Los deportes, tan antiguos y tan ligados a la vida del hombre ha venido a través de la historia ocupando todos los ámbitos de su entorno social hasta llegar a la pantalla grande donde se cuentan las proezas e historias vinculadas al mismo, haciéndonos ver como superhombres y seres invencibles ante las más grandes adversidades terminando al final como fuentes de inspiración y motivación personal para superar los obstáculos que a diario se nos presentan.

Seguramente ya habrán visto en la red social YOUtuber a unos hermanos Rusos que llegaron hace algunos años a los Estados Unidos realizando un show en las calles donde ofrecían dinero a quien les venciera en las famosas "vencidas" o juego de pulso como también se le conoce. Nadie en ese momento pudo torcer el brazo del chico con cara de niño que exhibía un poder descomunal ante hombres de tallas superiores a él. La película

Estrenada en el año 1987 y protagonizada por Silverster Stallone "Yo, el Halcón" narra la historia de un camionero que luego de fallecer su esposa comienza una carrera contra el tiempo y el destino por superarse económicamente para conseguir la custodia de su único hijo quien estaba al cuidado de sus suegros que aparecen en el film como una familia rica e influyente en la sociedad.

Él y su hijo mantiene comunicación constante y este ( Silverster Stallone ) le cuenta de sus planes de competir en el deporte de las "vencidas" para ganarse e
además del respeto de sus suegros un premio gordo y un nuevo camión para ya independizarse financieramente. En el film se observa como "el Halcón" entrenaba con pesas durante su trabajo dentro dl camión.

La condición física de los participantes de la película resalta en su estructura física, especialmente del protagonista y de los diferentes competidores a los que tiene que enfrentar en el desarrollo del film, como se sabe este deporte está federado en la mayoría de los paises y se practica sobre una mesa especial que la podemos observar durante el rodaje, están los árbitros y se nos muestra también las lesiones a las que los deportistas están expuestos al medir fuerzas durante una competencia que no tiene límite de tiempo sino de resistencia, vence el que logre llevar el brazo de su contendiente a la almohadilla que está en la mesa.

Bueno, básicamente la película es demostrar que en torno a las vencidas existe toda una competencia y una {elite de deportistas de la disciplina que generalmente no son ningunos modelos a seguir ya que a pesar de ser corpulentos o muy fuertes visten ropas de trabajadores y se dejan crecer las barbas, consumen cervezas y comida chatarra y demás... al final Lincon Hawk ( Stallone ) tras una dura y reñida lucha de brazos ya cansado vence al #1 de la disciplina quedándose con el camión , el dinero y la custodia de su hijo quien también tiene su oportunidad en el film de torcer un brazo a un chico presumido.
