Good Omens | Earth isn't going just to end itsel

I decided to watch Good Omens after seeing a Twitter thread where they listed the characters who may have had a love relationship but was never shown, and indeed, after watching the first season, which is the only one so far, because in July the second season premieres, which surprised me too much and I was glad, because I had read some time ago that it had been canceled, yes, Aziraphale and Crowley could easily have come to have a love relationship, even if they haven't shown it, besides, it's impossible to resist a forbidden love like that of an angel and a demon, although technically Crowley is a fallen angel, but none of that matters, everything is better if it's gay and love is between two beings that couldn't be together, so yes, I'm glad there are a lot of fanfics about it.

Good Omens is about many things, though only one is the main one, no matter that it doesn't seem so, because even though it's the central plot, it seems to matter very little, and that's a wonder. The end of the world, the definitive one, the last one, the irreplaceable destruction of the earth and human beings has finally begun, the war between hell and heaven, good and evil, the battle that will decide which of the two sides is the strongest and the winner for all eternity, only that there are many rules, many things that have to happen in a certain way to fulfill the final destiny of the existence of all things, but it's not going to be like that, everything will go wrong, an angel and a demon working together while their respective departments watch over them, there are witches and prophecies involved, witch hunters, hellhounds, and 11 year old kids who will be the last line of battle to save the world, so yes, nothing makes sense, and that's what makes Good Omens more special.

Decidí que vería Good Omens después de ver un hilo de Twitter donde enlistaban a los personajes que posiblemente hayan tenido una relación amorosa pero que nunca fue mostrada, y efectivamente, después de ver la primera temporada, que es la única hasta los momentos, pues en julio se estrena la segunda temporada, cosa que me sorprendió demasiado y me alegró, pues había leído hace tiempo que la habían cancelado, sí, Aziraphale y Crowley facilmente pudieron haber llegado a tener una relación amorosa, aunque no la hayan mostrado, además, es imposible que resistirse a un amor prohibido como el de un ángel y un demonio, aunque técnicamente Crowley es un ángel caído, pero nada de eso importa, todo es mejor si es gay y el amor es entre dos seres que no podrían estar juntos, así que sí, me alegro de que haya muchos fanfics al respecto.

Good Omens trata sobre muchas cosas, aunque una sola es la principal, sin importar que no lo parezca, pues aunque es la trama central, pareciera que importara muy poco, y eso es una maravila. El fin del mundo, el definitivo, el último, la irremplazable destrucción de la tierra y de los seres humanos al fin ha comenzado, la guerra entre el infierno y el cielo, el bien y el mal, la batalla que decidirá cuál de los dos bandos es el más fuerte y el vencedor por toda la eternida, solo que hay muchas reglas, muchas cosas que tienen que suceder de cierta forma para que se cumpla el destino final de la existencia de todas las cosas, pero no va a ser así, todo se saldrá de contról, un ángel y un demonio trabajando juntos mientras sus respectivos departamentos los vigilan, hay brujas y profecias de por medio, cazadores de brujas, perros infernales, y niños de 11 años que serán la última linea de combate para salvar al mundo, así que sí, nada tiene sentido, y eso es lo que hace más especial a Good Omens.

I don't know if I love Michael Sheen as Aziraphale or David Tennant as Crowley more, both become dan different and equal, complementing each other in such a smooth and perfect way, that no matter the scene you couldn't help but notice the tension in the air, yes, I may be hallucinating and I don't care, but I loved them together, I can't wait for the second season to come out and see them together again trying to save and destroy the world at the same time, it's more fun than it seems.

The story in general seemed deficient to me, very good, but deficient, maybe it's because I haven't read the book, making me notice the transitions between the parts of the stories very abrupt, I don't know, like they didn't give us enough time to assimilate that they were intercalating and it overwhelmed a lot, although that was only in the first chapters, already in the last two chapters the intensity and the rhythm is just as accelerated as the speed with which they intercalate the stories, so it doesn't matter.

No sé si amo más a Michael Sheen como Aziraphale o a David Tennant como Crowley, ambos llegar a ser dan diferentes e iguales, complementándose de una forma tan suave y perfecta, que sin importar la escena no podías evitar notar la tensión en el aire, sí, puedo estar alucinando y no me importa, pero los amé juntos, no puedo esperar para que salga la segunda temporada y volver a verlos juntos tratando de salvar y destruir al mundo al mismo tiempo, es más divertido de lo que parece.

