Sé que estás películas no son muy nuevas, pero en esta semana tuve la oportunidad de verlas todas. Resulta que recién estuvo en la cartelera del cine “Bad Boys: Hasta la muerte”. Por motivos de trabajo no pude ver la película cuando recién estaba en cartelera, pero un cine en Barquisimeto la volvió a colocar dentro de funciones especiales por el módico precio de 1$ así que sin pensarlo dos veces el viernes fui a verla en la pantalla grande.
I know these movies are not very new, but this week I had the opportunity to see them all. It turns out that “Bad Boys: Hasta la muerte” was recently in the movie theaters. For work reasons I couldn't see the movie when it was on the billboard, but a movie theater in Barquisimeto put it back in special screenings for the low price of 1$, so without thinking twice on Friday I went to see it on the big screen.

Particularmente, tengo un hábito que cuando una película se va a estrenar y tiene una anterior la veo para recordar que es lo que sucede con detenimiento, pero Bad Boys son cuatro películas y antes de ir al cine a ver la última quise ver las tres primeras antes, así que hoy quiero hacer un pequeño paseo por cada una de ellas.
Particularly, I have a habit that when a movie is going to be released and has a previous one I watch it to remember what's going on closely, but Bad Boys is four movies and before going to the cinema to see the last one I wanted to see the first three before, so today I want to do a little walk through each of them.
Bad Boys I
Está saga de películas es de origen estadounidense, la primera de ellas fue estrenada en el año 1995. Es protagonizada por Will Smith y Martin Lawrence, quienes personifican a dos policías de Miami, ellos están muy locos pero la verdad son policías honestos.
Ésta película, nos muestra quienes son Mike Lowrey y Marcus Burnett, ellos son compañeros de trabajo, excelentes amigos y trabajan específicamente en la unidad de narcóticos de la policía de Miami. En esta primera película ellos investigan una desaparición de droga que ocurrió en las instalaciones de la policía. Entonces Lowrey comienza a investigar y en eso le pide a una exnovia que lo ayude, pero lamentablemente la matan y su amiga le toca presenciar el asesinato por lo que Se vuelve el blanco de estos delincuentes.
La trama radica en que ella busca a Mike Lowrey para contarle lo sucedido ya que no confía en nadie, entonces como Mike no estaba, a su amigo Marcus le tocó hacerse pasar por él y allí comienza toda una aventura para proteger a la testigo y ubicar la droga robada que probablemente sacarian del país.
Debo confesar que he visto está película muchas veces, recuerdo haberla visto en televisión abierta. Sin embargo, nunca me pareció que continuaría, según mi perspectiva a pesar de ser una película cómica fue una película de acción real y la verdad es la que más me ha gustado, a pesar que para el año en que fue estrenada no se contaba con mucha tecnología para hacer grandes efectos especiales, fue una película muy buena y con una trama bien desarrollada.
This movie saga is of American origin, the first of them was released in 1995. It stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, who personify two Miami cops, they are very crazy but they are honest cops.
This movie shows us who are Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, they are co-workers, excellent friends and work specifically in the narcotics unit of the Miami police. In this first movie they investigate a drug disappearance that occurred in the police facilities. Lowrey begins to investigate and asks an ex-girlfriend to help him, but unfortunately she is killed and her friend has to witness the murder and becomes the target of these criminals.
The plot is that she is looking for Mike Lowrey to tell him what happened because she does not trust anyone, then as Mike was not there, her friend Marcus had to impersonate him and there begins a whole adventure to protect the witness and locate the stolen drugs that probably would be taken out of the country.
