A great movie, but I was a little disappointed

Let's see, I'm re-writing this post because I had already finished writing it and it turns out that my son accidentally deleted it, I don't know how, but he did... Anyway, today I was watching this movie because I couldn't stand it, here In my area it has not yet been released in the cinema so thanks to the pirate pages I was able to see it, I will tell you what I thought and some of the most important points, always remembering that this is a film based on true events and that it could easily It must have been the best of the year, but for me at least it wasn't.

Very good, the movie starts very strong, here they didn't expect anything at all, all at once hahaha. The beginning was very funny, it began with a great exorcism of a boy, but they did it in a very peculiar way, I still don't know if it's true or if that method of doing it still exists, but it's curious that the priest encouraged the devil to possess a pig, telling him that he can't do it because he is very weak, obviously the demon did it and when possessing it another priest shot the pig in the head, and that's how they finished off that demon, I have no idea if that works or It's cinema at its best, I just know it was pretty cool to watch.

Let's see, let's talk about the after, it starts out a bit murky, we have Father Gabriele very busy and with many things to do, we denote a rather humorous but serious protagonist at the same time, I also noticed that he has many problems with the Vatican, let's remember that he is the main Exorcist of the Vatican, but still he has many bosses, bishops who send him and he gets upset haha. Anyway, then many things happen together that I didn't really understand, but the good part comes now, they show the typical scene where a family moves to a new house that hides its darkest secrets, and sadly this family is the one that absorbs everything that hidden evil

Honestly, I've seen this kind of "way" to start a horror movie, I've seen it a long time and I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just that it's quite common haha. Especially seeing him in ghost movies or exorcisms. Well, maybe that's what happened, let's remember that this movie is based on real events hehe. By the way, I would like to clarify that I don't know if the story is like that or not, but what I can say is that it happened, and it wasn't that long ago. I can only imagine how someone could have experienced something like this or similar and not have shit on themselves XD.

The plot in general is cool, but now I come with my criticism, fuck. I totally hated the exaggeration in the movie, many times I saw the priests fly away, the relatives fly away, I mean, let's be clear, something like that I doubt would happen in real life, and if it did happen where the hell is the video XD. I mean, I saw that they exaggerated a lot with the special effects, there were quite a few realistic scenes, yes, but there were also several that, for example, I felt very angry watching them, I'm the type of person who doesn't enjoy a movie that looks so fake, all for just that, the fact that it looks fake makes me sick XD. In the end, it was the scene that I hated the most, I won't say how the movie ends, I don't care whether it's good or bad, what I do care about is the obvious abuse of special effects, damn, it was something very surreal.

Still, the movie is not full of things like that either, it has some scenes that you might hate, but the rest of the scenes will be very cool for you. For me it was scary, it's not the scariest I've seen, but it is quite scary, especially if the lights are off. It doesn't have as many screamers as you think, it's more based on psychological fear. In fact, it is very well done. Something incredible for me was the makeup of the possessed, it was simply a work of art, I love to see the deterioration of the exorcism and how the devil slowly destroys the body, for me it was incredible. It reminded me a lot of Emily Rose's Exorcism, but, unfortunately, I couldn't get over it hehe.

Without a doubt, Russell Crowe was spectacular to watch, he's a Hollywood great to me, but in this role, he really showed who he really is. I really liked it, I wouldn't say it's the best in the movie, but 99% of the acting was 100%. I can also say that Father Esquibel played a great role, I don't know the boy's name but it was a great performance. In fact, I thought he was going to die as always happens, weak priests die and the "strong" have to come to kill the demon, but it wasn't like that XD. The boy Henry did a very good performance, it's incredible to see such a young child doing such a good gestural performance, the gift that life gives them is incredible.

The setting of the entire set was brutal, it transported you to Italy in the demonic times, and everything was very good. That was my humble opinion of the movie, I highly recommend it, and if you completely ignore everything I said "bad" about the movie, I'm sure you'll love it. Thank you for reading!

Una gran película, pero me decepcionó un poco

A ver, estoy re-escribiendo este post porque ya lo había terminado de escribir y resulta ser que mi hijo accidentalmente lo borró, no sé como, pero lo hizo... En fin, hoy esta película la estuve viendo porque no aguantaba, aquí en mi zona aún no la han estrenado en el cine así que gracias a las páginas piratas pude verla, les diré que tal me pareció y algunos de los puntos mas importantes, recordando siempre que esto es una película basada en hechos reales y que fácilmente pudo haber sido de lo mejor del año, pero para mi al menos no lo fué.

