This time I will share with you my review of this animated movie that came out last year and became very popular for its plot and how being a children's movie it carries such a strong message as it is the mourning of a separation, either of a friendship or a romance. I finally saw it and I can say that I recommend it faithfully but without a doubt it is a movie that will leave you crying because of its ending. En esta ocasión les compartiré mi reseña de esta película animada que salió el año pasado y se hizo muy popular por su trama y por como al ser una película infantil carga con un mensaje tan fuerte como lo es el duelo de una separación, ya sea de una amistad o de un romance. Finalmente la vi y puedo decir que la recomiendo fielmente pero sin duda es una película que te dejará llorando por su final. Así que sin más que decir, espero les guste y los invito a leerme! 🎬✨

Un día cansado de su soledad decide construir un robot para tener un amigo a su lado, su amistad crece y ambos se vuelven inseparables y viven increíbles aventuras hasta que en una visita a la playa perro no puede llevarse a robot a casa así que decide dejarlo para encontrar más formas de llevárselo sin embargo suceden miles de inconvenientes que harán que su amistad se ponga a prueba. Podrán volver a reencontrarse?

I had a little idea of what this movie was about thanks to all the fame it got last year being nominated for so many big awards and I also knew that it had won many awards and was being praised by critics and audiences, today I decided to give it a chance and watch it and from the beginning I fell in love with the animation, the shots of all the places and the characteristic designs of the characters caught me completely and another thing that surprised me, in a pleasant way, was the fact that the film has no dialogues, it only has sounds, this was something that seemed to me an interesting idea but that helped a lot to the construction of the narrative of the story of both characters since no words were needed to tell us the incredible story that both of them had. I loved the connection of the robot and the dog since from the beginning both complemented each other and little by little they were learning things from each other, I knew that since the dog built the robot that my chicken heart was going to cry for the end of that movie and so it was.

Animations have a very powerful card with which they always play and it is that of expectations, everyone when watching an animated film tends to think that perhaps it will be mostly aimed at a child audience and that it will connect more with the little ones than with adults but it is not so, children's films tend to use that expectation to create a narrative and a story that appeals to the little ones but that in turn conquers the hearts of the older ones, after all we never stop being children and we will always be interested in an animated film. This film has the peculiarity that plays with the prediction of the viewer where we think we know how it will end but we really have no idea what the outcome will be and makes us go through situations that we assimilate with moments in real life, the idea of a separation whether it is a friendship or a romantic one is something very painful and there are always two versions of that situation in which one of them tries to continue with his life and the other one just waits for the reunion, it is something that is expressed in such a beautiful way in this film because it makes us connect immediately with it regardless of the situation we have lived.

Tenía una pequeña idea de lo que trataba está película gracias a toda la fama que obtuvo el año pasado al estar nominada en tantos premios grandes y también sabía que se había llevado bastantes premios y estaba siendo alabada por la crítica y el público, hoy decidí darle la oportunidad y verla y desde el inicio quede enamorada de la animación, los planos de todos los lugares y los diseños característicos de los personajes me atraparon por completo y otra cosa que me sorprendió, de manera agradable, fue el hecho de que la película no cuenta con diálogos es decir solo tiene sonidos, esto fue algo que me pareció una idea interesante pero que ayudo muchísimo a la construcción de la narrativa de la historia de ambos personajes ya que no se necesitaron de palabras para poder contarnos la increíble historia que tenían ambos. Me encantó la conexión de el robot y el perro ya que desde un inicio ambos se complementaron y poco a poco iban aprendiendo cosas de ambos, sabía que desde que el perro construyó al robot que mi corazón de pollo iba a llorar por el final de esa película y así fue.

Las animaciones tienen una carta muy poderosa con la que siempre juegan y es la de las expectativas, todo el mundo al ver una película animada tiende a pensar que quizás estará mayormente dirigida para un público infantil y que conectará más con los más pequeños que con los adultos pero no es así, las películas infantiles tienden a usar esa expectativa para crear una narrativa y una historia que atraiga a los más pequeños pero que a su vez conquiste el corazón de los más grandes, después de todo nunca dejamos de ser niños y siempre nos interesará alguna película animada. Está película tiene la peculiaridad que juega con la predicción de el espectador en donde creemos que sabemos cómo terminará pero realmente no tenemos ni idea de cuál será su desenlace y nos hace pasar por situaciones que asimilamos con momentos en la vida real, la idea de una separación ya sea de una amistad o romántica es algo muy doloroso y siempre quedan dos versiones de esa situación en las que uno de ellos intenta continuar con su vida y en la que el otro solo espera al reencuentro, es algo que es expresado de una manera tan bonita en esta película porque nos hace conectar inmediatamente con ella independientemente de la situación que hayamos vivido.

