We continue our movie reviews where we left off. I've started to watch the recommendations that have been coming in, especially on the show I run, but there are a few other movies I want to share with you first. Damsel is the most beautiful movie I have seen recently. Now you will understand why.

First of all, the movie was released on Netflix in March 2024, so we can say that it is very new and probably many of you have not seen it. I think we can all agree that the movies that have come out in recent years are not of very high quality, of course there are quality movies, but exceptions do not break the rule. This movie was really one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. The genre of the movie is adventure, action and fantasy. It summarizes the movie very well.

You may see small spoilers after this, but I will not tell you everything about the movie, so even if you read it, you will not lose your enthusiasm when you watch the movie. Elodie, our protagonist, has to accept a marriage proposal from another kingdom for the welfare of her kingdom. Because this kingdom is really rich and they can give them anything they want. Elodie is very hesitant to marry a complete stranger, but she accepts it for the future of her kingdom. She also loves the man she will marry later. She gets on well with him, they go for a ride, they ride together and everything goes well. But there is something Elodie doesn't know. The prince she is going to marry has some rituals in his kingdom and they are not very friendly.

When the marriage ceremony takes place on top of a mountain, Elodie and the young prince are given small cuts on their hands and their hands are joined together. Supposedly this will ensure that they are inseparable for life, but the situation behind it is much darker. I'm not going to tell you that so you can find out in the movie. This marriage ceremony suddenly turns into a nightmare for Elodie, the prince throws Elodie off his lap into a hole in the mountain and the whole crowd abandons her.

Elodie falls into the depths of the mountain with nothing to get her out of there. There is a dragon waiting for her and wants to hunt her. Elodie does everything for her life. She runs and hides for a very long time. Finally she finds a way out of there, but it is not an easy process. She has to make a difficult climb with bruises all over her body and she succeeds. She really gets out of there. This makes the dragon very angry and when they're getting ready to attack the kingdom, they throw Elodie's sister to the dragon. Aren't they cruel! You will be shocked when you find out the reason behind it. Elodie doesn't stop there and goes back to save her sister. But do you think she will be able to save her sister? Or will she get out of there alive? What will be the end of the kingdom? All you have to do to find out is to watch the whole movie, my friends!

As for my comments on the movie, first of all, the unusual script really deserves praise. You know, in this kind of movies, the princess is kidnapped and the prince on the white horse goes to rescue her. He sacrifices himself if necessary but saves the girl. However, here the protagonist is a woman and this is handled very well in the script. It was not made just for the female actor to be the hero. I am sure you have watched such low quality movies. While watching this movie, the events progressed many times in a way I did not expect and surprised me. If I had to think if there was anything bad about the movie, there was nothing except for some minor logic errors, but they are also acceptable.

If I'm going to rate the movie, I give it 9.9 out of 10. I would have to watch a masterpiece like Lord of the Rings to give it a full 10, so I'm not using 10 out of 10 for now. Maybe in the future, if I watch a movie that really impresses me as much as Lord of the Rings, I will use 10 points there. The story, the script, the acting, everything was very good. So I definitely recommend you to watch it.

Öncelikle film 2024 yılının Mart ayında Netflix'te vizyona girmiş bu yüzden çok yeni diyebiliriz ve muhtemelen birçoğunuz izlemedi. Son yıllarda çıkan filmlerin çok kaliteli olmadığı konusunda hepimiz hem fikiriz diye düşünüyorum, tabi ki arada kaliteli filmler de oluyor ancak istisnalar kaideyi bozmaz. Bu film ise gerçekten izlediğim en güzel filmlerden biriydi. Filmin türü macera, aksiyon ve fantezi. Filmi çok iyi özetliyor.

Buradan sonra ufak spoilerlar görebilirsiniz ancak filme dair her şeyi anlatmayacağım yani okusanız da filmi izlediğinizde hevesiniz kaçmayacaktır. Elodie yani başrolümüz, kendi krallığının refahı için başka bir krallıktan gelen evlenme teklifini kabul etmek zorunda. Çünkü bu krallık gerçekten aşırı zengin ve istedikleri her şeyi onlara verebilirler. Elodie hiç tanımadığı biriyle evlenme konusunda oldukça tereddütlü ama bunu kendi krallığının geleceği için kabul ediyor. Daha sonra evleneceği adamı da seviyor. Onunla iyi anlaşıyor, biraz dolaşıyorlar, birlikte at sürüyorlar ve her şey yolunda gidiyor. Ancak Elodie'nin bilmediği bir şey var. Evleneceği prensin krallığının bazı ritüelleri var ve bunlar pek de dost canlısı şeyler değil.

Çok uzun süre kaçıyor ve saklanıyor. Sonunda oradan çıkmanın bir yolunu buluyor ancak bu hiç kolay bir süreç değil. Her yeri yara bere içerisindeyken zorlu bir tırmanış yapması gerekiyor ve bunu başarıyor. Oradan gerçekten de kaçıyor. Bu durum ejderhayı çok sinirlendiriyor ve krallığa saldırmaya hazırlanacakken bu sefer Elodie'nin kız kardeşini ejderhanın yanına atıyorlar. Ne acımasızlar ama değil mi! Arkasındaki sebebi öğrendiğinizde şok olacaksınız. Elodie bununla da kalmıyor ve kardeşini kurtarmak için geri dönüyor. Peki sizce kardeşini kurtarabilecek mi? Ya da kendi oradan canlı kurtulabilecek mi? Krallığın sonu ne olacak? Bütün bunları öğrenmek için yapmanız gereken filmin tamamını izlemek dostlarım!

Filme dair yorumlarıma gelecek olursak öncelikle alışılmışın dışındaki senaryosu gerçekten övgüyü hak ediyor. Bilirsiniz bu tarz filmlerde prenses kaçırılır ve beyaz atlı prens onu kurtarmaya gider. Gerekirse kendini feda eder ama kızı kurtarır. Oysa burada baş kahraman bir kadın ve bu senaryoda çok iyi işlenmiş. Sadece kadın oyuncu kahraman olsun diye yapılmamış. Bu tarz kalitesiz filmleri de eminim izlemişsinizdir. Bu filmi izlerken olaylar pek çok defa beklemediğim şekilde ilerledi ve beni şaşırttı. Bunu da bir artı olarak görüyorum. Filme dair kötü bir şey var mıydı diye düşünmem gerekirse bazı ufak tefek mantık hataları dışında bir şey yoktu ama onlar da kabul edilebilir şeylerdi.

Filme puan verecek olursam 10 üzerinden 9.9 veriyorum. Tam 10 puan vermem için Yüzüklerin Efendisi gibi bir baş yapıt izlemem gerekir bu yüzden 10 üzerinden 10 puanı şimdilik kullanmıyorum. Belki ileride gerçekten beni Yüzüklerin Efendisi kadar etkileyen bir film izlersem 10 puanı orada kullanacağım. Hikaye, senaryo, oyunculuklar her şey çok iyiydi. Yani kesinlikle izlemenizi tavsiye ederim.
