Harley Quinn | The future is female and evil

Last week while I had a fever most of the day and didn't feel like anything, all I could do was lay in bed staring at the ceiling, so I decided to watch Harley Quinn finally. I had no trouble at all paying attention to it because it's so straightforward, yet very raunchy, enough to watch it without showing any emotion. After all, I was trying not to die of fever. That's the wonder of this kind of series, you don't have to think at all, just keep your eyes open facing the screen and that's enough to understand and enjoy what's going on.

This series already has four seasons, and they better make a fifth, because if not the world will burn, so I'll try not to make so many spoilers. The series begins with Harley getting fed up with always being behind the Joker, so she asks him to be her partner in evil, not just her henchman, the Joker says no, sends her to her death, once again, and she ends her relationship with him, kicking off a giant series of events that will reinvent Harley Quinn as the world knew her, wanting to carve out her name and reputation without having to depend on anyone.

La semana pasada mientras tenía fiebre casi todo el día y no tenía ganas de nada, lo único que podía hacer era estar en cama mirando hacia el techo, así que decidí finalmente ver Harley Quinn. No me costó para nada prestarle atención, porque es tan simple y sencilla, aunque muy estridente, como para verla sin demostrar emoción alguna porque estaba tratando de no morir de fiebre. Es aes la maravilla de este tipo de series, no hay que pensar en absoluto, basta con tener los ojos abiertos orientados a la pantalla y eso es suficiente para entender y disfrutar lo que está pasando.

Esta serie ya tiene cuatro temporadas, y más les vale hacer una quinta, porque si no arderá el mundo, así que trataré de no hacerles tantos spoilers. La serie comienza con Harley hartándose de estar siempre detrás del Joker, así que le pide ser su compañera del mal, no solo su secuas, el Joker le dice que no, la manda a su muerte, una vez más, y ella termina su relación con él, dando comienzo a una serie gigante de eventos que reinventarán a Harley Quinn como el mundo la conocía, queriendo labrar su propio nombre y reputación sin tener que depender de nadie.

In the middle of the wind fever of this series I had two thoughts, the first thought was something along the lines that the series was just what I needed to be in a kind of catatonic state where I didn't show to be aware of living even if I had my eyes open; the second thought is still making me laugh right now, it was about Harley being completely unbearable, shrill, and that Kaley Cuoco did an excellent job giving life to Harley, because the voice was too perfect for a character as unstable and irritating as Harley Quinn.

Yes, no one has any doubt, that Harley is one of the most unstable and irritating in this series, plus it fits her well, any other personality would have been wrong, they did it perfectly. I see this series as if they had taken the supporting character from another series, a supporting character that people love and adore, even if almost everything is wrong with the character, they make him the main character of his series, but if he had no sidekicks, no other characters to balance the scales, the series would be a total disaster, but it is thanks to Poison Ivy, Clayface, King Shark, Dr. Psycho, that the series is a total success.

En medio de la fiebre viento esta serie tuve dos pensamientos, el primer pensamiento era algo tipo que la serie era justo lo que necesitaba para estar en una especie de estado catatónico donde no demostraba estar consciente de vivir aunque tuviera los ojos abiertos; el segundo pensamiento me sigue dando risa en este momento, era sobre que Harley era/es completamente insoportable, estridente, y que Kaley Cuoco hizo un excelente trabajo dándole vida a Harley, porque la voz le quedó demasiado perfecto para un personaje tan inestable e irritante como Harley Quinn.

Sí, a nadie le queda ninguna duda, Harley es de lo más inestable e irritante en esta serie, además de que le queda bien, cualquier otra personalidad hubiera sido errónea, la hicieron a la perfección. Veo esta serie como si hubieran tomado al personaje secundario de otra serie, personaje secundario que la gente ama y adora, aunque casi todo esté mal con el personaje, lo convierten en el personaje principal de su propia serie, pero si no tuviera compañeros, no tuviera otros personajes que equilibraran la balanza, la serie seria un desastre total, pero es gracias a Poison Ivy, Clayface, King Shark, Dr. Psycho, que la serie es un éxito total.

The series is called Harley Quinn, and it's about Harley Quinn, but I don't think the character makes my top five favorite characters, well, maybe the top five, but not the top three. My top three favorite characters are Poison Ivy, King Shark, and Bane. Those three characters were the ones who gave me the most laughter and joy during the fever hours of watching the series. Ivy is the best of them all, no one beats her at anything, well, in the series they do beat her, but as a character, she has no one to match her.

One of the special things about this kind of series is that the story can have all the plot holes it can have, and it would still be a very good series. Each season itself has very good stories and outstanding developments, but as a whole, many things fail, but they don't matter in the least.

La serie se llama Harley Quinn, y es sobre Harley Quinn, pero creo que el personaje no entra en mi top cinco de personaje favoritos, bueno, quizás sí en el top cinco, pero no en el top tres. Mi top tres de personajes favoritos es Poison Ivy, King Shark, y Bane. Esos tres personajes fueron quienes me dieron más risa y alegría durante las horas de fiebre en que veía la serie. Ivy es la mejor de todos, nadie le gana en nada, bueno, en la serie sí le ganan, pero como personaje no tiene nadie que la iguale.

Una de las cosas especiales de este tipo de series es que la historia puede tener todos los agujeros argumentativos que sea, y aún así sería una muy buena serie. Cada temporada en sí tiene muy buenas historias y muy buenos desarrollos, pero como una totalidad hay muchas cosas que fallan, pero que no importan en lo más mínimo.

The first season is a total madness, the second season is a disaster of madness, the third season is a reasonable madness, and the fourth season is an implausible madness. Harley's evolution, as well as that of the other characters, is noticeable with each passing chapter, but Harley is still Harley despite all the changes she gets to have, it's crazy how well they did the character, for her to change so much and remain the same as always.

As I'm not going to leave you the trailer of the fourth season, I will leave you the trailer of the first, which summarizes very well everything we can expect from the series, total madness, full of bad words, lots of blood, more than you expect, resulting in a very good series that makes us laugh even at the most insignificant things that we will get to see.

La primera temporada es una locura total, la segunda temporada es un desastre de locura, la tercera temporada es una locura razonable, y cuarta temporada es una locura inverosímil. La evolución de Harley, así como la de los demás personajes es algo que se nota con cada capítulo que pasa, pero Harley sigue siendo Harley a pesar de todos los cambios llega a tener, es una locura lo bien que hicieron al personaje, para que cambiara tanto y aún así siguiera siendo la misma de siempre.

Como no les voy a dejar el trailer de la cuarta temporada, les dejo el trailer de la primera, que resume muy bien todo lo que podemos llegar a esperar de la serie, una locura total, llena de malas palabras, muchísima sangre, más de la que esperan, dando como resultado a una muy buena serie que nos hace reír incluso de las cosas más insignificantes que vamos a llegar a ver.
