CINETalkies : Lets talk about Cinema (12/06/2021)
First Regional Language Movie
Daily we see the engagement from the countries like Korea, India and United States on this forum. Let us discuss which was the first movie in your language. May be in India there would be many languages apart from hindi.
CINETalkies has now become the regular feature of the cinetv blog. @interpretation , @teapassion regularly support with their #pob votes. @vikbuddy, @hykss @ykretz regularly contribute on this forum. They are the real stars, without their support this initiative is silent.
You can write about any movie that you recommend others to watch. Lets start the engagement on CINE.

A CINETalkies post will be created daily, and anyone can participate in the #cinetalkies initiative by simply commenting on this post. Try to interact in the comments with other users. Want to talk about a movie, but still don’t have enough data to post about?
Rewards are discretionary. Spammers are not welcome but if you really want to talk about a movie (whether english or a regional language), web-series, movies, channels, shows then this is the place.
Lets us boost overall comments and the same would not be in vein.
Thank you @gogreenbuddy for encouraging this initiative and providing the delegation of #cinepower.
Good luck to contributors for rewarding engagement.
Kalidas is a 1931 Indian Tamil- and Telugu-language biographical film directed by H. M. Reddy and produced by Ardeshir Irani. This can be termed as the first Indian Regional movie but The first Tamil silent film, Keechaka Vadham, was made by R. Nataraja Mudaliar in 1918.
Here I found a very old clip of the tamil movie Keechhak Vadham.
Quite interesting old black and white movie.
Wow, so glad to see that you got this clip. Thanks a lot
In Korea, there is only one primary language and it's Korean. Chunhyang-Jeon (Korean: 춘향전) was released in 1922 as the first Korean language film. I am not sure what happened to that movie as it is not considered as the first movie in the country.
I tried searching for this movie across the internet but could not really figure out where is this movie now. If you can share some trailers it would be really interesting to know the korean movies better.
I don't think that would be available anymore as there are no such requirements to preserve the same. But another old movie trailer is available here
The world's earliest surviving motion-picture film, showing actual consecutive action is called Roundhay Garden Scene. It's a short film directed by French inventor Louis Le Prince.
