The mystery/adventure series "La Brea" proved an entertaining and successful bet in its first season premiered on NBC in 2021 and has been extended to three and will premiere its fourth and final season this year.

The latter then find themselves transported to a curious and dangerous place 10,000 years before Christ, where they must contend with prehistoric beasts in order to survive.

The production was able to develop the concept throughout its initial 10 episodes, sustaining the intrigue of this peculiar disaster and the investigation in the present for the following seasons.

Zea and Macken charismatically lead the roles of Dr. Samantha and Ty Grady, who with their children seek to unravel the mystery amidst confrontations with mammoths and smilodons.

A series that seamlessly weaves together action, moral dilemmas and speculation about the origin of humanity as well as time travel.

A fresh and addictive proposal that has managed to exploit the intriguing premise of its singular journey between different eras with skill.
