Hola, queridos cinéfilos. Hoy les traigo una temática un poco diferente de lo usual, pues estuve viendo con mis primos las series de Marvel. No me causaron mucha emoción, pues me parecieron genéricas y no muy bien hechas (salvo Loki, que es otro nivel). Pero hubo una serie que me hizo volver a creer que Disney tiene futuro.

Ahora les pregunto ¿Qué pasaría si el Capitán América fuera una mujer? ¿Qué pasaría si T’Challa fuera Star-Lord? ¿Qué pasaría si los Vengadores fueran zombis? Estas son algunas de las preguntas que plantea la serie What if?? De Marvel, es la serie más loca y divertida de Marvel que explora las infinitas posibilidades del multiverso de Marvel.

Un pequeño cambio y todo es diferente

La serie está basada en los cómics del mismo nombre, que se publicaron por primera vez en 1977 y que presentaban historias alternativas de los personajes y eventos más conocidos de Marvel. Está compuesta por nueve episodios, cada uno centrado en un escenario diferente que cambia el curso de la historia de Marvel.

Es una delicia para los fans de Marvel, ya que ofrece una nueva perspectiva sobre los personajes y las tramas que ya conocemos y amamos. La serie también cuenta con las voces de muchos de los actores originales de las películas de Marvel, lo que le da más autenticidad y emoción a las historias.

Originales de What if..?

La serie es divertida, dinámica y sorprendente, ya que no se limita a seguir las reglas establecidas por el canon del UCM. La serie se atreve a explorar temas oscuros, cómicos y dramáticos, sin perder el espíritu y el humor característicos de las películas. La serie también tiene un narrador muy especial: el Vigilante, un ser cósmico que observa todas las realidades posibles, pero que no puede interferir en ellas.

De esta maravilla de serie destacó dos historias. La de Doctor Strange que es una de las más trágicas y emotivas, ya que muestra cómo el hechicero supremo se obsesiona con cambiar el destino de su amada Christine y termina destruyendo su universo. Solo el Vigilante, el narrador omnisciente de la serie, puede ver su sufrimiento y hablar con él, aunque no puede interferir. Sin embargo, en el último episodio, el Vigilante recluta al Doctor Strange corrompido para formar un equipo de héroes de diferentes universos y enfrentarse a la amenaza de Ultron con las gemas del infinito.

Amo al Dark Strange

La otra es la de Marvel Zombies que es una adaptación libre del cómic del mismo nombre, creado por Robert Kirkman y Sean Phillips. En este universo, un virus zombi infecta a los superhéroes y los convierte en monstruos hambrientos de carne humana. Solo unos pocos sobrevivientes intentan escapar del planeta, pero se encuentran con que la plaga se ha extendido por todo el cosmos. Es una historia muy sangrienta y divertida, que parodia las películas de Marvel y muestra el lado más oscuro de los personajes. Y sí, ver morir a Tony Stark por tercera vez es muy duro.

Aun me duele, pero la superioridad estética

La serie What if?? es una invitación a imaginar escenarios sorprendentes de nuestros héroes favoritos. Es una serie que nos muestra que no hay una sola forma de contar una historia, sino que hay muchas posibilidades y consecuencias. Es una serie que nos hace preguntarnos: ¿qué pasaría si…?

Hello, dear movie buffs. Today I bring you a theme a little different than usual, because I was watching the Marvel series with my cousins. They didn't cause me much emotion, because they seemed generic and not very well done (except for Loki, which is another level). But there was a series that made me believe again that Disney has a future.

Now I ask you, what would happen if Captain America were a woman? What if T'Challa was Star-Lord? What if the Avengers were zombies? These are some of the questions raised by the series What if?? From Marvel, it's Marvel's craziest and funniest series that explores the infinite possibilities of the Marvel multiverse.

A small change and everything is different

The series is based on the comics of the same name, which were first published in 1977 and featured alternate stories of Marvel's best-known characters and events. It is made up of nine episodes, each focused on a different scenario that changes the course of Marvel history.

It's a delight for Marvel fans, offering a new perspective on the characters and plots we already know and love. The series also features the voices of many of the original actors from the Marvel films, giving more authenticity and emotion to the stories.

Originals from What if..?

The series is fun, dynamic and surprising, as it does not simply follow the rules established by the MCU canon. The series dares to explore dark, comedic and dramatic themes, without losing the characteristic spirit and humor of the films. The series also has a very special narrator: the Watcher, a cosmic being who observes all possible realities, but cannot interfere with them.

Two stories stood out from this wonderful series. That of Doctor Strange, which is one of the most tragic and emotional, as it shows how the supreme sorcerer becomes obsessed with changing the destiny of his beloved Christine and ends up destroying her universe. Only the Watcher, the omniscient narrator of the series, can see his suffering and speak to him, although he cannot interfere. However, in the latest episode, the Watcher recruits the corrupted Doctor Strange to form a team of heroes from different universes and confront the threat of Ultron with the Infinity Stones.

I love Dark Strange

The other is Marvel Zombies, which is a free adaptation of the comic of the same name, created by Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips. In this universe, a zombie virus infects superheroes and turns them into monsters hungry for human flesh. Only a few survivors try to escape the planet, but they find that the plague has spread throughout the cosmos. It is a very bloody and fun story, which parodies Marvel movies and shows the darker side of the characters. And yes, seeing Tony Stark die for the third time is very hard.

It still hurts, but the aesthetic superiority

The series What if?? It is an invitation to imagine surprising scenarios for our favorite heroes. It is a series that shows us that there is not only one way to tell a story, but that there are many possibilities and consequences. It is a series that makes us wonder: what would happen if...?
