Hello movie lovers in this beautiful community of hive, I hope you are very well today, this time I share with you my review of this movie which I would say was a pioneer in this genre or style of stories in the world of horror movies and since I can remember I always had absolute fear of seeing any of them but now I took advantage of this month of terror to give it a try, I'm talking about Saw, a movie that if it is not known for its bloody plots and complicated traps is known for the characteristic jigsaw doll who is just a mask to hide the identity and intentions of the presenter of these games and before reading this post I ask you, do you want to play a game?. Hola amantes del cine en esta preciosa comunidad de hive, espero esté muy bien el día de hoy, en esta ocasión les comparto mi reseña de esta película la cuál diría que fue pionera en este género o estilo de historias en el mundo de las películas de terror y desde que tengo memoria siempre tuve absoluto miedo de ver alguna de ellas pero ya más grande aproveche este mes del terror para darle una oportunidad, les hablo de Saw, una película que si no es conocida por su tramas sangrientas y sus complicadas trampas es conocida por el característico muñeco jigsaw quien es solo una máscara para ocultar la identidad y las intenciones del presentador de estos juegos y antes de leer este post les pregunto, quieren jugar un juego?. Let's talk a little about this movie, we start finding two guys who for some reason do not remember where they are and also are chained in a shattered bathroom and completely in ruins until the unthinkable happens to turn on the lights can see a corpse in the center of the room and then a voice through a speaker tells them about the game they are about to play, One of them must kill the other in order to survive and get out of that place, the two men named Adam and Lawrence must think quickly to avoid running out of time and in turn a way for both to get out of that place alive but although it seems that both have no idea who the other is, little by little will be revealed a little of their stories and we will see that they have something that relates them.

This horror film has a somewhat reduced cast but thanks to their great talent they managed to stand out in the world of cinema after Saw, we have the main roles of Adam and Lawrence played by Leigh Whannell and Cary Elwes, plus other actors and actresses like Shawnee Smith, Dina Meyer, Danny Glover, Monica Potter, Tobin Bell and Michael Emerson among others who gave life to the characters of this incredible horror film that they did not know would start a long-lasting continuity of films.

Hablemos un poco sobre ésta película, empezamos encontrando dos tipos que por alguna razón no recuerdan dónde se encuentran y además se encuentran encadenados en un baño destrozado y completamente en ruinas hasta que ocurre lo impensable al encender las luces pueden ver un cadáver en el centro de la habitación y luego una voz a través de un parlante les habla sobre el juego que están a punto de jugar, uno de ellos debe matar al otro para poder sobrevivir y salir de ese lugar, los dos hombres llamados Adam y Lawrence deben pensar rápidamente para evitar que se acabe el tiempo y a su vez una forma de que ambos salgan con vida de ese lugar pero aunque pareciera que ambos no tienen idea de quién es el otro poco a poco se irá revelando un poco de sus historias y veremos que tienen algo que los relaciona.

En esta película de género terror cuenta con un reparto un tanto reducido pero que gracias a su gran talento lograron destacar notablemente en el mundo del cine luego de Saw, contamos con los roles principales de Adam y Lawrence interpretados por Leigh Whannell y Cary Elwes, además de otros actores y actrices como Shawnee Smith, Dina Meyer, Danny Glover, Monica Potter, Tobin Bell y Michael Emerson entre otros más quienes dieron vida a los personajes de esta increíble película de terror que no sabían que daría inicio a una longeva continuidad de películas.

It was a controlled rush of emotions as the film is made to develop little by little to give context to the characters and their stories but what I liked the most about it was how they kept information that ends up explaining many things that at first when you see it you don't take it as important but then when that information is revealed you notice how important it is to complete the plot holes. Saw had a controlled development of terror that gradually induces fear and it is not only the fact that the characters are fighting for their lives so that one of them survives but the good work when filming the scenes and the detail of the filters, the dirty scenarios and with a detail that generates the feeling of discomfort and repulsion is what gives the viewer that feeling of immersion, that just by visualizing it you can feel chills, repulsion and even want to vomit and it is a great detail when making a horror movie.

