This weekend has been quite busy, however, I come to tell you a little of the movie that we saw last night at home, this was a selection of Mathias, this child has a slight inclination for horror movies and then walks around scared in the corners, although this one would not say it is horror, for my little boy it is, in fact it is classified as suspense, drama and science fiction, and indeed has a little of each of these, we find ourselves with another of many films about Frankenstein and his monster, I must make a stop here and note that, for a long time and lack of culture (hahaha) I thought that Frankenstein was the monster and not his creator, well now I unburden my moment of ignorance and continue, this film released in 2015, and I just stopped to see, is told from the perspective of Igor, the servile assistant of Dr. Victor Frankenstein, and that here is told from the perspective of Igor, the servile assistant of Dr. Victor Frankenstein, and that here is the story of his creator. This is a film with a totally different vision than those I had seen before, however, a view of Frankenstein's life that I had not seen in another film, since in the vast majority they paint him as a soulless madman, and although crazy He was, he had a reason for everything he did, and here they tell it, I must note that seeing Radcliffe in another role other than Harry Potter is something I don't get used to, hahaha, however, it seems to me that he performed very well, and for his part, the role of the deranged madman that James McAvoy plays, he knows how to do very well. Hey! I'm leaving out Inspector Roderick Turpin, played by Andrew Scott, an insistent inspector who is behind the unholy actions of Víctor, and the truth is that he is really insistent, and he does a good performance in this role.
The setting causes me mixed feelings, because although there are scenes that really look very good, there are others, especially in the outdoor scenes, that in my opinion leave a lot to be desired, on the contrary, the sets used for the laboratories where Frankenstein does its crazy things, they were very well done, and I liked the fact that although it is a period film, the lighting was really good, revealing many details, the special effects were very consistent in my opinion, and although this film did not receive very good reviews, I think it can be given a chance, probably the criticism it has received has been for touching the most sentimental part of Victor Frankenstein and not making it as terrifying as other films based on this novel. For my part I will give it a 7/10.

¡Hola, hola, feliz fin de semana, mis queridos amantes del buen cine! Este fin de semana ha estado bastante ocupado, sin embargo, les vengo a contar un poco de la película que nos vimos anoche en casa, esta fue una selección de Mathias, este niño tiene una ligera inclinación por las películas de terror y luego anda asustado por los rincones, aunque esta no diría que es de terror, para mi pequeño lo es, de hecho está catalogada como suspenso, drama y ciencia ficción, y en efecto tiene un poco de cada una de estas, nos encontramos con otra de tantas películas sobre Frankenstein y su monstruo, que debo hacer un alto aquí y acotar que, durante mucho tiempo y por falta de cultura (jajaja) pensé que Frankenstein era el monstruo y no su creador, bueno ya desahogue mi momento de ignorancia y continuo, esta película estrenada en 2015, y que recién me detuve a ver, está contada desde la perspectiva de Igor, el servil ayudante del Dr. Víctor Frankenstein, y que aquí además de contar su lado de la historia, le vemos totalmente diferente a como se le ha visto en otras películas sobre Frankenstein.
La historia comienza contando las desventuras de un jorobado de circo (Daniel Radcliffe), que era maltratado en todos los aspectos, como un acto más de circo, pero que tenía una afición muy grande por la ciencia y todo ese mundo, este conoce a Víctor Frankenstein (James McAvoy), cuando en medio del acto del amor platónico del jorobado, Lorelei (Jessica Brown Findlay), cae aparatosamente desde las alturas, y es salvada por el jorobado y Víctor Frankenstein, que en ese momento le ofrece al jorobado salir de allí, porque su conocimiento en medicina, es muy bueno, por lo que el jorobado es castigado y encerrado, para luego ser salvado por Víctor, quien lo lleva a su casa, arregla su joroba y le da el nombre de su antiguo y "desaparecido" asistente, Igor.
Igor y Víctor se convierten en buenos amigos y es Igor, según esta historia quien le ayuda a Víctor a llevar a cabo su retorcido sueño de devolverle la vida a los muertos, teniendo éxito con un mono ya en estado de descomposición, que los hace ganarse el apoyo de una de las familias más acaudaladas de Londres y quien financia de ahí en más, el gran proyecto de Víctor Frankenstein, quien detrás de su obsesión esconde un gran secreto y dolor, y que es Igor quien le ayuda a lidiar con él, ya sin joroba, peinado, bien vestido y con una mejor postura, Igor acompaña a Víctor a una fiesta, en donde se encuentra nuevamente con Lorelai, a quien le confiesa quien es y surge una relación entre ellos, lo que causa conflictos entre él y Víctor, quedando así Igor, por fuera del gran proyecto, que es la "fabricación" del gran monstruo.
No les contaré más, pues, si no la has visto, no quiero hacer spoilers. Esta es una película con una visión totalmente diferente a las que había visto antes, sin embargo, una vista a la vida de Frankenstein que no había visto en otra película, pues en la gran mayoría lo pintan como un loco sin alma, y aunque loco estaba, tenía un porqué para todo lo que hacía, y aquí lo cuentan, debo acotar que, ver a Radcliffe en otro papel que no sea Harry Potter es algo a lo que no me acostumbro, jajaja, sin embargo, me parece que se desempeñó muy bien, y por su parte el papel de loco desquiciado que hace James McAvoy, lo sabe hacer muy bien. ¡Hey! Estoy dejando por fuera al Inspector Roderick Turpin, interpretado por Andrew Scott, un insistente inspector que está tras las acciones impías de Víctor, y la verdad es que es realmente insistente, y hace una buena actuación en este papel.
La ambientación me causa sentimientos encontrados, pues aunque hay escenas que realmente se ven muy bien, hay otras, sobre todo en las escenas de exteriores, que a mi parecer dejan mucho que desear, por el contrario, las escenografías utilizadas para los laboratorios donde Frankenstein hace sus locuras, estuvieron muy bien hechas, y me gusto el hecho de que aunque es una película de época, la iluminación estuvo realmente bien, dejando ver así muchos detalles, los efectos especiales muy acordes a mi parecer, y aunque esta película no recibió muy buenas críticas, considero que se le puede dar una oportunidad, probablemente las críticas que ha recibido han sido por tocar la parte más sentimental de Víctor Frankenstein y no hacerla tan terrorífica como otras películas basadas en esta novela. Por mi parte le otorgaré un 7/10.

Una muy buena película de Daniel como actor aunque prefiero más la que hizo Benicio del toro como hombre lobo o la que hizo hugh jackman como van Helsing.
Hay muchas versiones, y creo que cada una tiene lo suyo, Van Helsing aunque tuvo mucha mala critica, la verdad es que a mi me encanto y de vez en cuando la vemos en casa.
Sí sé que tuvo mala crítica pero las actuaciones fueron bastante excelentes otra que me gusta es la de Hansel y Gretel la que hace ojo de halcón.
Confieso que me pasó lo mismo la primera vez que la vi, Daniel Radcliffe no siendo Harry Potter fue extraño jeje, pero la verdad lo hizo muy bien como Igor.
Pd. 2 cosas: que brutales los gustos de tu chamo jeje y también pensaba antes que Frankestein era el mounstro 🤭