The story has an exceptional development without the need of dialogues in it, this resource makes us connect even more with its characters and their emotions because we ourselves create the development with our ideas about what will come while watching it. We see the representation of different types of love and that in turn the same film tells us that happiness and love can be found more than once in life, it gives us a reflection quite raw and true but from the side of learning where that person who left us not only left us physically or sentimentally but left us with endless good memories to treasure, it is a reality that we can not find that same happiness again but it is the spark that will keep us standing to start again and go discovering other places where to get a new happiness.

I sympathized a lot with the robot and the dog but in my case I did it more with the robot because despite all the situations I have lived through I have very present those memories of moments of extreme happiness and although both somehow managed to accept that happiness could have it in other places, there were still memories of both, of all their moments together and everything they shared and were happy accepting that reality. It is a very deep reflection because there are situations in our lives where we think that we will never again be as happy as we were with that friendship or that couple but the reality is that we are only attached to a moment and those memories instead of seeing them as something that is far away to achieve we must see them as a light of hope knowing that at any time in our lives we will be even happier than at that moment.

La historia tiene un desarrollo excepcional sin la necesidad de los diálogos en ella, este recurso hace que conectemos aún más con sus personajes y sus emociones porque vamos nosotros mismos creando el desarrollo con nuestras ideas sobre lo que vendrá mientras la vemos. Vemos la representación de diferentes tipos de amor y que a su vez la misma película nos dice que la felicidad y el amor pueden encontrarse más de una vez en la vida, nos da una reflexión bastante cruda y cierta pero desde el lado del aprendizaje en donde esa persona que nos dejó no solo nos dejó física o sentimentalmente sino que nos dejó con un sin fin de buenos recuerdos para atesorar, es una realidad que no podremos encontrar esa misma felicidad de nuevo pero es la chispa que nos mantendrá de pie para poder comenzar de nuevo e ir descubriendo otros lugares en donde conseguir una nueva felicidad.

Simpatice muchísimo con el robot y el perro pero en mi caso lo hice más con el robot ya que a pesar de todas las situaciones que he vivido tengo muy presente esos recuerdos de momentos que me llegaron de extrema felicidad y a pesar de que ambos de algún modo consiguieron aceptar que esa felicidad podían tenerla en otros lugares aún quedaron los recuerdos de ambos, de todos sus momentos juntos y todo lo que compartieron y fueron felices aceptando esa realidad. Es una reflexión muy profunda porque hay situaciones en nuestra vida donde pensamos que no volveremos a ser igual de felices que éramos con esa amistad o esa pareja pero la realidad es que solo nos apegamos a un momento y esos recuerdos en vez de verlos como algo que es muy lejano de conseguir hay que verlos como una luz de esperanza sabiendo que en cualquier momento de nuestras vidas volveremos a ser incluso más felices que en ese momento.

The movie loads an animation that seems simple but makes us pay more attention to the details in it, with this in mind it makes the emotions it conveys to us even stronger and we can feel emotions like loss and nostalgia and in turn it makes us happy and full of emotion making us be on a roller coaster of emotions but in a delicate and soft way in which we are experiencing each of the stages that the characters live through as the movie progresses. Also, the film Robot Dreams is about innocence, first love/significant relationship, how terribly hard and heartbreaking life can be, the circumstances that we do not control, second chances, care and emotional reconstruction that all this ends up being represented in a lonely dog and a robot who are discovering what it is to live. It is a very beautiful film that definitely left me crying for a while but at the end of it all you can see that it is just a reflection of what life is, the reality of relationships and how we are often affected by loneliness, it is a film that seems innocent but that will give you a powerful message and will fill you with hope and will make you see life in a different way.

La película carga una animación que parece simple pero que hace que prestemos más atención a los detalles en ella, con esto en mente hace que las emociones que nos transmite sean aún más fuertes y que podamos sentir emociones como la pérdida y la nostalgia y a su vez nos alegra y nos llena de emoción haciendo que estemos en una montaña rusa de emociones pero de una manera delicada y suave en la que vamos experimentando cada una de las etapas que viven los personajes a medida que avanza la película. También, la película Robot Dreams trata sobre la inocencia, el primer amor/relación significativa, lo terriblemente dura y desgarradora que puede ser la vida, las circunstancias que no controlamos, las segundas oportunidades, los cuidados y la reconstrucción emocional que todo esto termina siendo representado en un perro solitario y un robot quienes van descubriendo lo que es el vivir. Es una película muy hermosa y que definitivamente me dejó llorando un buen rato pero que al final de todo puedes ver que es solo un reflejo de lo que es la vida, la realidad de las relaciones y como nos vemos muchas veces afectados por la soledad, es una película que parece inocente pero que te brindara un mensaje poderoso y te llenara de esperanza y te hará ver la vida de una forma diferente.
