Registrando en el archivo fílmico nacional - Registering in the national film archive(ESP/ENG)

Hola amigos de la comunidad de Bellas Artes, hace poco @mundomanaure y yo estuvimos registrando para la institución donde trabajamos un material bastante interesante.

Hello friends of the Fine Arts community, recently @mundomanaure and I were recording for the institution where we work a very interesting material.

En YVKE Mundial siempre intentamos cumplir con la línea de interés cultural y artístico, nos pareció de vital importancia dar visibilidad al papel fundamental que desempeña la Fundación Cinemateca Nacional en la preservación y difusión de nuestro patrimonio cultural.

In YVKE Mundial we always try to comply with the line of cultural and artistic interest, we felt it was of vital importance to give visibility to the fundamental role played by the National Cinematheque Foundation in the preservation and dissemination of our cultural heritage.

De inmediato nos pusimos en contacto con Vladimir Sosa quien a parte de ser presidente de la Cinemateca es docente de UNEARTE, razón por la que nos conocemos y hay una buena comunicación. Solicitamos una entrevista a su persona en representación de la cinemateca para saber cuál es la proyección de la casa del cine en este 2025 y cuales son los planes de formación y difusión que están organizando. Por supuesto aceptó ésta invitación y comenzamos con el trámite de la permisológia.

We immediately got in touch with Vladimir Sosa, who besides being president of the Cinemateca is a professor at UNEARTE, which is why we know each other and there is good communication. We requested an interview with him on behalf of the Cinemateca to know what is the projection of the house of cinema in this 2025 and what are the training and dissemination plans that are being organized. Of course he accepted this invitation and we started with the permit process.

Grabamos su entrevista en la sala de Cine MBA ubicada en el museo de Bellas Artes,) y luego grabamos tomas de apoyo en la salsa de Cine Margot Benacerraf y el Archivo fílmico de la Cinemateca Nacional, ara tramitar todos estos permisos estuvimos en contacto con Kimberly Narváez Proaño, coordinadora de comunicaciones de la Cinemateca.

We recorded her interview in the MBA Film Room (located in the Fine Arts Museum) and then we recorded support shots in the Margot Benacerraf Film Archive and the National Cinematheque Film Archive. To process all these permissions we were in contact with Kimberly Narváez Proaño, communications coordinator of the Cinematheque.

Me agradó mucho ir al archivo fílmico, allí me encontré con pasillo repletos de rollos de película 35mm, de hecho para poder ingresar tuve que usar tapa bocas debido a los químicos en el lugar, pero fue bastante impresionante ver cómo almacenan la memoria fílmica de muestro país y parte de Latinoamérica. También pude compartir con un técnico que ese día había ido para reparar una moviola, máquina que se usaba para la edición de películas, aún hay máquinas de estás en el archivo fílmico, manuales y mecánicas, sin duda toda esta experiencia fue bastante nutritiva.

I was very pleased to go to the film archive, there I found a corridor full of 35mm film reels, in fact to enter I had to use mouth covers due to the chemicals in the place, but it was quite impressive to see how they store the film memory of our country and part of Latin America. I was also able to share with a technician who that day had gone to repair a moviola, a machine that was used for film editing, there are still manual and mechanical machines in the film archive, without a doubt this whole experience was quite nourishing.
