Good day, everyone. This is indeed the first time posting in this community, and I'd like to greet everyone. My name is Sikirulahi, and I've been watching movies for as long as I can remember. I'm always eager to discover new cinematic experiences.

Without further ado, I'd like to go into the movie I'm taking about today, which is "COBWEB.".

Horror, thriller, mystery. I've always been a horror movie fan since 2021, when I was able to overcome my fear of staying alone at home. After watching movies like "Anabell comes home" and others,. I've been a little comfortable with horror movies, and it's been enjoyable. After which, I've watched lots and lots of movies (horrors included).

Earlier this year, when checking through Twitter, I saw this movie and people giving it nice reviews, so I got a little excited about it.

Young Peter is plagued by a mysterious, constant noise from inside his bedroom wall -- a tapping that his parents insist is in his imagination. As his fear intensifies, he starts to believe that his parents are hiding a terrible and dangerous secret. Source

This movie follows the story of Peter, an eight-year-old boy who struggles to connect with people both at school and at home. In school, he faces bullies, and at home, he hears strange noises from the wall in his bedroom, at first, it was a nock on the wall, but was time goes one, it start to talk. Despite trying to avoid conflict at school, Peter eventually loses his temper and ends up hurting one of the bullies, leading to his expulsion from school. As a result of this incident, he was also grounded at home. His teacher took notice of this and tries to help him in the process.

The beginning of the movie was slow and had some dull moments. Honestly, I found myself dozing off and had to re-watch it. However, things got more interesting when the focus shifted from school to Peter's home life with his parents. Though they looked distant to him, there wasn't any story about whether they were evil or not; we're just there caring for their child as they thought a normal parent would, but the sound of a sweet young girl in his bedroom keeps meddling with Peter's head, talking to him to save her and other interesting things, which leads to some interesting plot twists, which I wouldn't want to reveal. I don't want to give any more spoilers.

An old house in a secluded environment, a cozy room, and an attic, the environment in the movie gives off a very creepy atmosphere, which is indeed very thrilling and a little scary. It indeed portrays the title as Cobweb. Though I would have wanted it to be scarier, it's not bad. For the fun part, it could actually scare a 12-year-old.

For a typical horror movie, Cobweb has some moments when the plots are somewhat predictable, times where I was able to predict some parts in the movie, Though there are some unrealistically acted scenes that wouldn't happen in a real-life situation, like entering a weirdly-looking place alone. For instance, when Pere's teacher went to visit him at home,. She sensed something was off, but she entered the creepy house anyways. Also, when she was chased away, she came back and I was like, why ?, can't you just call the police or anybody around ?. But we already know what will happen if she does, which is very predictable. But it was still fun to watch what each character does as the movie unfolds.

Though Cobweb really has few characters, the cast acted out the scenes well, and the cinematography is okay.

Cobweb really has nice CGI, showing the parts required to be shown, and the music was nicely synced with the environment; this portrayed a very eerie, cozy, and thrilling atmosphere. When watching it, I couldn't find any blind spots in the graphics. Nicely done.

Though the ending was okay, it left many stone unturned, they only talked about the story of the boy and his sister, but they didn't really talked about his parents. The story wasn't detailed enough and I wished they provided a broader concept to it. Though has a very predictable ending, I would've love a more thrilling ending, perhaps even extending the movie into multiple parts like some other movies. So, I give it a 5/10 rating.

That brings me to the end of my post, I hope you really enjoy it, see you next time.
