Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Marvel's blockbuster "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", directed by Sam Raimi, marks the horror master's return to the comic book.

What surprised me most was seeing the great Sam Raimi unleashed to narrate an Evil Dead-esque superhero adventure from his darkest side.

Benedict Cumberbatch once again impresses as the Sorcerer Supreme, facing off against creepy multiversal threats. Elizabeth Olsen also shines as Wanda.

But I most enjoyed Raimi's sinister twists to the formula, with mind-bending magical combat and hellish creatures.

His signature gore comes through without fear of straying from the more familiar Marvel tone.

Visually spectacular and with his best casting choices, the horror master brings newness to the genre.

One of the MCU's most thrilling and unpredictable installments to date, it ups the ante thanks to Raimi's unparalleled talent.

It was a box office success, grossing over $950 million.
