Greetings, dear cinephiles and seriophiles, I wish that this new year the big screen of life shows the richness that is in front of the view, with that precision to be able to grasp the importance that means the power of love. In the programming, from Netflix, I feel trapped by this artistic piece. That's how I rate it, because its content and its genre of suspense and politics on the big screen have always caught my attention because of the character with which it projects the American socio-political reality. What's more, this 2009 filmic gem is directed by Kevin Macdonald and stars Russell Crowe in the title role, with Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams in the supporting roles. It is based on the BBC miniseries of the same title.

En la programación, de Netflix, me siento atrapado por esta pieza artística. Así la valoro, porque su contenido y su género de suspenso y política en la gran pantalla, siempre me han llamado la atención por el carácter con el que proyecta la realidad sociopolítica norteamericana. E decir, que no tiene esta obra la menor complicidad con los hechos de corrupción en la estructura política de EE. UU. Es más, esta joya fílmica del 2009; está dirigida por Kevin Macdonald y el papel principal está encarnado Russell Crowe, acompañando Ben Affleck y Rachel McAdams. Está concebida en la miniserie con el mismo título de la BBC.

I am fascinated, watching, analysing and reflecting on the quality of the film work, I am injected into the television. The quality is stupendous. The cast is conceived without detail, with performances that convincingly embody each episode of the play. The film ends, with stark, dramatic realism; McCaffrey and Frye, doing their journalistic job, print and publish the relevant truth about the shocking public scandal. I am gripped by the feeling, the murder of Collins' assistant continues the film, triggering the relevant information about corruption. Political corruption is the central theme of the film, and it is an element that draws me into the drama. The search for the truth of these sleuths that manages to maintain my empathy for this theme.

Me agrada la estética como un factor que eleva la calidad de La sombra del poder, por ejemplo. Romance can't be missing; I can see a certain romantic attraction between McCaffrey and Frye. In my opinion, there is an obvious spiritual and physical balance between the characters. Moreover, they have an intimate emotional connection that is supported by their mutual respect and passion for each other's work. Ultimately, I believe the film leaves the interpretation of the relationship between the characters open, allowing the viewer to form their own opinion.

El romance no puede faltar; puedo apreciar cierta atracción romántica entre McCaffrey y Frye. Tengo mi opinión, existe un evidente equilibrio espiritual y físico entre los personajes. Es más, tienen una íntima conexión emocional que se apoyan en su respeto mutuo y su pasión por el trabajo en común.
