A story with an unexpected ending...
A few days ago I came across this story, the synopsis caught my attention, so I decided to watch it, and the truth is, you won't get bored, it has a little bit of everything, between drama, suspense and action.
Una historia con un final inesperado...
Hace unos días me encontré con esta historia, me llamo la atención, la sinopsis, por ende decidí verla, y la verdad, no te vas a aburrir, tiene de todo un poco, entre drama, suspenso y acción.
The film is called INCENDIES, it shows us the story of two twins who have just lost their mother, the same leaves her with the notary some letters, which she asks him to deliver them to their owner, one for their father, and another for a brother, which they did not know of its existence, it is here where the daughter decided to travel to Lebanon, in search of both people, and in search of some answers of her mother's past.
At first I thought it was a typical story, but in this plot, we will see scenes of wars, mistreatment, among others, reflecting the dark and sad past of the mother, it is here where the young girl, who decided to leave to fulfill her last request, will be overwhelmed with so many things and secrets that she did not know.
We can see, a before and after, scenes of the previous life of the twins' mother, all set in the Middle East, with historical facts, in the midst of violence, killings, religious differences, and so on.
La película se llama INCENDIES, nos muestra la historia de dos gemelos que acaban de perder a su madre, la misma le deja con el notario unas cartas, las cuales le pide que se las entregue a su dueño, una para el padre de ellos, y otra para un hermano, el cual desconocían de su existencia, es aquí donde la hija decidí viajar a Líbano, en busca de ambas personas, y en busca de algunas respuestas del pasado de su madre.
Al principio pensé que era una típica historia, pero en esta trama, veremos escenas de guerras, maltrato, entre otras, reflejando el pasado oscuro y triste de la madre, es aquí donde la joven chica, que decidió salir a cumplir su última petición, se vera abrumada con tantas cosas y secretos que desconocía.
Podemos ver, un antes y después, escenas de la vida anterior de la madre de los gemelos, todo ambientado en el medio oriente, con hechos históricos, en medio de violencias, matanzas, diferencias religiosas, asi sucesivamente.
I was really surprised by the story, I did not imagine it like this, everything that this woman lived, what she suffered, and how she managed to survive, no doubt, this was also surprising for her children, since they had no idea of this past of their mother, we can see how they feel overwhelmed, with so many things, hard to believe.
It is here where one is imagining things, trying to understand a little the context of the story, but with an ending, that as I said, leaves you stunned, speechless; with a good direction in each scene, trying to recreate all that past, all that history, the rawness of this story, keeps you there intrigued, wanting to know more, especially for that ending.
A mí la verdad me sorprendió la historia, no me la imaginaba asi, todo lo que vivió esta mujer, lo que sufrió, y como logro sobrevivir, sin duda, esto también fue sorprendente para sus hijos, puesto que no tenían idea, de este pasado de su madre, podemos ver como se sienten abrumados, con tantas cosas, difíciles de creer.
Es aquí donde uno se va imaginando cosas, tratando de entender un poco el contexto de la historia, pero con un final, que como dije, te deja pasmado, sin palabras; con una buena dirección en cada escena, intentando recrear todo ese pasado, toda esa historia, la crudeza de esta historia, te mantiene allí intrigado, queriendo saber más, sobre todo por ese final.
This story is based on a play called The Woman Who Sang by Wajdi Mouawad, a Canadian film, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2011, showing this plot of the life of Nawal, the mother of the twins, with scenes of war, historical and political events, reflecting how they affected her family.
Worth watching from beginning to end, it keeps you captive, waiting to see the continuation of this family drama, between the secrets, events and heartbreaking situations, it is impossible to imagine the outcome.
Esta historia es basada en una obra denominada La mujer que cantaba de Wajdi Mouawad, es una película canadiense, la cual fue nominada al Óscar como mejor película de habla no inglesa en el 2011, mostrando esta trama de la vida de Nawal, la madre de los gemelos, con escenas de hechos bélicos, históricos, y políticos, reflejando asi como afectaron a su familia.
Vale la pena verla, desde principio a fin, te mantiene allí cautivo, esperando ver la continuación de este drama familiar, entre los secretos, eventos y situaciones tan desgarrantes, es imposible, de imaginar, el desenlace.

Likewise, in this trip, these brothers, will see a past that they did not know about their mother, the woman who raised them, who was with them, who never spoke to them about it, and it was practically like a bucket of cold water, to learn so many things, it was not easy, having to digest everything.
For me it was a great movie, deserving of that Oscar, too bad it did not win, these are stories that are certainly worth seeing and recommending, so if you have not seen it, I tell you to do it, you will not regret it, or be bored, I assure you.

Asi mismo, en este viaje, estos hermanos, verán un pasado que desconocían por completo de su madre, la mujer que los crio, que estuvo con ellos, la cual nunca les hablo nada de esto, y prácticamente fue como un balde de agua fría, el enterarse de tantas cosas, no fue nada fácil, el tener que digerir todo.
Para mí fue una gran película, merecedora de ese Óscar, lástima no lo gano, estas son historias que sin duda valen la pena ver y recomendar, asi que, si no la han visto, les digo que lo hagan, no se van a arrepentir, ni aburrir, eso se los aseguro.

Oh, viste este film. Con esta película fue la primera vez que vi algo de Denis Villeneuve. Me encanto, su historia es desgarradora. El giro de guion es brutal, despiadado, que golpe, tanto para el personaje como para el espectador. Ese es el Denis Villeneuve que me gusta, ahora esta mas embalesado por el aspecto visual y quizás pro eso no me gustado tanto La Llegada y Dune.
Esta es una buena película que debería ser vista pro los actuales fans mas recientes de Villeneuve.
Siiii vale, me quede super sorprendida con esta historia, de verdad que es bastante abrumadora, como dices desgarradora, todas las escenas, impactante, me gusto mucho, nunca me imagine que sería asi, cuando empecé a verla, y esta película es vieja, del 2010, asi que desde entonces, muchos directores han bajado la guardia, definitivamente las películas de antes eran mejores que las de ahora, las que están sacando son muy pocas, contadas, las que salen realmente buenas., si tienes alguna asi para recomendarme agradecida jiji, saludos.