Muy bien, la película comienza muy fuerte, aquí no esperaron absolutamente nada, todo de una vez hahaha. Estuvo muy divertido el comienzo, empezó con un gran exorcismo a un chico, pero lo hicieron de una manera muy peculiar, aún no sé si sea cierto o si aún exista ese método de hacerlo, pero es curioso que el sacerdote incitó al demonio a poseer un cerdo, diciéndolo que no puede hacerlo porque es muy débil, obvio el demonio lo hizo y al poseerlo otro sacerdote le disparó al cerdo en la cabeza, y así es como acabaron con ese demonio, no tengo ni la menor idea si eso funciona o es cine en su mayor expresión, sólo sé que fue algo bastante genial verlo.

A ver, hablemos del después, empieza algo turbia, tenemos al Padre Gabriele muy atareado y con muchas cosas por hacer, denotamos a un protagonista bastante humorista pero serio a la vez, también noté que tiene bastantes problemas con el Vaticano, recordemos que el es el Exorcista principal del Vaticano, pero aún así tiene muchos jefes, obispos que lo mandan y el se molesta haha. En fin, luego pasan muchas cosas juntas que yo realmente no entendí, pero lo bueno viene ahora, pasan la típica escena en dónde una familia se muda a una nueva casa que esconde sus secretos más oscuros, y tristemente esta familia es la que absorbe todo ese mal oculto.

Sinceramente he visto este tipo de "maneras" de empezar una película de terror, la he visto mucho tiempo seguido y no digo que sea algo malo, simplemente que es bastante común haha. Sobretodo verlo en películas de fantasmas o exorcismos. Bueno, tal vez así fue lo que pasó, recordemos que esta película es basada en hechos reales hehe. Por cierto, me gustaría aclarar que desconozoco si la historia es así o no, pero lo que si puedo decir es que pasó, y no hace tanto tiempo. Yo solo puedo imaginar como alguien pudo haber vivido algo así o similar y no haberse cagado encima XD.

La trama en general está cool, pero ahora vengo con mi crítica, fuck. Odié totalmente la exageración en la película, muchas veces veía a los sacerdotes salir volando, a los familiares salir volando por ahí, o sea, seamos claros, algo así dudo que pase en la vida real y si ocurriese dónde mierda esta el video XD. O sea, vi que exageraron mucho con los efectos especiales, hubo bastantes escenas realistas, sí, pero también hubo varias que por ejemplo, yo sentía mucha rabia de verlas, soy el tipo de personas que no disfruta una película que se vea tan falsa, todo por justo eso, el que se vea falsa me pone mal XD. Al final fue la escena que más odié, no diré como termina la película, sea bien o mal no me importa, lo que si me importa es el obvio abuso de efectos especiales, joder, era algo muy surrealista.

Aún así la película tampoco esta repleta de cosas así, tiene algunas escenas que tal vez odiarás, pero el resto de las escenas serán muy cool para ti. Para mi si dió miedo, no es la más tenebrosa que he visto, pero si da bastante terror, sobretodo si la vez con las luces apagadas. No cuenta con tantos screamers como piensan, es más basada al miedo psicológico. Que de hecho, esta muy bien logrado. Algo increíble para mi fue el maquillaje de los poseídos, fue simplemente una obra de arte, me encanta ver el deterioro de el exorcismo y cómo el demonio va destruyendo el cuerpo lentamente, para mi estuvo increíble. Me recordó bastante al Exorcismo de Emily Rose, pero, no pudo superarlo lamentablemente hehe.

Sin lugar a dudas Russell Crowe fue espectácular verlo actuar, para mi es un grande de Hollywood, pero en este papel lució bastante quién es realmente. A mi me gustó mucho, no diría que es el mejor de la película pero el 99% de la actuación fue al 100%. También puedo decir que el Padre Esquibel hizo un gran papel, el nombre del chico lo desconozco pero fue una gran actuación. De hecho, pensé que el iba a morir como siempre pasa, los sacerdotes débiles mueren y tienen que venir los "fuertes" para poder acabar con el demonio, pero no fue así XD. El chico Henry hizo muy buena actuación, es increíble ver un niño tan pequeño haciendo tan buena actuación gestual, es increíble el don que la vida les otorga.

La ambientación de todo el set fue brutal, te transportaba a Italia en las épocas demoníacas, muy bueno todo. Esa fue mi humilde opinión de la película, la recomiendo bastante, y si obvias por completo todo lo que dije "malo" acerca de la película, estoy seguro que te encantará. Gracias por leer!
