El mundo del Internet sin lugar a dudas tiene sus ventajas, pero también tiene desventajas serias que muchas veces no tomamos en serio. Esto lo menciono porque a hace pocos días vi una película que llamó mucho mi atención y pues la decidí ver. El filme se llama Hombres, mujeres y niños, que fue lanzada a los cines en el año 2014. La misma tiene una duración de 116 minutos y fui dirigida por Jason Reitman, mientras que el guion estuvo a carga de Jason Reitman y Erin Cressida Wilson. Esta película está basada en la novela escrita por Chad Kultgen bajo el mismo título. Realmente es una película que nos muestra la realidad de los problemas que puede acarrear la adicción del Internet y como esto puede cambiar la vida de las personas.

La película es del género de drama juvenil y familiar, que como ustedes saben es mi género favorito, me gustan mucho las producciones de romance y drama, pero cuando toman el tema del Internet y como esta suele ser perjudicial para las personas cuando se consume el exceso, siempre queremos estar en las redes sociales y dejamos de tener una relación o comunicación tanto como la familia, como con las amistades. Este es un tema que cada vez, vemos más común, las personas son adictos al Internet en general, pero sobre todo a las redes sociales. Incluso estoy consciente porque de ello, porque soy una persona de estar más en mi teléfono móvil, en las redes, en hive, viendo películas, animes, jugando, que estar compartiendo, claro en mis momentos libres de mis actividades diarias.

La trama de esta película son historias cruzadas, que nos cuenta como las vidas de adolescentes y sus padres se han visto afectadas por el uso de la tecnología, ya que no solo abarca las redes sociales, sino que también contenidos sexuales y también los videojuegos que también suelen afectar mucho. En la película vemos como chicos y adultos están consumidos en materiales pornográficos, como traicionan a sus parejas por páginas de citas en Internet. Pero esto no queda aquí ya que en la mayoría de los casos solemos cuando tenemos ciertos problemas, solemos refugiarnos en los videojuegos para tratar de olvidarnos de los problemas, pero también es cierto que es bueno de un todo, ya que podemos dejar de compartir con nuestros seres queridos, por estar simplemente metido en un juego. Obviamente se tocan temas de la sexualidad, incluso como hay personas que suelen colocar materiales inapropiados en las redes, solo para ganar fama.

Sabemos que todo lo mencionado anteriormente es malo para la vida de un ser humano, porque tal vez a corto plazo no llegue afectar, pero hay un momento que sí suele pasar, llegarás a tener problemas en tu familia. Pero, este filme también muestra como algunos padres quieren tratar de controlar el uso de la tecnología, pero de forma excesiva, vulnerando la privacidad de los demás, incluso ocasionando serios problemas que más adelante nos podemos arrepentir.

The Internet world undoubtedly has its advantages, but it also has serious disadvantages that we often do not take seriously. I mention this because a few days ago I saw a movie that caught my attention and I decided to watch it. The film is called Men, Women and Children, which was released in theaters in 2014. The same has a duration of 116 minutes and was directed by Jason Reitman, while the script was in charge of Jason Reitman and Erin Cressida Wilson. This movie is based on the novel written by Chad Kultgen under the same title. It is really a movie that shows us the reality of the problems that Internet addiction can bring and how it can change people's lives.


The film is of the genre of youth and family drama, which as you know is my favorite genre, I really like the productions of romance and drama, but when they take the theme of the Internet and how this is often harmful to people when consumed in excess, we always want to be on social networks and we stop having a relationship or communication both as family and friends. This is an issue that every time, we see more common, people are addicted to the Internet in general, but especially to social networks. I am even aware of it, because I am a person who is more on my cell phone, on the networks, on hive, watching movies, anime, playing games, than sharing, of course in my free moments of my daily activities.


The plot of this film is crossed stories, which tells us how the lives of teenagers and their parents have been affected by the use of technology, as it not only covers social networks, but also sexual content and also video games that also tend to affect a lot. In the film we see how children and adults are consumed by pornographic materials, how they betray their partners through Internet dating sites. But this does not stop here because in most cases when we have certain problems, we tend to take refuge in video games to try to forget the problems, but it is also true that it is good as a whole, because we can stop sharing with our loved ones, just to be involved in a game. Obviously sexuality issues are touched, even as there are people who tend to place inappropriate materials in the networks, just to gain fame.


We know that everything mentioned above is bad for the life of a human being, because maybe in the short term it does not affect, but there is a moment that usually happens, you will have problems in your family. But, this film also shows how some parents want to try to control the use of technology, but in an excessive way, violating the privacy of others, even causing serious problems that later we can regret.

Para contarles un poco sobre las historia de cada familia, es importante mencionar el buen reparto que tiene esta película, porque siento que fue realmente bueno. Esta película tiene a Adam Sandler, un actor que lo he visto más que todo en filmes de comedia, pero el papel de Don Truby le quedó bastante bien, ya que es un padre que tiene serios problemas con su esposa Helen (Rosemarie DeWitt), todo debido a que ninguno se suelen dar atención entre ellos, así que Don se refugia en el mundo del Internet y los contenidos sexuales. Lo mismo le ocurrió a su hijo Chris, interpretado por Travis Tope, que a corta edad veía contenidos en el Internet que le estaban ocasionando serios problemas. La película nos muestra como la vida de una familia se puede ver truncada solo por no prestarse atención mutua, estar más pendiente de otras cosas, que de sus hijos. Esto es un problema que se ve comúnmente en la realidad y más en nuestros tiempos.

