Reviewing "Everybody Loves Jennifer" :) Crazy Lagos/Ghana Production

What i love about Cinema is you get to watch a movie with a bunch of people you don't actually know, the common thing however is they all have similar interest in the movie as you.

I watched this movie titled “Everybody loves Jennifer” in Genesis Cinema in Lagos state January 3rd 2025. It was our last night in Lagos after spending the festive period, my aunt thought since it's the last she should make it memorable, and trust me spending it at the Cinema was the best choice.

Jenifa is a successful business woman and a social media influencer, she is also someone who can go any length to succeed in whatever she does and get what she wants. Aside from her anticipation She is also charitable and good at encouraging and giving a helping hand if need be.

However, Jenifa's life takes a dramatic turn when a wealthy newcomer named Lobster Lawrence moves into her neighborhood stealing away her spotlight and charitable deeds in the community.

Jenifa traveled to Ghana with her friends to take some fresh air because of the trauma Lobster pulled her in, unfortunately she was faced with a much more serious danger, with a deadly drug baron after a bag of drugs was left in their rental.

Lessons learned.

The movie talks so much about life and how different people can react to a situation. Lawrance wanted to kill his wife while she was in a coma at the hospital. He wanted to inject a drug into her drip but luckily he was caught.

His wife found out he was running a fake NGO by forging a before and after video of drug addicts using it to take grants from organizations. However his wife snooped into his laptop hoping to find evidence that he was cheating but found out about his fraudulent business she knows nothing about so they both got into a fight, unknowingly to them jenifer was at the door visiting to negotiate with lawrence about becoming his partner when she saw him pushed his wife which got her into coma, and that was the beginning of the war.

But i don't think that was the reason he wanted to kill his wife at the hospital, i think it's because he already found someone else and so he thought why keep a wife who doesn't accept his business . So yes he was indeed cheating.

Well I won't be surprised if this plays out in people's lives. The point however is getting to know your partner before getting married, i mean you can't just jump into marriage with a complete stranger, you have to know his health status and most importantly the kind of business he does or is involved with.

My sister @bipolar95 got into a debate with me after we returned from the cinema. The debate was frankly the topic based on what we watched “ What will a wife do if she finds out her husband is involved in a fraudulent business”? Well i for sure said I'll practically talk things out and communicate with him rather than causing a scene and raising alarm, besides we are married and one. Call me savage but that fraudulent business puts food on the table and takes me to whatever places i want to be or get me any amount of things i want. Bipolar however was saying she would basically do the opposite just as the the wife did which actually lead to our debate that morning at exactly 1am 😂

The movie is packed with a lot of twisted turns. Friends turning out to someone you thought you knew but you never did, siblings snitching on their blood because of money, neighbors not wanting to associate because you speak the truth, apparently the truth hurts but saying it even hurts more despite the fact that truth has no secret.

Overall the most important lesson I learnt from this movie is contentment, to be content with whatever you have in life, and never envy the life of others because if you look at it in a different angle other than what you see you would prefer your life over and over again.

Oops. ……I don't want to go any further so as not to be a spoiler. I think I've given out too many details about the movie already.

I would rate this movie 9.9. It involves romance, comedy, action, and drama. The funny part though is I get to laugh with a group of people I haven't actually seen before.

So if this movie suits your taste I suggest you go watch it in the cinema as it can only be found there. It is shown worldwide including the UK, US, Dublin, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Nigeria and many more counties.
