Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: A dignified and emotional ending / Guardianes de la Galaxia Vol. 3: Un digno y emotivo final

Since Endgame my excitement for Marvel has dropped enormously, there are few or almost none products that have caught my attention to see after that end, some projects looked interesting but in the end were not the big deal, but one of those projects of which I consider that since his first film, a group of misfits who joined together to save the galaxy has recently had its well-deserved "end", which is not at all an end of the characters, because it is more than certain that they will return, but the circumstances of that return are still unclear.

When it was announced that this would be the last movie of the Guardians of the Galaxy many people expected that they were going to die in this movie or at least several members of their group and after the release of the trailer those theories intensified even more, as they showed scenes which hinted that some characters were going to die, but in the end it was not and they only had a farewell to some of the members of this group of saviors. If I am not mistaken, the actor and former wrestler Dave Bautista had announced that this would be his last movie playing Drax, so by logic it was expected that this would be the character who was going to die in this movie, but in the end this character was given a "final" and quite happy purpose, which is in the care of a group of children, which were experiments of the villain of this film, since this film is focused on the creator of Rocket, which is a scientist who seeks to create the perfect society with individuals made to perfection and all this he wants to achieve at all costs, even using methods of zero morality.

Much of the film is focused on Rocket, who after receiving an attack from Warlock is so severely injured that the traditional means of healing does not work on him (traditional means according to the Guardians of the Galaxy) because inside him he has a kind of section that disables the use of this means of healing, That is why the Guardians have no choice but to look for the creator of Rocket, therefore, for much of the film Rocket does not make an appearance as such, but if we can sporadically see moments of his past, which is the saddest of the film.

As usual these movies are full of humor, a humor that has been very present since the first one and the truth is that it is a pretty good humor and not the kind of humor that Marvel always fills in their other projects, which in most cases is quite silly and does not fit very well with the different situations. However, thanks to James Guns, the humor in this third installment is quite good, situational and fits very well with both the situation and the characters, in this aspect it does not disappoint.

As well as the soundtrack does not disappoint, as usual since the first film, Guardians of the Galaxy has a soundtrack and a really spectacular musical score, which gives an identity to the film, this being a feature that in addition to highlight the moments and situations experienced by the characters, are songs that will make us remember those moments for a long time. One aspect that disappointed me a little was the whole issue of Adam Warlock, it is known that in the comics in one of the strongest characters of Marvel, even using the Infinity Gems without any problem, but in this movie he was given a very secondary role which is only to annoy a little and to save Quill at the end of it, besides, being a "being" which had been born in a short time, he is a kind of "child" who is just learning how to do things and really did not have much impact on the events of the film, beyond having hurt Rocket and save Quill at the end, as I said, in the end this character did not do much, I hope that in future films he has a much more active role and we can see that facet more similar to the comics.

The reason for the separation of certain members of the Guardians is fine, it makes some sense, Gamora is no longer the same Gamora, so she has other things to do with her life, so she is not part of the group. Mantis going off to find meaning in her life and looking for what she really wants to do makes sense being a character who for much of her life was under someone's orders. Nebula and Drax staying in "Knowhere", in order to help that "planet" to prosper along with its inhabitants, as well as helping the rescued children, is a conclusion that makes sense and is not bad, and although the actor Dave Bautista (Drax) said he would not play that character anymore, I do not think that is something conclusive and I'm sure he will do it again, although perhaps in several years as a cameo. Only two members of the original group remained which were: Rocket and Groot, being Rocket the leader of the group, since Quill decided to return to planet Earth to visit his return, however, after the final credits it is revealed that his character will return so it is a temporary goodbye.

As a closing of characters this movie was really quite good, with good music, action moments and emotional moments, it is without a doubt a great ending for one of the best movies of all Marvel, although in the future these characters will return, this ending is more than worthy for them.

Desde Endgame mi emoción por Marvel ha bajado una enormidad, son pocos o casi ninguno los productos que me han llamado la atención por ver luego de ese final, algunos proyectos se veían interesantes pero al final no fueron la gran cosa, pero uno de esos proyectos de los cuales considero que desde su primera película, hasta la “ultima” ha sido lo mejor de todo lo que Marvel ha hecho es “Guardianes de la Galaxia”, un grupo de inadaptados que se unieron para salvar a la galaxia ha tenido hace poco su buen merecido “final”, el cual, no es para nada un final de los personajes, porque es más que seguro que volverán, pero las circunstancias de ese regreso aun no están claras.

