[ESP - ENG] Películas que espero para este 2025 / Movies I'm looking forward to in 2025

Con el final del semana, ya hemos visto muchas megaproducciones que han decepcionado, tanto en crítica, como en taquilla, por lo que hoy quiero comentarles de algunas películas que espero este año, que sinceramente, pienso que no serán tan desastrosas.

As the week draws to a close, we've already seen many blockbusters that have disappointed both critics and box office audiences. So today I want to tell you about some films I'm looking forward to this year, which I honestly don't think will be as disastrous.

Hay varias producciones que nos traerán historias que nadie pidió, o que adaptarán otras entregas que son de culto popular, por lo que las expectativas se mantienen muy altas, asi que quiero comentar con ustedes lo que espero de ellas, sus puntos positivos, e incluso, algunos negativos. Este año pienso que será como una transición, por lo que tengo fe de que viendo el rendimiento en general de las cintas, las empresas tomen en cuenta las opiniones del público y en un futuro tengamos más películas de mejor calidad, o al menos, mejores historias.

There are several productions that will bring us stories no one asked for, or that will adapt other popular cult films, so expectations remain very high. I want to share with you what I expect from them, their positive aspects, and even some negative ones. This year, I think it will be like a transition, so I have faith that, given the overall performance of the films, companies will take audience opinions into account and in the future we'll have more, higher-quality films, or at least better stories.

Como entrenar a tu dragón: 13 de junio de 2025.

De mis sagas animadas favoritas, tengo que posicionar a como entrenar a tu dragón en la primera posición, pues para mí la trilogía rozó la perfección, sumado a su mensaje de superación y cambio, que al día de hoy, se mantiene intacto. Que adapten este historia al Live Action no es algo que me emocione demasiado por los errores que he visto en producciones anteriores, pero ver una imagen realista de Chimuelo y compañía, es algo que simplemente no puedo esperar a ver.

Of my favorite animated series, I have to put How to Train Your Dragon at the top of the list, because for me the trilogy was close to perfect, combined with its message of overcoming difficulties and change, which remains intact to this day. I'm not too thrilled about adapting this story to live action due to the mistakes I've seen in previous productions, but seeing a realistic portrayal of Toothless and company is something I simply can't wait to see.

La historia al parecer será muy fiel a lo visto en la cinta, pues el material original distaba un poco por la ausencia de personajes importantes como Astrid, la vikinga que se transformó en el amor de Hipo, y la mejor guerrera de su generación. Viendo el trailer también me llamó mucho la escenografía, los valles se ven increíble, al igual que los dragones, el pueblo y las arenas de entrenamiento.

The story seems to be very faithful to what we saw in the film, as the original material was somewhat different due to the absence of important characters like Astrid, the Viking who became Hiccup's love and the greatest warrior of her generation. Watching the trailer, I was also very drawn to the scenery; the valleys look incredible, as do the dragons, the town, and the training arenas.

Como no podía ser de otra forma, la inclusión forzada vuelve atacar, viendo como la actriz de Astrid, una vikinga con evidentes raíces nórdicas, será interpretada por Nico Parker, pero espero que esto no pese tanto en la cinta, pues hay elecciones muy buenas de cast, como Gerard Butler haciendo nada más y nada menos que de Estoico, el jefe de la aldea vikinga.

As it could not be otherwise, the forced inclusion strikes again, seeing how the actress of Astrid, a Viking with evident Nordic roots, will be played by Nico Parker, but I hope that this does not weigh so much on the film, since there are very good casting choices, such as Gerard Butler playing none other than Stoick, the chief of the Viking village.

Lilo y Stitch: 23 de mayo de 2025

Después de todas las producciones fallidas de Disney, he visto los trailers de este clásico de niñez, y tengo que decir muy honestamente, que le tengo mucha fe al proyecto. No soy demasiado positivo con los live action, pero como con la selección anterior, pienso que si son fieles a la historia, podríamos ver finalmente un producto que valga la pena, pues Lilo y Stitch tiene un buen mensaje y una buena historia, que puede ser disfrutada por todos.

After all the failed Disney productions, I've seen the trailers for this childhood classic, and I have to say, quite honestly, that I have a lot of faith in the project. I'm not overly positive about live-action, but like the previous selection, I think that if they're faithful to the story, we could finally see a worthwhile product, as Lilo and Stitch has a good message and a good story that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Aunque tienen ciertos detalles en la selección de personajes, clásico de las producciones "inclusivas" de la actualidad, he visto que el origen hawaiano es algo que respetaron, por lo que veremos una versión bastante pegada a la original. En la sección de animación, Stitch fue un reto en su versión original, ya que al no tener párpados, era difícil captar sus emociones, por lo que lo hicieron tan expresivo corporalmente hablando, y la animación realista creo que, además de verse bien, logra estos parámetros.

Although they have certain details in the character selection, a classic of today's "inclusive" productions, I've seen that the Hawaiian origin is something they respected, so we'll see a version that's pretty close to the original. In the animation section, Stitch was a challenge in his original version, since he didn't have eyelids, making it difficult to capture his emotions, so they made him so expressive physically speaking, and I think the realistic animation, in addition to looking good, achieves these parameters.

También tendrán actores que elevarán la comedia con los personajes en CGI, Zach Galifianakis, el legendario Alan de la saga de ¿Que pasó ayer?, hará del científico loco Jumba, por lo que sumado a escenas como cuando Stitch ladra o deja salir a su lado malvado, desatando el caos, creo que la harán hilarante. Los planos espaciales y demás extraterrestres lucen bien, pero con los problemas de CGI actuales, habrá que ver el resultado final para hacer un juicio acertado en esta sección.

They'll also have actors who will elevate the comedy with the CGI characters. Zach Galifianakis, the legendary Alan from The Hangover series, will play the mad scientist Jumba. This, combined with scenes like Stitch barking or letting his evil side out, unleashing chaos, makes it hilarious. The space shots and other extraterrestrial scenes look good, but with the current CGI issues, we'll have to see the final result to make an informed judgment in this section.

F1: 27 de junio de 2025

Con Brad Pitt como protagonista, esta cinta promete ser uno de los Blockbuster del año, ya que estará llena de mucha emoción y contará con una historia de reención, haciendo que un piloto jubilado vuelva nuevamente a las pistas, después de que su equipo no le esté pasando nada bien.

Starring Brad Pitt, this film promises to be one of the blockbusters of the year, as it will be filled with emotion and will tell a story of reunion, bringing a retired driver back to the track after his team is not doing well.

Pero más allá de lo que podría ser una historia interesante, este cinta está llamada a innovar en muchos otros aspectos, pues buscarán llevar a la gran pantalla la emoción y adrenalina de la F1, utilizando sets de la competiciones actuales con sus respectivas 10 escuderias, y además de esto, pinta para ser una de las películas más costosas de la historia, pues además grabarán con autos reales, lo que le dará un toque de realismo nunca antes visto en películas de este género.

But beyond what could be an interesting story, this film is destined to innovate in many other aspects, as they will seek to bring the excitement and adrenaline of F1 to the big screen, using sets from current competitions with their respective 10 teams, and in addition to this, it looks like it will be one of the most expensive films in history, as they will also film with real cars, which will give it a touch of realism never before seen in films of this genre.

Aún no se sabe mucho más, pues solo se ha publicado un trailer donde se pone de manifiesto lo anteriormente mencionado, y aunque no soy muy fanático de este deporte, quiero ver el producto final, pues tal vez sea lo más cercano que alguna vez esté de la F1, jajaja.