I must confess that I have seen this movie many times, I remember watching it on television. However, it never seemed to me that it would continue, according to my perspective despite being a comic movie it was a real action movie and the truth is the one I liked the most, although for the year in which it was released there was not much technology to make great special effects, it was a very good movie with a well developed plot.
Bad Boys II: More Rebels Return
Y luego de ocho años, justamente en el 2003 se estrena Bad Boys II. Ésta película protagonizada por los mismos actores de la primera, también es una producción estadounidense. Los detectives Burnett y Lowrey continúan trabajando en la unidad de narcóticos, la cual fue modernizada y ellos investigan el flujo de éxtasis en Miami. En esta película hay varias bandas rusos, haitianos y cubanos; pero lo que más me causa impresión es que un Cubano loco tenía una funeraria en la que tomaban los cadáveres le sacaban todo lo de adentro y allí transportaban la droga.
La hermana de Marcus también participa en esta trama como una agente encubierta de la DEA, de hecho es descubierta por los delincuentes, secuestrada y llevada como rehén a Cuba lo que hace que Marcus y Mike tengan que planificar un rescate en territorio cubano.
Con respecto a mi opinión sobre esta película, en realidad no me gustó mucho, la siento grotesca, asquerosa y sobre actuada. Creo que tiende más a lo cómico que a la acción, pero en esa trama cómica la veo como algo tonta, además que la acción es algo exagerado y ocurren cosas que sinceramente no emocionan.
And after eight years, precisely in 2003 Bad Boys II was released. This movie, starring the same actors as the first one, is also an American production. In this movie there are several Russian, Haitian and Cuban gangs; but what impresses me the most is that a crazy Cuban had a funeral home where they took the corpses and took everything out of them and transported the drugs there.
Marcus' sister also participates in this plot as an undercover DEA agent, in fact she is discovered by the criminals, kidnapped and taken hostage to Cuba which makes Marcus and Mike have to plan a rescue in Cuban territory.
Regarding my opinion about this movie, I didn't really like it, I felt it was grotesque, disgusting and over acted. I think it tends more to the comic than to the action, but in that comic plot I see it as something silly, plus the action is somewhat exaggerated and things happen that honestly do not thrill.
Bad Boys: For Life
La tercera producción de la saga fue estrenada en el año 2020, de igual forma es una película estadounidense y es una continuidad de las anteriores películas por lo que sus personajes principales siguen siendo los detectives Burnett y Lowrey. Aquí tenemos otro personaje muy conocido y se trata de Kate del Castillo, quien personifica a Isabel Aretas, la esposa de un capo mexicano, ella se encuentra recluida en la cárcel desde hace años pero escapa en el inicio de la película.
Al escapar, envía a su hijo Armando Aretas a Miami para que busque un dinero que había dejado Benito Aretas, capo del cartel. No obstante, cuando Isabel sale de la cárcel le da instrucciones precisas a Armando para que mate a varios detectives de altos cargos incluyendo a Mike Lowey a quien logra herir y enviar al hospital.
Una de las víctimas que lamentar de Armando fue el Capitán Howard, quien era una persona de principios y comprometido con su labor. A raíz de eso, los detectives planificaron un viaje a México para enfrentarse con Isabel quien en el pasado tuvo un amorío con Mike que trajo como desenlace un hijo, el mismo que le disparó Mike y mató al Capitán, nada más y nada menos que Armando Aretas.
Con respecto a esta película, debo decir que me gustó mucho, siento que fue una trama muy bien pensada de modo tal, que dejara a la audiencia en suspenso. Tiene una buena trama de acción, es cómica pero no irreal, además que debo acotar que tiene un elenco de primera, actores de renombre, los cuales hacen muy bien su trabajo.

