Film Review : Do Patti (2024)
I understand why many people love Bollywood dramas. Of the many types of film and drama productions, Bollywood has never faded amidst changing eras. I think, even though there are too many songs and music, until in the end the duration of the film is too long, we will never get tired. One of the keys is about the storyline that is never boring.
There are many different Bollywood films, even they are on my 'Out of the box' list. The story will never be the same, even though it is a love story, the elements in the story are always different. That is why Bollywood film productions always have a place in the hearts of their fans.
When I get a Bollywood film that many people recommend, I will always watch it. Although I always curate some films that are too long in music and dance, sometimes I skip it, but that will not change my enthusiasm. One of them is the Netflix series, Do Patti.
I have idolized Kajol since 20 years ago. She was one of my idols when I was in elementary school. Seeing it on television is a natural thing, one reason is because my mother likes the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Almost every week there is a TV station that broadcasts Bollywood films and the most frequently shown is the film starring Kajol. At that time, she was really charming and enchanting.
However, I went back to watch the film starring her. Tells the story of an inspector in the Uttarakhand police, named Vidya who is handling a suspicious case for her. She accidentally meets a woman named Saumya who reports her husband, Dhruv and is going to kill him.
Not only that, this film is really special with its story that has a plot twist. I think I will never skip any scene in this film because it is very exciting. Very detailed and tense like a thriller.
At the beginning of the film, I thought this was just an ordinary romantic film, with promising visuals and an unusual set for a romantic film. It turns out, this is not just a story of two twin brothers who have a dispute, but much deeper.
This film brings up an extraordinary story, a case of violence that often occurs anywhere, especially India. How women become a punching bag for a husband's violence and how much they struggle to deal with this case of violence. Because in reality, domestic violence is often trivialized, of course, this is a scary specter and deserves to be solved because it concerns someone's safety.
Although in fact this film raises a true story from several incidents. I think this film deserves to be appreciated with its dense plot and the story of a family that finally becomes more harmonious because of trauma and inner wounds that have been suppressed for too long.
Note: I took some of the movie clips from Netflix screenshots.

Call me Isdarmady, because I have a full name that is very long, namely Isdarmady Syahputra Ritonga. I am a head of the family who work as Farmers Vegetables Hydroponic and Consultant Hydroponics, sometimes I also sell coffee from various regions in Indonesia.
I have expertise dispensing coffee with a variety of techniques and tools brewing, because I have the desire to make a coffee shop with hydroponics as centerpieces. Help me realize that dream.

I totally shock when you said that you like Kajol. In that film, I think she doing well but I think their character is not stronger enough but That's the portrait of an Indian police officer in some crime films.
Kajol and Rani Mukerji are a superstar in my Era. Although they do not have strong characters in this film, their presence gives something bigger.
yup, she is...
