Intrigued and disturbed, he decides to investigate more about this double, named Anthony Claire, also played by Gyllenhaal.
As Adam delves deeper into Anthony's life, he discovers that Anthony is a successful actor living a completely different life, full of charisma and relationships, in contrast to his own.
Adam's obsession with his doppelganger leads him to seek him out, and eventually they manage to meet. However, their meeting is not what Adam expected.
Anthony, who is in a relationship with a woman named Helen, is unnerved and threatened by Adam's presence.
As the story progresses, the tension between the two men intensifies, and Adam begins to question his own identity and the nature of reality.

The narrative becomes increasingly surreal, and the viewer finds himself immersed in a world of confusion and paranoia.
The eerie atmosphere and stylized cinematography, along with Daniel Pemberton's haunting score, contribute to the sense of unease that permeates the entire film.
Jake Gyllenhaal's performance is exceptional, playing two complex characters that reflect different aspects of the human psyche.
