first but for me Subaru's journey from start to finish is extremely moving.

Not only does Subaru seem like a good character to me, we also have the other protagonist: Haru, the cat who accompanies Subaru on all his adventures and who occupies a large part of what is narrated in the anime; Approximately half of each episode we will be in Haru's head, in his thoughts, but one of the things I like most about this anime is that what Subaru sees and what Haru sees are very different and the way they both interpret each other. It gives it a comical touch that I think is excellent, but as we gradually learn about the hard life and history behind Haru, it gives the good story an incredible explosion of emotions. For me, the way the story invites the audience to consider what is going on in its characters' heads; It is a very elegant way of generating empathy and it is the best I have seen in an anime of this style.

Haru

Throughout the anime, the interactions between Subaru and Haru cause a special connection to be established between them. Subaru becomes much closer to his editor, who is a friend from his childhood, also to the customer service person at the pet store, among other people, in addition to having a deeper understanding of his deceased parents' attempts to make him grow as a person. Haru also meets and interacts with other characters and forms new bonds with the animals in the area. One of the best comic reliefs is the dog next door, his interventions are very good.

This anime is structured into very emotional episodes that focus on Subaru's character development. But that works against it a bit, since the series becomes somewhat predictable. However, Subaru's journey towards a more expressive and empathetic person is quite a moving story. It is an anime that I highly recommend since they are short, simple stories with a high emotional and comic charge, perfect for having a pleasant time while we laugh and cry.
