Director Doug Liman created a sci-fi epic with Edge of Tomorrow that exceeded all expectations thanks to inventive storytelling and dazzling execution.
Tom Cruise delivers arguably his best performance as a PR man in combat against an extraterrestrial enemy. He anchors the complex narrative in time with courage and humor.
Emily Blunt is a force of nature in the role of a Special Forces soldier who toughens Cruise on her repeated day of death. Their energetic chemistry fuels the fast-paced thrills of Edge.
Through intricate editing and choreography, Liman combines his trademark heightened realism with epic sci-fi bombast. Each scene is a tactile work of art that exploits every advantage of the medium.

Great performances and spectacle are only half the triumph. Edge's clever take on the time travel genre rewards repeat viewings and the search for new layers.
Cruise and Liman prove that mainstream cinema can still challenge us when filmmakers dare to innovate. Edge of Tomorrow is an instant sci-fi masterpiece with re-watchable brilliance that will not soon be surpassed.
Edge of Tomorrow earned an Oscar nomination for Best Visual Effects, in just recognition of its innovative time-loop sequences.

This movie is one of my favorites, I've seen it about 4 times and it's still very good. The best thing is that for 2026 is expected the release of its second part or better said, a spin off. 💕