La historia en general me pareció deficiente, muy buena, pero deficiente, quizás sea porque no he leído el libro, haciendo que notara las transiciones entre las partes de las historias muy bruscas, no sé, como que no nos daban el tiempo suficiente de asimilar que estaban intercalándose y abrumaba mucho, aunque eso fue solo en los primeros capítulos, ya en los últimos dos capítulos la intensidad y el ritmo es igual de acelarado que la velocidad con la que intercalan las historias, así que no importa.

I don't know what to talk about anymore, the soundtrack is impeccable, sometimes I found myself singing the songs before I even realized I was doing it, that's how awesome it is. The performances are average, with Aziraphale and Crowley standing out the most, of course, because even though the story is about the apocalypse and all that, it revolves around the existence of the two opposing creatures who have a destiny bound by unknown forces.

One of my favorite things were all the references to Supernatural, I mean, even the actor who plays Metatron appeared, I laughed too much every time something similar happened, and it's not because many parts of the story would have been similar, since when it comes to the Catholic Christian religion there is not much to choose from, so all the references were clearly made with that intention, nothing was accidental.

Ya no sé de qué hablar, el soundtrack es impecable, a veces me encontraba cantando las canciones antes de que me diera cuenta de que lo estaba haciendo, así de increíble es. Las actuaciones son regulares, siendo Aziraphale y Crowley quienes más destacan, claro está, porque a pesar de que la historia es sobre el apocalipsis y todo eso, gira en torno a la existencia de las dos criaturas opuestas que tienen un destino ligado por fuerzas desconocidas.

Una de mis cosas favoritas fueron todas las referencias que hubo con Supernatural, o sea, incluso el actor que hace de Metatron apareció, me reía demasiado cada vez que pasaba algo parecido, y no es porque muchas partes de la historia hubieran sido parecidas, puesto que cuando se trata de la religión católico cristiana no hay mucho de dónde escojer, así que todas las referencias fueron hechas claramente con esa intención, nada fue accidental.

My favorite thing about the series, and what made me fall in love and love more, was not Aziraphale and Crowley, maybe the performances, but not even that, but the construction of the characters from the beginning, of the two of them specifically, because they are not the typical angel and demon who work together, being the angel more good than he should be, who gets to obviate the evil he can do, nor the good demon who denies his nature and would not want to be what he is, although there is a very subtle moment in the series where Crowley says he did not even want to have been banished from heaven, but it is something that is never mentioned again, so hopefully in this second season they explore more that aspect of him. Both angel and demon, I don't know if because of all their time on earth with humans, which is literally since the creation of Adam and Eve, which I loved that they made them black, that was epic, thank you, they made my whole life with that, anyway, there came a point where Aziraphale and Crowley are more human than immortal beings who can be killed in the right way, and that made them perfectly imperfect, making them not insufferable and who we could come to identify with.

There you have the trailer of the first season, there is already the trailer of the second season, but I haven't even seen it, so I don't know what story they are going to tell now, this is a completely relaxed series that has a very high level and can surprise us, completely enjoyable and not at all heavy, it is totally worth it, I regret not having seen it before.

Mi cosa favorita en sí de la serie, y que me hizo enamorarme y querer más, no fueron en sí Aziraphale y Crowley, quizás las actuaciones, pero ni siquiera eso, si no la construcción de los personajes desde un principio, de ellos dos en específico, pues no son el típico ángel y demonio que trabajan juntos, siendo el ángel más bueno de lo que debería, que llega a obviar el mal que puede llegar a hacer, ni el demonio bueno que reniega de su naturaleza y no quisiera ser lo que es, aunque sí hay un momento muy sutil en la serie donde Crowley dice que ni siquiera quería haber sido desterrado del cielo, pero es algo que nunca se vuelve a mencionar, así que esperemos que en esta segunda temporada exploren más ese aspecto de él. Ambos, ángel y demonio, no sé si a causa de todo su tiempo en la tierra con los humanos, que es literal desde la creación de Adám y Eva, que amé que los hicieran negros, eso fue épico, gracias, me hicieron la vida entera con eso, en fin, llegó un punto en que Aziraphale y Crowley son más humanos que seres inmortales que pueden ser asesinados de la forma correcta, y eso los hizo perfectamente imperfectos, haciendo que no sean insufribles y con quienes nos pudiéramos llegar a identificar.

Ahí tienen el trailer de la primera temporada, ya está el trailer de la segunda temporada, pero ni siquiera lo he visto, así que no sé qué historia van a contar ahora, esta es una serie completamente relajada que tiene un nivel muy alto y puede llegar a sorprendernos, completamente disfrutable y para nada pesada, vale totalmente la pena, lamento no haberla visto antes.