Desde hace muchos años mi idea del terror era solo seres sobrenaturales y monstruos pero el terror psicológico me parecía el extremo dentro del género y aunque actualmente sigo pensando que es lo más extremo que hay ahora lo concidero lo mejor del terror, no es como las apariciones fantasmales, los monstruos acechando o un demente buscando matar personas sino es más como el generar terror a partir de un miedo del subconciente, a partir del dolor fisico y el jugar con la cordura de la persona hasta destruirla desde su propia mente y así es como podría describir la película Saw pero lo que no sabía es que terminaría completamente sorprendida y amando la película de inicio a fin. Fue un subidon controlado de emociones ya que la película está hecha para ir desarrollando poco a poco para dar contexto de los personajes y sus historias pero lo que más me gustó de ella el como se reservaron información que termina de explicar muchas cosas que al principio cuando la ves no le tomas tanta importancia pero que después al revelarse esa información notas lo importante que es para completar los huecos de la trama. Saw tuvo un desarrollo controlado del terror que poco a poco te va induciendo el miedo y no es solo el hecho de que los personajes están peleando por su vida para que uno de ellos sobreviva sino el buen trabajo a la hora de grabar las escenas y el detalle de los filtros, los escenarios sucios y con un detalle que genera la sensación de incomodidad y repulsión es lo que le brinda al espectador esa sensación de inmersión, de que con solo visualizarlo puedes sentir escalofríos, repulsión e incluso ganas de vomitar y es un gran detalle a la hora de hacer una película de terror.

I can also say that I saw some of the trailers and behind the scenes and I was very surprised to learn that it was the first film of director James Wan and which he and his partner Leigh Whannell (who also played Adam) had no idea that it would be one of the pioneering films in the world of horror in terms of blood and psychological horror, a story where the characters are subjected to tests to see how lucky they are in their lives, as happened with the case of Amanda Young who was subjected to these macabre games and was chosen for her extreme drug addiction, she managed to complete the game and get out alive and was one of the witnesses of these games that in the end said that this event saved her life from the world of drugs.

Another thing very much in favor of the plot is the denouement, which for those who have seen this movie I will not reveal but I will say that it was totally surprising and incredible, although it felt like a lot of information being thrown in a short time it was spectacular to discover a little more about the reason for that macabre game in which Adam and Lawrence were subjected, the reason left me perplexed but the end was even more interesting opening a world of possibilities which I will discover as I go watching the other movies.

Una de las cosas que me gustó de Saw fue como se iban desarrollando las escenas, en mayor cantidad estaban las escenas de Adam y Lawrence encerrados en el baño tratando de conseguir un forma de escapar sin tener que matar a nadie y como poco a poco iban resolviendo los acertijos que estaban escondidos dentro de la habitación y como poco a poco esto iba revelando nueva información del otro, el más "misterioso" era Adam pero aún así el doctor Lawrence tenía unos secretos ocultos. También puedo decir que ví algunos de los trailers y el detras de escenas y me sorprendió muchísimo el saber que fue la primera película del director James Wan y la cual el y su compañero Leigh Whannell (quien además interpretó a Adam) no tenían idea de que sería una de las películas pioneras en el mundo del terror en cuanto a sangre y al terror psicológico, una historia en donde los personajes son sometidos a pruebas para poder ver luego lo afortunados que son en sus vidas, así como paso con el caso de Amanda Young quien fue sometida a estos juegos macabros y fue elegida por su extrema adiccion a las drogas, ella logró completar el juego y salir con vida y fue uno de los testigos de estos juegos que al final dijo que ese evento le salvó la vida del mundo de las drogas.

Otra cosa muy a favor de la trama es el desenlace, que para quien lo haya visto está película no revelaré pero diré que fue totalmente sorprendente e increíble, a pesar de que se sintió como un montón de información siendo arrojada en un tiempo corto fue espectacular el descubrir un poco más sobre la razón de ese juego macabro en el que estaban sometidos Adam y Lawrence, la razón me dejó perpleja pero el final fue aún más interesante abriendo un mundo de posibilidades las cuales iré descubriendo a medida que vaya viendo las demás películas.

I overcame a little bit my fear regarding this movie and although I still have a long way to go regarding the union of all the movies and to know more about the story I think it is a great start and opened my interest to know more about it all, I will not stop praising James Wan for his incredible job directing as well as Leigh Whannell who not only stood out for his support in the story and directing the scenes but also showed a talent for acting and stood out for his incredible role as Adam. A story where everything is connected, lives and stories, people and their decisions, all to make a decision, save themselves or kill the other in order to live.

Superé un poco mi miedo con respecto a esta película y aunque aún me falta bastante por recorrer con respecto a la unión de todas las películas y por saber más sobre la historia creo que es un gran comienzo y abrió mi interés por saber más sobre todo ello, no dejaré de alabar a James Wan por su increíble trabajo dirigiendo al igual que con Leigh Whannell quien no solo también destacó por su apoyo en la historia y el dirigir las escenas sino que demostró tener talento para la actuación y destaco por su increíble papel de Adam. Una historia en donde todo está conectado, las vidas y las historias, las personas y sus decisiones, todo para tomar una decisión, salvarse a si mismos o matar al otro para poder vivir.
