Weekend With Oppenheimer

How are you today ? I hope and pray, we are all always in a state of health and also happiness in living this life. We must all be very happy, finally the weekend is coming back to us. After work and activities from Monday to Friday, we finally take a break from our routine life.

There are many ways people spend their time on weekends, some people go for vacations or recreation and some people also prefer to sleep on weekends. To be honest, as the owner of a small business about urban farming and hydroponic equipment, I hardly ever enjoy a weekend. Because on weekends, many people or visitors come to my hydroponic garden.

However, once in a while I want to enjoy life like a normal person, namely doing recreation on the weekends. Moreover, I haven't invited my wife for recreation on Sundays in a long time. I have a surprise plan to take my wife to watch a movie at the cinema.

I ordered cinema tickets through an online application and I ordered a movie showing at one o'clock in the afternoon. I'm very lucky to understand technology like this, because when I came to cinema. I saw a long queue at the reception to buy tickets. I don't need to queue, I just scan the barcode and my ticket is printed.

After taking care of the tickets, I immediately invited my wife to look for snacks. I see the duration of the film that I will watch is about three hours, of course you can imagine how it feels to watch in the cinema without eating and drinking for three hours. There is only one menu that is most suitable and appropriate for watching in the cinema, namely Cola and Popcorn.

So, what movie did I watch this time? I took my wife to watch Oppenheimer at the nearest Cinema from where I live. My wife asked me, why suddenly go to the cinema? Isn't it that during 2023 we only watch movies on OTP Streaming such as Netflix, Hotstar or Prime Video. I gave my wife the answer, “because this is Nolan Movie”.

My wife keeps asking, why Christopher Nolan's movies? I answered that Nolan Movie will always provide a memorable cinema experience. I also give examples of some of Nolan's famous films such as Interstellar, Inception and The Dark Knight Batman Trilogy.

I didn't see Oppenheimer's review, and I didn't find out anything about this film either. I came to the cinema with an empty glass and high curiosity. I have only one reason, movies written and directed by Christopher Nolan almost always amaze me. I went to the cinema for that reason.

As I expected, a duration of three hours will not feel long when watching high-quality movies. I enjoy every second and minute when watching Oppenheimer. I can't imagine that a story about a famous physicist can become a drama biography that is very interesting to watch.

I feel that every audience who is in the same cinema building also feels that way. Especially in one scene which is the peak of the tension in this film, I can feel everyone holding their breath and being silent. If you've watch it, you know the scene I'm say about that.

After watching, my wife looks very happy. I don't know, he was happy because he saw Oppenheimer or he was happy because he finally went to the cinema again after so long. However, because all the way back home, he kept on discussing stories from the movie we watched earlier. I feel that he is also happy with the film I chose this time. So, it's been a fun weekend for us and hopefully it will be our encouragement for tomorrow.
