Hola, queridos cinéfilos. Bienvenidos a esta nueva entrega de BLs que debe ver. Hoy les traigo un lindo y súper cliche llamado Hidden agenda, la serie que está arrasando en Netflix.

Resumen

Se trata de una adaptación de la novela del mismo nombre de la autora Nong Nong, que narra las peripecias de Zo, un estudiante universitario que está enamorado de Nita, una chica popular y guapa. Para conquistarla, Zo decide pedirle consejos a Joke, el ex-novio de Nita, que resulta ser un músico famoso y atractivo. Lo que Zo no sabe es que Joke también siente algo por él, y que entre ellos se va a desatar una química irresistible.

La Tensión es increíble

Lo Bueno

La serie tiene 12 episodios de unos 48 minutos cada uno, y está protagonizada por Dunk y Joong, dos actores que debutaron en este proyecto y que han demostrado tener mucho talento y carisma. Su química en pantalla es innegable, y sus escenas juntos son divertidas, tiernas y emocionantes.

Esta llena de clichés adolescentes básicos, donde el chico A le pide ayuda al chico B para algo. No hay un trasfondo mayor entre los protagonistas, pero sí el pasado de cada uno, que les aporta un toque de humanidad que te hace identificarte con ellos. Eso, para mí, le da un plus y la diferencia de las demás.

Cómo me vas a decir que no te gusta Joke

Además, la serie cuenta con un elenco de personajes secundarios que aportan frescura y variedad a la trama, como Jeng, el amigo de Zo, Pat, el primo mayor de Joke que tienen una relación escondida, pues Pat no quiere decirle a sus amigos que sale con un chico. También tenemos a Wave y Trin, dos compañeros de clase de Zo que son el alivio cómico de la série.

Lo Malo

Estoy acostumbrada a que en este tipo de series los problemas, ya sean engaños o malentendidos, se resuelvan rápido y sin mucha justificación. Eso no me molesta, pero lo que me molestó de esta serie fueron las muchas subtramas paralelas que no aportaban nada. Por ejemplo, la trama de Zo yendo al servicio militar en un capítulo y al siguiente capítulo estaban de viaje a casa de Joke. O la de la abuela enferma de Joke, donde todos llegan al hospital y al capítulo siguiente ya están todos en la competencia de debate. ¿Para qué me muestran todo eso si no tiene ningún impacto en la trama principal, en el desarrollo de la serie o de los personajes? No lo pude soportar.

Escenas favoritas

De este cliché yo rescató una escena que te llega al alma y si no estabas enamorado de Joke pues termina de encantarte. Es la escena del viaje donde por un descuido Zo no puede ver el atardecer, que es el propósito principal del viaje, y Joke lo lleva al lugar y con su teléfono recrea el atardecer. No necesite más para decir, este hombre vale la pena.

Conclusión

Hidden agenda es una serie que te enganchará desde el primer capítulo, y que te hará reír y suspirar con las aventuras y desventuras de Zo y Joke. Si te gustan las series románticas con un toque de comedia y drama, no dudes en darle una oportunidad a esta joya del género BL. Te aseguro que no te arrepentirás. Le doy un 6/10 por las tramas que no llegan a ningún lado.

Summary

It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by the author Nong Nong, which narrates the adventures of Zo, a university student who is in love with Nita, a popular and beautiful girl. To win her over, Zo decides to ask Joke, Nita's ex-boyfriend, who turns out to be a famous and attractive musician, for advice. What Zo doesn't know is that Joke also has feelings for him, and that an irresistible chemistry is going to be unleashed between them.

The good

The series has 12 episodes of about 48 minutes each, and stars Dunk and Joong, two actors who debuted in this project and who have proven to have a lot of talent and charisma. Their on-screen chemistry is undeniable, and their scenes together are fun, tender, and exciting.

It's full of basic teenage clichés, where Boy A asks Boy B for help with something. There is no major background between the protagonists, but there is the past of each one, which gives them a touch of humanity that makes you identify with them. That, for me, gives it a plus and differentiates it from the others.

How are you going to tell me that you don't like Joke

In addition, the series has a cast of secondary characters who bring freshness and variety to the plot, such as Jeng, Zo's friend, Pat, Joke's older cousin who have a hidden relationship, since Pat does not want to tell his friends that she goes out with a boy. We also have Wave and Trin, two of Zo's classmates who are the comic relief of the series.

The bad

I am used to the fact that in this type of series, problems, whether deception or misunderstandings, are resolved quickly and without much justification. That doesn't bother me, but what bothered me about this series were the many parallel subplots that didn't contribute anything. For example, the plot of Zo going to military service in one chapter and the next chapter they were on a trip to Joke's house. Or the one about Joke's sick grandmother, where everyone arrives at the hospital and the next episode they are all in the debate competition. Why show me all that if it has no impact on the main plot, on the development of the series or the characters? I couldn't stand it.

Favorite scenes

From this cliché I rescued a scene that touches your soul and if you weren't in love with Joke, you'll end up loving it. It is the trip scene where, due to an oversight, Zo cannot see the sunset, which is the main purpose of the trip, and Joke takes him to the place and recreates the sunset with his phone. Don't need more to say, this man is worth it.

Conclusion

Hidden agenda is a series that will hook you from the first chapter, and that will make you laugh and sigh with the adventures and misadventures of Zo and Joke. If you like romantic series with a touch of comedy and drama, don't hesitate to give this gem of the BL genre a chance. I assure you will not regret. I give it a 6/10 for plots that go nowhere.
