My opinion about the film "Totem".

"Totem is certainly a clear example that quality films can be made on a smaller budget, but require a huge investment of talent.

Technically it's a real feat, those very long and well done sequential shots and the camera shots and positions so close that you can almost smell the scent of that room, and the acting so realistic that it doesn't even look like a movie. it feels like you're really living with that family.

But I think its plot, its story itself, is it too intimate or too simple?

Because the plot doesn't show us much more than telling us "a day in the life of...".

Maybe that's the case, or maybe it's just that I didn't connect with its story and characters.

In any case, this does not diminish the enormous technical advantages it possesses and deserves recognition.