Cuando se anunció que esta seria le última película de los Guardianes de Galaxia mucha gente esperaba que ellos iban a morir en esta película o al menos varios integrantes de su grupo y luego de la salida del tráiler esas teorías se intensificaron aún más, ya que mostraban escenas las cuales daban a entender que algunos personajes iban a morir, pero al final no fue lo fue y tan solo tuvieron una despedida de algunos de los integrantes de este grupo de salvadores. Si no me equivoco, el actor y antiguo luchador Dave Bautista había anunciado que esta sería su última película interpretando a Drax, por lo que por lógica se esperaba que este sería el personaje que iba a morir en esta película, pero al final a este personaje le dieron un “final” y propósito bastante alegre, el cual es en el cuidado de un grupo de niños, los cuales fueron experimentos del villano de esta película, ya que esta película está centrada en el creador de Rocket, el cual, es un científico que busca crear la sociedad perfecta con individuos hechos a la perfección y todo esto lo quiere lograr a toda costa, incluso usando métodos de nula moral.

Gran parte de la película está enfocada en Rocket, el cual luego de recibir un ataque de Warlock este queda tan gravemente herido que los medios tradicionales de curación no sirven en él (medio tradicionales según Los Guardianes de la Galaxia) ya que dentro de sí tiene una especie de apartado que le inhabilita el uso de ese medio de curación, es por eso que los Guardianes no tienen más opción que buscar al creador de Rocket, por lo tanto, durante gran parte de la película Rocket no hace acto de presencia como tal, pero si podemos ver esporádicamente momentos de su pasado, el cual, es de lo más triste de la película.

Como es costumbre estas películas estan llena de humor, un humor que ha estado muy presente desde la primera y la verdad es que es un humor bastante bueno y no del tipo de humor del que Marvel siempre llena en sus otros proyectos, el cual en la mayoría de los casos es bastante tonto y no encaja muy bien con las distintas situaciones. Sin embargo, gracias a James Guns, el humor en esta tercera entrega es bastante bueno, situacional y que encaja muy bien tanto con la situación como con los personajes, en este aspecto no decepciona.

Así como tampoco decepciona la banda sonora utilizada, ya que también como es costumbre desde la primera película, Guardianes de la Galaxia cuenta con una banda sonora y un reportorio musical realmente espectacular, lo cual le da una identidad propia a la película, siendo esta una característica que además de hacer destacar los momentos y situaciones vividas por los personajes, son canciones que nos harán recordar aquellos momentos por mucho tiempo. Un aspecto que me decepciono un poco fue todo el asunto de Adam Warlock, se sabe que en los comics en uno de los personajes más fuertes de Marvel, incluso usando las Gemas del Infinito sin ningún problema, pero en esta película le dieron un rol muy secundario el cual está solo para molestar un poco y para salvar a Quill al final de la misma, además, de que al ser un “ser” el cual había nacido en poco tiempo, es una especie de “niño” que apenas está aprendiendo como hacer las cosas y que realmente no tuvo tanto impacto en los acontecimientos de la película, mas allá de haber lastimado a Rocket y salvar a Quill al final, como ya había dicho, al final este personaje no hizo mucho, espero que en próximas películas tenga un rol mucho más activo y que podamos ver esa faceta más parecida a los comics.

El motivo de la separación de ciertos miembros de los Guardianes está bien, tiene cierto sentido, Gamora ya no es la misma Gamora, por lo que tiene otras cosas que hacer con su vida, por lo que no forma parte del grupo. Mantis al irse a buscar el significado de su vida y el buscar lo que realmente quiere hacer tiene sentido al ser un personaje que durante gran parte de su vida estuvo bajo las ordenes de alguien. Nebula y Drax quedándose en “Knowhere”, para así ayudar a ese “planeta” a prosperar junto a sus habitantes, así como también ayudar a los niños rescatados, es una conclusión que tiene sentido y no está mal, además a pesar de que el actor Dave Bautista (Drax) dijo que no interpretaría más a ese personaje, no creo que eso sea algo conclusivo y estoy seguro que lo volverá a hacer, aunque quizás dentro de varios años como un cameo. Tan solo dos integrantes del grupo original permanecieron los cuales fueron: Rocket y Groot, siendo Rocket el ahora líder del grupo, ya que Quill decidió volver al planeta tierra para visitar a su vuelvo, sin embargo, luego de los créditos finales se revela que su personaje volverá por lo que es un adiós temporal.

Como cierre de personajes esta película realmente estuvo bastante buena, con buena música, momentos de acción y momentos emotivos, es un sin duda un gran final para una de las mejores películas de todo Marvel, aunque en un futuro estos personajes volverán, este final es más que digno para ellos.