También tenemos la historia de Kent Mooney (Dean Norris) quien fue abandonado por su esposa, no solo afectándolo a él, sino que también a su hijo Tim (Ansel Elgort), quién decidió alejarse de toda su vida anterior para quedarse totalmente solo, sin ninguno de sus amigos, pero por decisión propia. Pero más adelante conoce a una chica llamada Brandy, cuya madre llamada Patricia Beltmeyer (Jennifer Garner) le revisa todas sus redes sociales y la mantiene monitoreada en todo momento, lo cual afecta a la joven, ya que sabemos que si estar pendientes de los niños y adolescentes con el uso de la tecnología, pero también es importante no violar la privacidad y más tomando en cuenta que la chica ya era una adolescente, ya que cuando se es niño es otra cosa distinta. También tenemos a Donna Clint, interpretada por Judy Greer, quien sube en la redes sociales fotos de su hijas, que muchas no son apropiadas, y que le trae más adelante en la historia algunos problemas, ya que no puede cumplir su sueño de trabajar en la TV por esto. En la película la chica se llama Hannah Clint, quien le da vida al papel Olivia Crocicchia.

En la película también muestran otras historias cruzadas de más familia, pero estas son las que más me llamaron la atención, sin restarle importancia a las demás, porque también suele ser un problema, pero estas son las que le veo relación con el uso de la tecnología. El cast de Hombres, mujeres y niños me pareció que fue perfectos, cada uno realizó un gran trabajo en su papel. Lo que más me llamó la atención fue lo ido que estaban varias de nuestros personajes, quienes preferían sumergirse en el mundo del Internet y los videojuegos que compartir con la familia y los amigos. Destacar las actuaciones de Ansel Elgort, Jennifer Garner y Adam Sandler, ya que con ellos fueron los que más conecte con sus personajes, sin des meritar a los más integrantes del reparto que también lo hicieron bien.

This movie has Adam Sandler, an actor that I have seen him mostly in comedy films, but the role of Don Truby fit him quite well, as he is a father who has serious problems with his wife Helen (Rosemarie DeWitt), all due to the fact that neither of them usually pay attention to each other, so Don takes refuge in the world of the Internet and sexual content. The film shows us how a family's life can be truncated just for not paying attention to each other, being more concerned about other things than their children. This is a problem that is commonly seen in reality and even more so in our times.

In the film they also show other crossed stories of more family, but these are the ones that caught my attention the most, without diminishing the importance of the others, because it is also usually a problem, but these are the ones that I see related to the use of technology. The cast of Men, women and children seemed to me to be perfect, each one did a great job in their role. What struck me the most was how far gone several of our characters were, who preferred to immerse themselves in the world of the Internet and video games rather than share with family and friends. The performances of Ansel Elgort, Jennifer Garner and Adam Sandler stood out, as they were the ones I most connected with their characters, without detracting from the other cast members who also did well.

Opinión Final

El trabajo de Jason Reitman en la dirección de la película, además quien también participó en la creación del guion junto a Erin Cressida Wilson. El trabajo de ambos fue realmente bueno ya que nos muestra la realidad que pueden pasar las personas y el conflicto que puede ocasionar el uso de la la tecnología y el Internet dentro de una familia. Otro punto importante de Hombre, mujeres y niños es el hecho de las historias cruzadas de las familias que nos muestran en el filme y como algo en común puede cambiar la vida de muchos personas para mal. Pero también encontramos cosas buenas, como que a pesar de las adversidades y malos momentos, también pueden llegar a nuestras vidas personas que la cambian para bien, es decir, que nos debemos apoyar más en las personas, ya sea familia o amigos, que en la tecnología.

Realmente esta es una buena película, que tiene una gran historia, el reparto es excepcional y en la pantalla se muestra que poseen una gran química, algo que es realmente bueno. Hombres, mujeres y niños tiene una buena fotografía y escenarios que pueden llegar a gustar a los espectadores. Siento que esta película vale la pena verla, es un tema interesante donde muchos nos podemos dar cuenta de más allá de las ventajas del Internet y el uso de la tecnología, pero también debemos darnos cuentas que muchos los consumimos en exceso y dejamos a un lado las cosas que realmente importan, que es la familia y los amigos. Le doy un 9, ya que sé que no es perfecta pero en lo personal a mi me gustó y de acuerdo a la opinión que estoy dando por la experiencia que me deja la película, es una buena puntuación.

The work of both was really good as it shows us the reality that people can go through and the conflict that can cause the use of technology and the Internet within a family. Another important point of Man, Women and Children is the fact of the crossed histories of the families shown in the film and how something in common can change the lives of many people for the worse. But we also find good things, such as that despite adversity and bad times, people can also come into our lives and change it for the better, that is, that we should rely more on people, whether family or friends, than on technology.


This is a really good movie, it has a great story, the cast is exceptional and on screen it shows that they have a great chemistry, something that is really good. Men, women and children has a good photography and scenarios that can be liked by the viewers. I feel that this movie is worth watching, it is an interesting topic where many of us can realize beyond the advantages of the Internet and the use of technology, but we must also realize that many of us consume them in excess and leave aside the things that really matter, which is family and friends. I give it a 9, since I know it is not perfect but personally I liked it and according to the opinion that I am giving for the experience that the film leaves me, it is a good score.
