Greetings, dear cinephiles of the wonderful C/Movies & TV Shows, this drama film project, Innocence Interrupted, directed by James Mangold; I am gripped by the presence of the actress, Angelina Jolie. I confess that I am in love with this fantastic artist. It is because of her that I insert myself in the television. This one, Innocence Interrupted; I value it for the extraordinary dramatisation of the talent of the protagonist Winona Ryder, with a range of talented women covering the cast of this play. It is set historically, in the year 1967, where young Susanna Kaysen, played by Winona Rider, is taken for therapy with a doctor friend of her family for making a suicide attempt by consuming a whole bottle of aspirin with a full bottle of vodka; indeed, she severely self-flagellates. She is diagnosed with an acute personality disorder and is admitted with her consent to the Claymoore Psychiatric Hospital Institute where she undergoes treatment for mental healing and recovery of her personality.

Me confieso que estoy enamorado de esta fantástica artista. Es por ella que me inserto en el televisor. Esta, Inocencia interrumpida; la valoro por la extraordinaria dramatización del talento de la protagonista Winona Ryder, con un abanico de talentosas mujeres que cubren el elenco de esta obra. Se ubica históricamente, en el año 1967, donde la joven Susana Kaysen, que encarna Winona Rider, es trasladada a realizar una terapia con un médico amigo de su familia por efectuar un intento de suicidio al consumir un frasco completo de aspirinas con una botella repleta de vodka; es más, se autoflagela gravemente. Ella es diagnosticada con un trastorno agudo de su personalidad, es ingresada con su consentimiento en el instituto hospitalario psiquiátrico Claymoore donde realiza un tratamiento de sanación y recuperación mental a su personalidad.

Susana is greeted by Valerie Owens, the psychiatric nurse, who is spectacularly portrayed by Whoopi Goldberg. She is admitted to the women's ward, where she joins a group of patients such as Polly, Daisy, Georgina, Lisa, Cynthia and Janet, who have various personality pathologies. Susanna bonds with Lisa, Angelina Joyce, the co-star, with whom she strikes up a friendship. Lisa dramatises a transcendental role, displaying delusional traits of psychopathy with which she lures Susanna into her undisciplined habits, and even manages to stop taking her medication in order to leave therapy. Subsequently, he escapes from the psychiatric institution and witnesses the suicide of Daisy, who is Brittany Murphy, who had managed to leave the institute to improve her emotional disorder. Lisa is the one who excites Daisy to commit suicide.

Susana al ingresar es recibida por Valerie Owens, la enfermera del psiquiátrico, que está representada espectacularmente por Whoopi Goldberg. Es ingresada al pabellón de mujeres, donde se integra al grupo de pacientes como Polly, Daisy, Georgina, Lisa, Cynthia y Janet, quienes tienen diversas patologías de la personalidad. Susana se vincula con Lisa, Angelina Joyce, la coprotagonista, con quien inicia una amistad. Lisa dramatiza un papel trascendental mostrando delirantes rasgos de psicopatía con la que atrae a Susana para conjugar con sus hábitos indisciplinados, hasta logra abandonar el consumo de sus medicamentos para abandonar la terapia. Posteriormente, se escapa del psiquiátrico y presencia el suicidio de Daisy, quien es Brittany Murphy, quien había logrado salir del instituto para mejorar su trastorno emocional. Lisa es quien excita a Daisy a suicidarse.

This scene shook my soul. The set design is so realistically conceived that there is no doubt about Daisy's self-execution. Lisa escapes from the place and Susan voluntarily enters the psychiatric institute. Susanna decides to improve her behavioural disorder. Lisa, who is found wandering the streets, is kept in a state of absolute neglect and prostitution. She is committed back to the psychiatric institution. Susanna has developed a special growth for writing where she writes down her experiences. Lisa locates the book where she has a diagnosis of all women with behavioural disorders. Susanna becomes upset and they become aggrieved.

Esta escena me sacudió el alma. La escenografía está concebida con un realismo que no queda duda de la autoejecución de Daisy. Lisa se escapa del lugar y Susana ingresa voluntariamente al instituto psiquiátrico. Susana decide mejorar su trastorno de conducta. Lisa, que la consiguen vagando por las calles, se mantenía en un estado absoluto de abandono y prostituyéndose. Es recluida nuevamente en el psiquiátrico. Susana ha desarrollado un especial crecimiento por la escritura donde redacta sus experiencias. Lisa localiza el libro donde tiene un diagnóstico de todas las mujeres con trastornos de la conducta. Susana se molesta y se agreden.

