Dolittle is a big-budget adventure starring Robert Downey Jr. as the eccentric Dr. John Dolittle, a veterinarian in Victorian England with the unique gift of being able to communicate with animals.

When young Queen Victoria unexpectedly falls gravely ill, it's up to Dolittle and his furry animal friends to embark on an epic journey to a mythical island in search of a legendary tree whose leaves are said to have miraculous healing powers.

Joining Dolittle on his voyage are his loyal companions including a gorilla bodyguard, an anxious duck, and a cranky polar bear. They encounter many dangers on the high seas including fierce storms and terrifying sea monsters.

Dolittle must also face his secrets from the past and overcome his grief over losing his wife to fully commit to the dangerous mission.
