The story follows Clair Hamilton (Gina Carano), a former military officer who lives a quiet life with her young son, Lucas, on an isolated farm in the Canadian wilderness.
After the unexpected death of her father, Clair returns to the family farm to attend the funeral. Upon arrival, she discovers that her father has left her not only the property, but also a considerable sum of money, which soon becomes the target of a dangerous criminal group.
While Clair is still mourning the loss of her father, a group of armed mercenaries kidnap her son, Lucas, with the intention of demanding a ransom.

To save her son, Clair is forced to call on her combat skills and survival instincts, taking the fight directly to the mercenaries in the desert.
As the tension mounts, Clair's battle to protect her son becomes a brutal and ruthless fight against the criminals, testing both her physical and mental limits.
Clair must be cunning and find a way to survive the criminals, while dealing with the emotional cost of her loss and the terror of seeing her son in danger.
As the action unfolds, the desert becomes both an ally and an adversary, adding an additional layer of danger to her already critical situation.