Regarding this movie, I must say that I liked it a lot, I feel that it was a very well thought out plot that left the audience in suspense. It has a good action plot, it is comical but not unrealistic, and I must also point out that it has a first class cast, renowned actors, who do their job very well.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die
Esta es la última película de la saga (Por ahora), ya que en el maravilloso mundo del cine cualquier cosa puede suceder. Ésta producción es del año 2024 y fue estrenada hace poco en la pantalla grande. Otra vez, entran al juego los detectives Marcus y Mike, pero la vida de Mike dió un giro trascendental, ya que al fin se casa con su fisioterapeuta.
En ese momento Marcus sufre un ataque al corazón, del cual logra salir bien librado. Sin embargo, cuando les toca ir a la oficina se dan cuenta que hay una reunión para decir que el Capitán Howard estaba en negocios turbios. Pero los detectives nunca lo creyeron, así que se dedicaron a investigar para limpiar el nombre del Capitán, pero en ese camino para dar con toda esa red de narcotráfico y mercenarios terminan siendo prófugos de la justicia.
Hay toda una conspiración para matar a Armando por lo que deben trasladarlo, pero en ese traslado intentan matarlos y siembran pruebas de que son ellos los delincuentes que tumbaron el avión y mataron los oficiales que allí viajaban. La situación se pone cada vez más tensa, los busca la justicia, los mercenarios de cuello blanco y para completar ofrecieron recompensa a las bandas organizadas para que los entreguen vivos o muertos.
Pero ellos logran escabullirse y encuentran todas las pruebas con los nombres de todos los involucrados, personas dentro de los cuerpos de seguridad y éstos secuestran a la esposa de Mike y a la nieta del Capitan Howard, es allí donde entran al juego una vez más los Bad Boys combaten el crimen, mueren los malos, solucionan el caso y salvan a los rehenes.
Cabe resaltar, que aún no logro determinar cuál de las películas es mi favorita porque estoy entre la primera producción y la última. Realmente fue una película buena, que hacia comerse las uñas, con escenas de acción muy buena, además él momento donde los Bad Boys hacen la entrada para rescatar a los rehenes es épica, pero ésta fue de alto impacto ya que no eran solo dos, en esta ocasión eran tres… Marcus Burnett, Mike Lowrey y Armando Aretas, de verdad que fue la mejor escena para mí.
This is the last movie of the saga (for now), since in the wonderful world of cinema anything can happen. This production is from the year 2024 and was recently released on the big screen. Once again, the detectives Marcus and Mike enter the game, but Mike's life took a transcendental turn, since he finally marries his physiotherapist.
At that moment, Marcus suffers a heart attack, from which he manages to get out of it safely. However, when it's their turn to go to the office they find out that there is a meeting to say that Captain Howard was in shady business. But the detectives never believed it, so they set out to investigate to clear the Captain's name, but on their way to find the entire network of drug trafficking and mercenaries, they end up being fugitives from justice.
There is a conspiracy to kill Armando, so they have to transfer him, but during the transfer they try to kill them and plant evidence that they are the criminals who knocked down the plane and killed the officers who were traveling there. The situation becomes more and more tense, the justice system is looking for them, the white-collar mercenaries and to top it off they offered a reward to the organized gangs to deliver them dead or alive.
But they manage to slip away and find all the evidence with the names of all those involved, people within the security forces and they kidnap Mike's wife and Captain Howard's granddaughter, that's where the Bad Boys come into play once again, they fight crime, the bad guys die, solve the case and save the hostages.
It is worth noting that I still can not determine which of the films is my favorite because I am between the first production and the last one. It was a really good movie, nail-biting, with very good action scenes, plus the moment where the Bad Boys make the entrance to rescue the hostages is epic, but this one was of high impact because there were not only two, this time there were three... Marcus Burnett, Mike Lowrey and Armando Aretas, it was really the best scene for me.

No se puede negar que ha sido una buena saga, con estos dos protagonistas que se roban el show con cada escena, recientemente también vi la cuarta entrega, bueno no deja de sorprender con sus explosivas escenas, muy buena, saludos.

Estoy de acuerdo contigo que ha sido una buena saga, creo que dónde no la pegaron mucho fue con la película 2, pero las que le siguieron están súper buenas. Otra cosa es que si tiene muy buenos actores.

Hola amiga, esta es una de las mejores saga que han sacado donde cada una de las películas cuenta con un excelente toque y una acción que permite que los espectadores se enganchen, además la presencia de esos dos actores permite darle un toque especial a la misma y poder llevarla a la cima. Así que fue una opción y oportunidad de ir al cine y disfrutar de cada segundo de la misma.

Si, de verdad que ha Sido buena es más he visto las películas dos o tres veces porque me gustan mucho, excepto la 2 que de verdad no me gusta mucho. Los actores son buenos y los que se han incorporado en las últimas dos películas han sido magníficos.

Me alegra que te haya gustado la publicación, creo que en todas las sagas siempre la primera es la mejor. Sin embargo, la 3 y 4 están muy buenas también.
