CineTV Contest: La Fille sur le pont

A long time ago after thinking about it seriously I came to the conclusion that my favorite genre of movies is drama, although a classmate once told me that the reason is because I like to see people suffer so I felt a little bad about it, however, I consider that drama movies that have a happy ending make me feel much happier than a comedy movie, action or anything that is intended to be simple entertainment without substance, because after you have cried over the misfortunes or the development of a character, seeing them achieve happiness is one of my greatest satisfactions, so to participate in the CineTV Contest and choose a movie that makes me happy, I chose one of my favorite movies that combines drama, romance and also has a bit of comedy scenes.

Hace mucho tiempo después de pensarlo seriamente llegué a la conclusión de que mi genero favorito de películas es el drama, aunque un compañero de clases una vez me dijera que la razón es porque me gusta ver a la gente sufrir por lo que me sentí un poco mal al respecto, no obstante, considero que las películas de drama que tiene un final feliz me hacer sentir mucho mas feliz que una película de comedia , acción o cualquier cosa que sea destinada a simple entretenimiento sin sustancia, porque después que se ha llorado por las desgracias o el desarrollo de un personaje verlo alcanzar la felicidad es una de mis mayores satisfacciones, entonces para participar en con Concurso de CineTV y elegir una película que me haga feliz, escogí una de mis películas favoritas que combina el drama el romance y también tiene escenas un poco de comedia.

The Girl on the Bridge (La Fille sur le pont) is a 1999 French film about a 21-year-old girl who has had a very unhappy life, she left home very young because she wanted to have sex with a boy because she thought that a woman's life began the day she had sex, so she began her path of misfortune by believing that the men who approach her saw her with good intentions but only wanted to sleep with her and leave her immediately, she had no problem doing so because she simply attributed it to her bad luck, so she spent a lot of time not even knowing what to do, nor did she have any plans for the future, she considers herself a person who had been born with bad luck and who was always waiting for something to happen to her, she lived in depression so she decided to commit suicide on a bridge, but before she could do it a man stops her, this man worked in the entertainment world, he is a knife thrower so he offers the girl the job of being his target, that is, being the girl who stands at the point where the knives are going to be thrown, the man practically tells her that if she wants to die anyway, why not do that job in which if he makes a mistake when throwing the knives she could die.

La chica del puente (La Fille sur le pont) es una película francesa de 1999, que trata de una joven de 21 años que ha tenido un vida muy desdichada, se fue de casa muy joven porque quería tener relaciones con un chico porque pensaba que a vida de una mujer comenzaba el día que tuviera relaciones sexuales, así comenzó su camino de desgracia al creer que los hombres que se le acervan la veían con buenas intensiones pero solo querían acostarse con ella y dejarla de inmediato, ella no tenía ningún problema en hacerlo porque simplemente lo atribuía a su mala suerte, así paso mucho tiempo no sabiendo ni siquiera que hacer, ni tenía ningún plan a futuro, se considera a su misma una persona que había nacido con mala suerte y que siempre estaba esperando que algo le sucediera, vivía en depresión así que decidió suicidarse en un puente, pero antes de poder hacerlo un hombre la detiene, este hombre trabajaba en el mundo del entretenimiento, el es un lanzador de cuchillos así que le ofrece a la chica el trabajo de ser su diana, es decir ser la chica que se coloca en el punto donde van a ser lanzados los cuchillos, prácticamente el hombre le dice que si de todas maneras quiere morir porque no hacer ese trabajo en el cual si el se llega a equivocar al lazar los cuchillo ella puede morir.

As you may have noticed it seems like a very sad story, but it ends up being quite the opposite, it is a story where little by little the protagonists develop deeper feelings for each other, facing different situations, some dangerous and others funny, in a certain part the film shows how the two people find a different meaning to their lives the closer they get, there are some erotic scenes in a knife throwing session that I love, but the point of all this is that even when the protagonists each fight with their traumas, in the end it is as if they both end up saving each other, it is a film that after making me shed tears in the end leaves me with a smile on my face, a sigh and the hope that every person who has suffered deserves a happy ending, it is a very beautiful film.

Como podrán haberse dado cuenta parece una historia muy triste, pero termina siendo todo lo contrario, es una historia done poco a poco los protagonistas van desarrollando sentimientos mas profundo el uno por el otro, enfrentándose a diferentes situaciones, algunas de peligro y otras divertidas, en cierta parte la película muestra como las dos personas van encontrándole un significado distinto a su vida en cuando mas se acercan, hay unas escenas un poco erótica en una sesión de lanzar cuchillo que me encanta, pero el punto de todo esto es que aun cuando los protagonistas luchan cada uno con sus traumas, al final es como si ambos se terminan salvándose uno al otro, es una película que después de hacerme derramar lagrimas al final me termina dejándome una sonrisa en el rostro, un suspiro y al esperanza de que toda persona que ha sufrido merece un final feliz, es una película muy hermosa.