The story culminates with Susanna being released because of her improved and recovered mental health. She says goodbye to Lisa, with the assertive message that she, too, is going to recover in the same way as all the other patients and friends she made in the mental hospital.

It shows the reality of how patients with behavioural disorders deal with specialists and doctors in the psychiatric ward. I like the special content of the importance of friendship and the support that patients need in the process of recovery and mental healing. Support that is fundamental in any process of balance, healing, and growth of the personality.

Es de considerar que la película trata un tema actual, como es la salud mental. Muestra la realidad como se desenvuelven pacientes de trastornos de conducta con los especialistas y los médicos en el psiquiátrico. Me gusta el contenido especial de la importancia de la amistad y el apoyo que necesitan los pacientes en el proceso de recuperación y sanación mental. Apoyo que es fundamental en todo proceso de equilibrio, sanación y crecimiento de la personalidad.

The film production of Innocence Interrupted, which I appreciate with a reflective approach, can be of use to society because it can raise awareness of the advocacy proposed by international agencies to raise awareness of mental health and to foster subjective and objective understanding to support people with emotional imbalances.

In the development of the film piece, I was attracted by the quality of Susanna Kaysen's body language where she expresses her incoherent state of mind and the conflict with her personal identity. Her reading of body language is stern and steely, and her gaze is extroverted, excellent artistic work by this woman.

The make-up I like to detail of each artist with slight exceptions because it is used to create the physical appearance, specific to each character, which can convey information about the personality, social or physical condition. The costumes are also important to represent the time and place where the story takes place. Also, the physical features of each of the characters are highlighted. These artistic elements, in a responsible, aesthetic and ethical way, highlighted the artistic quality of the film production.

En especial, la expresión corporal de estas artistas, destaca los personajes que logran transmitir el diverso estado emocional de las pacientes y su relación con los demás. El maquillaje me gusta al detalle de cada artista con ligeras excepciones porque se utiliza para crear la apariencia física, específica de cada personaje, que se puede transmitir la información sobre la personalidad, la condición social o física. El vestuario también es importante para representar esa época y el lugar donde se efectúa la historia. También, se destacan los rasgos físicos de cada uno de los personajes. Estos elementos artísticos, de forma responsable, estética y ética, resaltaron en la producción cinematográfica la calidad artística.

The film says that healing from conduct disorder is not easy, it is a delicate process. For example, Susanna's clinical picture does not recover instantly. She has to tolerate her problems and work hard to balance and overcome them. The film says that healing is feasible, it takes an encounter with the person and discipline.

La película dice que la sanación del trastorno de conducta no es fácil, es un proceso delicado. Por ejemplo, el cuadro clínico de Susanna no se recupera al instante. Tiene que tolerar sus problemas y trabajar duro para equilibrar y superarse. La película dice que la sanación es viable, se necesita encuentro con la persona y disciplina.

It is a transcendental artistic work, Innocence Interrupted, which gives a real perspective on the human situation and condition, on mental health and healing. The film describes the phenomenon of mental disorders with their wide spectrum of behaviour, expressing that mental healing is possible with the support of adequate treatment and responsibility to improve the quality of life in the socio-cultural context in which one lives. It is necessary to live in a better world.

Es trascendental esta obra artística, Inocencia interrumpida, que brinda una perspectiva real de la situación y condición humana, de la salud mental y la sanación. La película describe el fenómeno de los trastornos mentales con su extenso espectro de la conducta, expresando que la sanación mental es posible con los soportes del tratamiento adecuado y la responsabilidad que se tenga para mejorar la calidad de vida en el contexto sociocultural donde se habita. Es necesario vivir en un mundo mejor.

With all due respect to the hivers, I confess that I still have a virtual crush on Angelina, for her spiritual quality and her ability to perform successfully in this co-starring role. I recognise Winona's virtuosity in her magnificent lead role. These women are fabulous in their rightful place on the stupendous screen of the seventh art.

Reconozco el virtuosismo de Winona en su magnífico papel de protagonista. Son fabulosas estas mujeres abordando el lugar que les corresponde en la estupenda pantalla del séptimo arte.
