At least The Idea of Having You is a movie that not only deals with romance and drama, but also gives us a touch of laughter. It is a story that was well adapted and I think that those of us who love this genre should like the Amazon Studios film. I can really say that I found the plot very entertaining, maybe they could have improved some details, but nothing that affects people's experience. In this aspect, the film is a success, since it subtly talks about this topic that for many can be controversial.

Una de las películas que tenía más ansias de ver en este 2024 fue la Idea de tenerte. Este es un filme que fue dirigido por Michael Showalter y el guion estuvo a cargo de Jennifer Westfeldt, Michael Showalter. Esta película es basada en la novela escrita por Robinne Lee, quien por cierto tuvo cierta participación, supervisando esta producción. Esta entrega es del género drama romántico, pero una de las cosas que más me gusta es que se centra más en el romance y al drama tiene cierta importancia, pero no como en otros, donde todo se centra más en los problemas que podemos pasar los seres humanos al enamorarnos.

La cinta tiene una duración de casi dos horas, donde nos cuenta la historia de Solène de 40 años de edad, quien es madre divorciada de una adolescente, donde está se termina de enamorar de Hayes Campbell, un joven de 24 años de edad, quien pertenece a una banda de pop llamada Hayes Campbell, donde está integrada solo por chicos, uno de ellos siendo el ya mencionado. Esta película tiene un toque de comedia, pero vuelvo y repito, todo se centra más en el romance que en otra cosa y como puede faltar el drama cuando se enamoran dos personas con una diferencia de edad notable, algo que no está bien visto en la sociedad y más cuando la mujer es la de mayor edad. La trama de esta película pueda que se parezca a otras películas, pero realmente me pareció muy buena, estuvo bien realizada y más para estos tiempos, donde han salido producciones realmente malas y sin sentidos, que realmente no aportan nada al espectador. Al menos La idea de tenerte es una película que no solo trata el tema romántico y el drama, sino que también nos da un toque de risas. Es una historia que estuvo bien adaptada y creo que a los que amamos este género, les debió gustar en cinta de Amazon Studios. Realmente les puedo decir que la trama me pareció muy entretenida, tal vez pudieron mejorar algunos detalles, pero nada que afecte la experiencia de las personas. Nicholas, who is a British actor and singer, also played a great role, connecting very well with Hathaway and this is one of the things that stood out the most about the film and why I feel it came out well. We also have another group of supporting actors in this film, in which we can highlight Ella Rubin, Reid Scott, Jordan Aaron Hall and Jaiden Anthony, who did well, of course they always connected more with some characters, but personally I think the cast was a success and ideal for this production.

The cinematography of The Idea of Having You was in charge of Jim Frohna, doing a really good job, the scenes were recreated in quite beautiful places. But what I liked the most about this film was the soundtrack, really one of the things we can highlight the most. The soundtrack was in charge of Goldspot, where in the film they put music mostly pop, but also some that have a touch more of romance. Among the tracks are Taste, Dance Before We Walk, The Idea of You Bold, I Got You, all by August Moon and Nicholas Galitzine, with the participation of other important singers from the entertainment world.

La actuación de Anne Hathaway, es una actriz que puedo decir que todas las películas que he visto de ella nunca me ha decepcionado, una actuación magistral en una película que tal vez no destaque tanto por género, pero realmente se ve que actúa excelente bien y esto quedó demostrado en este filme. En cuanto al reparto, es una de las cosas que más podemos destacar de esta película, sobre todo por parte de Anne Hathaway quien hizo el papel de Solène Marchand y Nicholas Galitzine como Hayes Campbell. Obviamente, la historia está centrado en estos dos personajes, los que más aparecen en las escenas son estos dos, haciendo realmente un trabajo, incluso la conexión de ambos traspasó la pantalla.

The idea of having you is a good movie, which fulfills its purpose which is to entertain fans of the romance genre, where drama can never be absent, but we also have a touch of comedy that makes us laugh. The central theme may be a cliché that we find in other films, but this one was well adapted. The cast was fantastic, but especially the acting of the leads, Anne Hathaway being the standout in my personal opinion and the young actor and singer Nicholas Galitzine. The cinematography was well done, but the most outstanding of all is the music and soundtrack, very catchy themes and others more romantic and some with nostalgia, all according to what we were well. This is a movie that I can recommend to the general public, but especially to lovers of romance and drama. A 9/10 is the score I can tell you, all by the looks of it. Remember that this is a viewer's opinion and not a professional one.
