Piglet 2025 Cult Movie Review
Most of the reviews i have written concern quite good Movies and Series. It's quite rare for me to see something that is average or like 6/10. That is because i tend to do a thorough research before i watch something.
This time, though, get ready for a small journey into the new era of Cult films. In general, we tend to say that cult films are, most of the times, low-budget films, with not the greatest film tools, where a lot of scenes actually look fake. That being said, due to that and sometimes due to the scenario, the outcome is quite entertaining and fun and thus it gains a dedicated fan base "cult".
Now this new movie cult crazy had its eyes on Disney and to be more precise on Piglet, Winnie, Peter Pan, Mickey Mouse etc etc. The reason is simple. Years have passed and now everyone can freely use these characters without needing any copyrights.
Thus, a new cult series of film came out with the Disney characters as a protagonist but with a twist. Each one of them is are villains in their own movies and basically hunt and kill people.
Plot
Starting with one of the films, one of the worst ones i would say, the Piglet 2025 is a b-horror movie and as you can imagine, the villain is no other than the Piglet. So the story starts with the piglet being held in a police truck with chains, transferring to another prison or something.
There, the cops let us the viewers, know about how cruel he is and how many people he has killed. Then the piglet escapes and brutally kills them all. At the same time we got a group of teens with Kate being the protagonist who are about to celebrate her 21st birthday and they have booked a remote house in the forest.
Guess who will show up...
What I Liked and What I Didn't
To begin with, i will rate the movie as a cult one, if i do so like a regular movie it's like 1/10 so watch it with that in mind. Now, in terms of the plot it's pretty straightforward and there are no big plot twists, you can pretty much guess everything.
A fun thing is that some actors are actually real prostitutes or something which was a bit funny, especially based on the roles they had. Also, Piglet was fun in terms of the costume and such. You can pretty much see the pictures, but we are talking about a hybrid like a humanoid Pig that likes to kill and eat humans.
The scenes are always quite gory in these cult films, but it was entertaining as it really, really seemed fake. Meanwhile, when i see real blood, i get dizzy, so you can imagine how fake these scenes were.
Overall, in terms of a cult film, it was like a 3-4/10. There are way better ones which i will review in the following days. It felt a bit boring at certain times as well. Note that Terrifier was also a cult film and managed to get millions in terms of funding, so you never know!
