Funny, nice and entertaining movie about the adventures of the most famous beetle Herbie. I am a fan of the beetle, in fact I have one, and I found it a very funny movie for children and adults, for all audiences.

Disney had not brought Herbie to the big screen for many years, I think since 1977, and in 2005 he returned with this film, in which I was surprised to see actors like Michael Keaton and Matt Dillon.

It is a very funny movie at times, and the truth is that Lindsay Lohan is very well suited to the role of the young owner of this crazy beetle. To me it has the same charm as the previous movies about Herbie from the 60s and 70s.

It is almost a carbon copy of the previous movies and it is true that it could have a little more content and that the performances of Lindsay Lohan, Matt Dillon and Michael Keaton among others, could have been a little more complete and delivered, but what can we do, we are not going to ask it to be a masterpiece, it is a movie for what it is, to entertain and laugh a little and nothing more.

Disney is Disney and its productions are what they are, commercials to the maximum for children and for the not so children to laugh a little.

When you see this movie, the previous Herbie movies or other Disney movies you already know what you are going to see, it's like when you see a Kubrick or Coppola movie you want to see something else, please, don't criticize it so much, it is what it is.

In addition they did very well in rescuing for the cinema all a car of cult, mythical and that never goes out of fashion as the Volkswagen Beetle for the cinema (by the way that there is no American movie of the 70s or 80s that does not appear some VW Beetle in some scene, although it is indirectly and of “ secondary ”, it is incredible it appears in all of them).

It is true that Herbie at its best is a film more commercial than a donut or a coke, and with little background but it fulfills its purpose to entertain.

This is one of the examples in which much is achieved with very little, little in the sense that the story did not lend itself to much, but the message of family unity is pleasing, let's hope that Disney continues with this trend, if so it already has a consumer.
